Named after the Roman god of war, Mars has long fascinated and intrigued

mankind as a planet, visible from Earth with the naked eye that may at one

point be able to host human life.

Simply put, the planet Mars may represent a coming chapter in future of

humanity.

While Mars is a terrestrial planet that is dusty, cold with a thin atmosphere,

there is evidence to suggest that Mars was at one point a wetter, warmer planet

with a thicker atmosphere.

Recent explorations by rover and robots operating on its surface today have

given us a real view on its landscape and climate.

It is also known as the ‘Red Planet’ because of the large amounts of iron oxide

in its rocks and soil.

Mars is orbited by two moons, Phobos and Deimos. Both moons are small in

size but may in the future play a big part of our plans to colonize the planet.

MARS

This timepiece is equipped with a self-winding Mechanical Automatic

movement.

It does not need a battery. It is powered by the motions of the user’s own

wrist during the wear of the watch automatically. You may also choose to

wind the watch manually.

Before wearing your watch, make sure to wind it clockwise with 10 rotations

of the crown.

For good measure gently move the watch side to side around 30 times to see

the seconds hand run at its normal speed.

Please make sure to remember that during a period when you are not

wearing the watch, the power reserve of movement will wear down and you

will have to re-wind the watch again before wearing.

AUTOMATIC WATCHES

This watch is equipped with a screw down crown. Do not pull the crown

unless it is unscrewed rst.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE UNSCREWING THE CROWN

TO UNSCREW: Turn the crown anti-clockwise until it

turns freely without tension. Gently pull the crown out

to the other desired positions for watch setting (see

specic operating instructions on the following pages).

SCREW-DOWN CROWN

TO SCREW: Push the crown all the way in (towards the

watch) then begin to turn clockwise until it is securely

screwed down.

Note: Failure to securely screw down the crown after

setting the watch may affect its water resistance.

AUTOMATIC WITH POWER RESERVE

As your watch has a screw down crown feature, release the watch from the

screw-down position before setting.

1. Pull the crown out to position 3, its maximum extension. The second

hand will stop moving.

2. Turn the crown either clockwise or anti-clockwise until the watch hands

are positioned at the desired time. (Check that AM/PM is set correctly.)

3. When the desired time is reached push the crown back to position 1 and

screw down.

NOTE: When time setting is performed in counterclockwise, date hands

reverses. Please reset by date correction.

TIME SETTING

1. Pull the crown out to position 2.

2. Turn the crown clockwise or anti-clockwise until the desired date is shown

in the date window.

3. When the desired date is reached push the crown back to position 1 and

screw down.

NOTE: Do not set the calendar between 9:00 P.M. and 2:00 A.M. If the

setting of the calendar is made during this period, the date will not

change to the next date. Please set the calendar after changing the

time other than the above period.

DATE SETTING

The mainspring if fully wound, generates a power reserve for approximately

40+ hours of normal use. The power reserve indicator is a useful at a glance

reference to indicate how much power remains stored in the mainspring.

Note that the numbers are for reference and actual available power may

differ slightly owing to varying conditions of use and environment.

As power is used and transferred from the mainspring and no other

movements are generated the power reserve indicator will eventually wind

to “O”.
