Pro-Bel’sTX520 DigitalMaster ControlSwitcher is a self-contained component
digitalvideo andAES/EBU audio transmissionmixing system. It is normally
operated from the controlpanelbut canbe remotely controlled by anautomation
system. It canbe set up to support single or multi-levelaudio.
TheTX520 canbe used for:
·Making transitions of sources to air using cuts, various fade/take
combinations and wipes (see chapter 3).
·Adding downstream keys (see chapter 4).
·Defining and making audio-overs (see chapter 6).
·Monitoring audio and video sources (see chapters 7 and 8).
·Correcting audio levels (see chapter 15). TheTX520 canalso be set up to
support multi-levelaudio, allowing editing of the audio routing and selection
of the audio levelto monitor onthe audio monitoring speakers (see chapter
16).
·AnoptionalDVE is also available, providing up to 24 pre-programmed
moves (see chapter 5)
Aplasma display (see chapter 12) provides dynamic monitoring of audio levels
and controlof system parameters. Inaddition, the plasma display is used for
system setup and configuration.
Configurationdetails are provided inthe technicalmanual.
Two auxiliary busses (see chapter7) allow previewing of sources without affecting
the preset or programme selections. Two independent dualchanneloutputs
provide audio monitoring (see chapter 8).
From theTX520 console, up to three remote machines canbe controlled directly
(for example, VTRs, laser disks, etc.), or up to 20 sources if theTX520 is
connected to anRS422 router.
TheTX520 canbe operated manually or integrated witha stationautomation
system (see chapter 10).
For fail safe operations, anexternalbypass switcher may be controlled from the
TX520 (see chapter 11).
