1 Quick Start
1.1 Overview
The TS8000x is a power transmitter communications and control unit for wireless
charging applications. The TS8000x can support power outputs up to 40W+, and
supports Qi® compliant, PMA compliant and proprietary applications. The TS8000x
can be configured to drive single or multi-coil applications, in half and full-bridge
systems.
We provide a GUI running on PC which allows customer to configure and calibrate
parameters of the Tx board. This quick start chapter will show you how to connect
your TS80000 Tx board to PC in the simplest way.

1.2 Connect to PC GUI
Follow below procedures to connect the Tx board to GUI.
1. Connect Tx board micro USB to PC.
. Run GUI “TS8XGUI”
Mode = BOOTLOADER, Com = USB-HID, Check Status Every 100ms
Status is “Disconnected” now

3. Connect DC 19V power, then Tx board is now connected to GUI
1.3 Adjust Parameters
In BOOTLOADER Mode, there are 4 tabs including Register, Configuration,
Calibration, Firmware, for customer to adjust parameters to Tx or read information
from Tx.
Refer to “Page Error: Reference source not found, Chapter Error: Reference source
not found Error: Reference source not found” for more detail.
1.4 Run Tx ode
After you confirm and save all the parameters in above procedures, you can run Tx
with your new parameters in TRANSMITTER Mode.
1. Unplug power supply
. Unplug Tx micro USB from PC
3. Plug power supply
4. Now Tx board is running in TRANSMITTER Mode.
1.5 Toggle Tx between BOOTLOADER and TRANS ITTER
ode
Tx can be toggled running between BOOTLOADER Mode and TRANSMITTER
Mode by selecting Mode in GUI without plug/unplug any cable.
Make sure the Com it kept in USB-HID, otherwise Tx will lose connection.
User changes parameters in BOOTLAODER Mode, then switch to TRANSMITTER
mode to evaluate the chagnes. This feature is very convient for user to fine tune
parameters between BOOTLAODER and TRANSMITTER mode.
1.6 Adjust Parameters and run APIs
In BOOTLOADER Mode, there are 5 tabs including Register, Configuration,
Calibration, Firmware, for customer to adjust parameters to Tx or read information
from Tx.

In TRANSMITTER Mode, there are tabs including Register, Configuration,
Calibration, Firmware, for customer to adjust parameters to Tx or read information
from Tx.
(Note: the Api in BOOTLOADER and in TRANSMITTER may different)
2 BOOTLOADER mo e
In BOOTLOADER Mode, there are 5 tabs including Register, Api, Configuration,
Calibration, Firmware, for customer to adjust parameters to Tx or read information
from Tx.
But in TRANSMITTER Moder, there is only 1 tab of Reigister available.
2.1 Register

The register is read-only if its R/W property is R. The register is read-write if its R/W
property is R/W.
Click button to read corresponding register. Click button to read all
registers. Check to read all resiger automatically.
To change setting of a read-write register, double click its Value or Bit Field to open
Bit Value Edit window.

Click to toggle bit between 1 and 0. Then click button and button.
The Register in TRANSMITTER Mode is similar with BOOTLOADER Mode.

2.5 Firmware

Firmware tab allows user to merge file, program file or get the current firmware
version.
2.5.1 Merge
Merge file is to merge a selected Firmware, Configuration bin file, Calibration bin file
together to generate an Image bin file. Then this Image file can be program to any
TS80000 Tx boards later.
To make an image merge, follow below steps:
1. Click to select a Firmware file to merge
i.e.
. Click to select a Configuration file to merege
i.e.
3. Click to select a Calibration file to merege

4. Click Merge button , input a file name. i.e.
The merge file has been gerenated

2.5.2 Program
To program Image bin file to a TS8000 Tx board, follow below steps:
1. Click to select an Image bin file to program
i.e.
. Check which portion you’d like to program to Tx
3. Click button
2.5.3 Firmware Version
Click to read current firmware version of Tx board. i.e.:

In TRANSMITTER Moder, there are tabs for user adjustment.
