STEP PROCEDURE
1. Switch the printer OFF and
disconnect the AC power cord.
2. Raise the access door and
remove (2) screws holding the
side cover to the inside frame.

3. Remove (2) screws holding the
side cover to the o tside frame.
Remove the cover to expose the
electronics.

STEP PROCEDURE
1. Remove (2) screws to detach the tear bar. Retain the screws.
2. Remove and retain screw from nder the front access door latch.
Ro te the cable from the G ide Frame Unit thro gh the hole in
the side wall and sec re nit with (3) screws as shown. Figs. 3

STEP PROCEDURE
3. Remove (4) screws to detach the access plate. Retain the screws. Fig. 4
4. Gently g ide the Rewind Shaft Unit thro gh the access opening. Note the
correct orientation of the bracket on the nit. Attach the rewind shaft nit with
screws previo sly removed from the access plate. Figs. 5 & 6

THE CORRECT ORIENTATION
OF THE BRACKET ON THE

ROUTE THE BELT AROUND IDLER
GEARS ON SUB FRAME UNIT AS
SHOWN. PLACE THE SUB FRAME
UNIT ON THE REWIND SHAFT UNIT
BRACKET. THERE ARE (2)
LOCATING PINS ON THE BRACKET.

STEP PROCEDURE
5. Loosen (2) screws holding the stepper motor and detach the belt. Fig. 7
6. Attach the s b frame nit to the bracket on the rewind shaft nit. Note the
locating pins. Ro te the timing belt in position as shown, then sec re the
bracket with screw. Figs. 8

ROUTE AND ATTACH THE BELT
FROM THE IDLER GEARS TO
THE STEPPER MOTOR SHAFT.
REATTACH THE MOTOR BELT
PREVIOUSLY REMOVED.
TIGHTEN THE MOTOR MOUTING
SCREWS
ATTACH ADJUST PLATE UNIT
TO THE SURFACE OF SUB
FRAME UNIT WITH (2)
SCREWS AS SHOWN.
BE SURE THE BELT IS
ENGAGED ON THE
GEAR OF THE ADJUST
PLATE UNIT
ADJUSTMENT SCREW -

STEP PROCEDURE
7. Ro te and attach the belt from the idler gears to the stepper motor.
Reattach the motor belt previo sly removed. Tighten the motor mo nting
screws. Fig. 9
8. Attach Adj st Plate Unit to the S b Frame Unit with (2) screws. Attach
the tension spring. Adj st the belt tension as necessary with the
adj stment screw. Fig. 10

9. Attach Cable Stay to frame. Connect the cable from the g ide plate nit
into CN10 on the Main PC Board. Make s re the cable does not to ch the
motor p lley. Figs. 11
10. Attach (4) Blade Springs to spindle with screws provided. Position roll
holder to spindle. Figs. 12
11. Replace the side cover and sec re with screws previo sly removed.
12. Install labels per Figs. 13 & 14.
