The products described in this document consist of components for SecureLock™, and RPS
SecureLock™ for the quick coupler mounted under Rototilt®.
Refer to the illustrations and lists below and on the following pages.

Control Unit RAC
The control unit has one LED, which
indicates how the system is working. The
LED lights in different intervals and in
different colours.

The control unit is installed under the
protective cover on the valve block.

IMPORTANT - Read through the instructions for the
control system, tiltrotator and base machine/excavator use
before starting work. Pay particular attention to the safety
instructions.

Display
1. Indicates the active function of each
function key.
2. Function keys
3. OK, key to conrm the choice or
setting.
4. Arrow keys, used to navigate through
the menus and to increase or
decrease values for active functions.
The system is congured via the display
during the installation.
Error messages, warnings and
information are shown via the display.
The following menus can be accessed
via the start menu on the display:
1. Brightness - display brightness
2. Languages - 7 options
3. Information - current system
information
4. Settings - Installation SecureLock
and RPS code

INFO - A system restart is required to activate the
change.
Language
The language setting is changed via
the menu. The 7 options are; English,
Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian, German,
Danish and French.
Select the ag for the required language.
Now conrm with OK.
Perform a restart.

Brightness
The display brightness is adjusted with
the arrow keys.
Conrm with OK.
Selected settings apply until the system
is restarted. On restart the settings return
to the preprogrammed standard.
System Information
Software version - shows the version
number for the software on each unit.
Serial number - the tiltrotator’s and/or
the machine coupler’s individual number,
also found on each type plate.
Supply Voltage - current supply to the
tiltrotator and/or machine coupler.
RT = Tiltrotator
EX = Machine coupler
Angle
The menu provides information about the
current rotation angle.
The RPS icon is displayed if the function
is activated.

Reminder interval 8 hours
The system shows a reminder, after
every 8 hours of operation.
The reminder indicates that a requisite
service must be carried out.

If the ILS option is specied, the 8 hours
of operation reminder is automatically
switched off.
Reminder general interval
The system also shows reminders for,
every 40, every 160 and every 500 hours
of operation.
The reminder indicates that a requisite
service must be carried out.

IMPORTANT - Detailed information about the
measures to be performed in each interval can be found
in Instruction for use for the tiltrotator. Interval: ”Daily
inspection” every ”8th operating hour” refers to different
service points.

Secure Lock™ for quick coupler
See Operation of the quick coupler in
the Instructions for Use for each control
system.
When the quick coupler is opened a
warning is given that the locking cylinder
has been retracted and is in the open
position.
When the quick coupler is closed, the
message indicates the locking cylinder
is extended and is in a securely locked
position.
A warning text appears on the display if
the attachment is not coupled correctly.
If you do not intended to attach a tool the
warning can be acknowledged.
Press the OK function key.
A visual warning will be shown at 30
second intervals as long as Rototilt® is
running without a tool and remains visible
until any key is pressed again.
Operation
Secure Lock™ for the machine
coupler and quick coupler
The base machine/excavator can be
equipped with both a machine coupler
and a quick coupler with the option
SecureLock™.
If this is the case, the illustration and text
on the display changes.

Trouble shooting
Sensor failure
Sensor failure denotes a fault has
occurred on the sensor and/or cable
harness.
The warning can be acknowledged with
any key.
Communications
The warning indicates that
communications via the CAN-bus have
failed. For detailed troubleshooting:
see Schematics, Control Unit -
Troubleshooting.

Control unit - error codes
Control unit SecureLock / RPS - Trouble shooting
At start-up - Quick coupler
Signal Diagnosis
Red light for 0.5 seconds turns into a xed green light. The system is OK
At start-up - Machine coupler
Signal Diagnosis
Red light for 0.5 seconds, followed by a ashing orange light,
which turns into a xed green light.
While the LED is ashing orange communications between the
control unit and CAN bus are established.
The system is OK
While work is in progress - quick coupler & machine coupler
Signal Diagnosis
Flashing green light Voltage is too low (˂9V)
Fixed orange light CAN bus - short circuit
Flashing orange light No reception for the CAN bus
Flashing red and green light The device is not configured
Fixed red light The system is disabled.
Sensor Control RPS - Trouble shooting
Sensor - Signal Diagnosis
Flashing yellow light, 1 time/rotation when the sensor passes. Zero position sensor is OK.
Control unit - signal Diagnosis
1s Green light goes out for 1 second at the same time as the yellow
light from the zero position sensor goes out.
The control unit receives signals from
the zero position sensor.
Red light comes on for 1 second at the same time as the yellow
light from the zero position sensor goes out.
Rotation sensor fault.
