12. Donotturn themachineona ramp. Donot stopandleavethe machineonaramp orincline.
13. When themachine is parked,take out thekey and setthe parking brake.
14. Duringanymaintenanceoperationdisconnectthepowersupplyfromthemachine.
15. Leadacidbatteries generate gasesthatcancausean explosion. Readtheinstruction manual
suppliedwiththe batterycharger. Keepsparks and flamesawayfrombatteries.
NOSMOKING. Charge the batteriesonlyinan areawithgoodventilation.
16. Do notuse a chargerif thepowercord isdamaged.
17. Alwaysweareye protection and protectiveclothing when workingnear batteries. Removeall
jewelry. Donotput toolsorother metal acrossthebattery terminals,orthe tops ofthe batteries.
18. Checkthelevel of theelectrolyteeverytime you charge thebatteries. Ifthe levelis low,add
distilledwateronly.
19. Maintenanceandrepairs must beperformedbyauthorized Service Centersonly. Make
adjustmentsaccordingtothespecificationsgivenintheservicemanualforthismachine.
20. Keeptheelectrical partsofthemachine dry. Donot washthemachinewith directwaterjetsor
highpressure,norwithcorrosive material. For storage,keep themachine in adry building.
21. Watersolutions orcleaning materials usedwith thistype of machinecan leave wetareas on the
floorsurface. These areascancause adangerouscondition for theoperator or otherpersons.

22. Donotreachunder shrouds with fingers,hands, or toes whenmachine is running.
