INTRODUCTION
This manual provides operating, maintenance and service information
regarding the Post Material Handling Portable Post Lift. Keep this manual
available to management, operator and maintenance personnel who are
responsible for the equipment’s operation and maintenance.
It is essential to read, understand and follow the recommendations of this
manual before operating or servicing this equipment. Failure to do so could
result in serious injury, death and/or property damage.
This equipment should be operated only by qualified personnel. If

DESCRIPTION
PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
This equipment is designed to lift and position product bags over the Bosch
Encapsulator.
A selector switch is located on the operator enclosure to control the
UP/DOWN motion of the machine. Limit switches will stop the lift at the
extremes of motion. An audible annunciator will sound when the lift is in
motion. A battery indicator will show the charge level of the batteries. A
charging port can be connected to a 120VAC extension cord to recharge the
batteries. A handle is provided for the operator to push the lift into position.

POST LIFT OPERATION FOR BAG PLACMENT
1. Turn the POWER OFF/ON selector switch to the ON position.
2. Turn the selector switch to the DOWN position until the lift arm is at a height
where the bag can be placed on the lift.
3. Turn the selector switch to the UP position to lift the bag to an appropriate height
above the Bosch Encapsulator.
4. Position the lift and bag over the discharge port on the Bosch Encapsulator
5. Turn the selector switch to the DOWN position to lower the bag to a point where it
may discharge into the Bosch Encapsulator.
6. Ensure the bag is secure. Discharge the contents into the encapsulator and
repeat.

BATTERY CHARGING
When bar graph on battery
indicator on the side of the control
enclosure is not showing a full
charge, the batteries must be
charged. If the lift is unused for a
period of 4 months, charge the
batteries.
1. Open the power receptacle door.
2. Plug the electrical cord into a 120VAC receptacle.
3. When the battery is fully charged (Approximately 10 hours),
remove the electrical power cord.
SAFETY
Do not operate the Post Lift if the maintenance schedule has not been followed.
Do not defeat any interlocks on the equipment.
This equipment is not designed to operate with any materials than originally specified
and should not be used purposes other than what it was designed for
The equipment should only be operated by qualified personnel that have thoroughly read
and understood the information in this manual.
Do not operate this equipment if any unusual noise or vibration is observed.

MAINTENANCE
Inspect all joints, bearings and
bushing of all articulating members
for wear. Replace as required.
Grease the roller track on a 6 month
period. Refer to the slot cover
replacement instructions shown
below.
Inspect the slot cover for wear and
replace if necessary.
Inspect the roller chain and
sprockets for wear.
Inspect post attachment bolts for
tightness.
