Choosing the right cookware-

Donotusecookwarewithjaggededgesoracurvedbase.

Makesurethatthebaseofyourpanissmooth,sitsatagainsttheglass,andisthesamesize

asthecookingzone.Alwayscentreyourpanonthecookingzone.

Theceramiccookerhobcentresoncustomersandadoptspersonaliseddesign.Thehobhas

safeandreliableperformances,makingyourlifecomfortableandenablingyoutofullyenjoylife.

Before using your new ceramic hob

• Readthisguide,takingspecialnoteofsafetywarningssection

• Removeanyprotectivelmthatmaystillbeonyourceramichob

Using the touch controls

• Thecontrolsrespondtotouch,soyoudon’tneedtoapplyanypressure

• Usetheballofyournger,notitstip

• Youwillhearabeepeachtimeatouchisregistered

• Makesurethecontrolsarealwaysclean,dryandthatthereisnoobject(e.g.utensilor

 acloth)coveringthem.Evenathinlmofwatercanmakethecontrolsdifculttooperate.

Alwaysliftpansofftheceramichob-donotslide,ortheyscratchtheglass.

Using your ceramic hob

To start cooking

Afterpowerison,thebuzzerbeepsonce,alltheindicatorslightupfor1secondthengoout,

indicatingthattheceramichobhasenteredthestateofstandbymode.

1.TouchtheON/OFFcontrol.Alltheindicatorsshow“-”

2.Placeasuitablepanonthecookingzonethatyouwishtouse.

 Makesurethebottomofthepanandthesurfaceofthecooking

 zonearecleananddry

3.Selectaheatsettingbytouchingthe“-”or“+”control.

Ifyoudon’tchooseaheatsettingwithin1minute,theceramic

hobwillautomaticallyswitchoff.Youwillneedtostartagainat

step1.

Youcanmodifytheheatsettingatanytimeduringcooking.

When you have nished cooking-

1.Turnthecookingzoneoffbyscrollingdownto“0”ortouching“-”and“+”controltogether



2.TurnthewholecooktopoffbytouchingtheON/OFFcontrol.

3.Bewareofhotsurfaces

 “H”willshowcookingzoneishottotouch.Itwilldisappearwhenthesurfacehascooled

 downtoasafetemperature.Itcanalsobeusedasanenergysavingfunctionifyouwantto

 heatfurtherpans,usethehotplatethatisstillhot.



Locking the controls

• Youcanlockthecontrolstopreventunintendeduse(forexamplechildrenaccidentally

 turningthecookingzoneson)

• Whenthecontrolsarelocked,allthecontrolsexcepttheON/OFFcontrolaredisabled.

To lock the controls-

Touchthekeylockcontrol.Thetimerindicatorwillshow“LO”

To unlock the controls-

1.Makesuretheceramichobisturnedon

2.Touchandholdthekeylockcontrolforawhile

3.Youcannowstartusingyourceramichob

When the hob is in the lock mode, all the controls are disabled except the ON/OFF,

you can always turn the ceramic hob off with the ON/OFF control in an emergency,

but you shall unlock the hob rst in the next operation.

Over-temperature protection-

Atemperaturesensormonitorsthetemperatureinsidetheceramichob.Whenanexcessive

temperatureismonitored,theceramichobwillstopoperationautomatically.

Residual heat warning-

Whenthehobhasbeenoperatingforsometime,therewillbesomeresidualheat.Theletter“H”

appearstowarnyoutokeepawayfromit.

Auto shutdown-

Anothersafetyfeatureofthehobisautoshutdown.Thisoccurswheneveryouforgettoswitch

offacookingzone.Thedefaultshutdowntimesareshowninthetablebelow-

Using the Timer-

Youcanusethetimerin2differentways:

• Youcanuseitasaminuteminder.Inthiscase,thetimerwillnotturnanycookingzone

 offwhenthesetuptimeisup

• Youcansetittoturnonecookingzoneoffafterthesettimeisup

• Youcansetthetimerforupto99minutes



Using the timer as a minute minder-

If you are not selecting any cooking zone

1.Makesurethecooktopisturnedon.Note:youcanusetheminuteminderevenifyou’renot

selectinganycookingzones.

2.Touchthe“-”or“+”controlsofthetimer,theminuteminderindicatorwillash

3.Adjustthetimersettingbytouchingthe“-”or“+”controls.

 Theminuteminderindicatorwillstartashingandwill

 showinthetimerdisplay.



Hint:Touchthe“-”or“+”controlofthetimeroncetodecreaseorincreaseby1minute.

Touchandholdthe“-”or“+”controlofthetimertodecreaseorincreaseby10minutes.

Ifthesettingtimeexceeds99minutes,thetimerwillautomaticallyreturnto0minute.

4.Touchingthe“-”and“+”together,thetimeriscancelledand“--”willshowinthe

 minutedisplay.

5.Whenthetimeisset,itwillbegintocountdownimmediately.

 Thedisplaywillshowtheremainingtimeandthetimerindicatorwill

 ashfor5seconds.

6.Buzzerwillbeepfor30secondsandthetimerindicatorshows“--”

 whenthesettingtimenishes.

Setting the timer to turn one cooking zone off-

1.Touchingtheheatingzoneselectioncontrolyouwanttoset

 thetimefor



2.Setthetimebytouchingthe“-”or“+”controlofthetimer

HINT: Touchthe–or+controlofthetimeroncewilldecreaseor

increaseby1minute.

Touchandholddownthe–or+controlofthetimeranditwilldecrease

orincreaseby10minutes.

Ifthesettingtimeexceeds99minutes,thetimerwillautomaticallyreturnto0minute.

3.Touchingthe“-”and“+”together,thetimerincancelled,

 andthedisplaywillshow“--”intheminutedisplay.

4.Whenthetimeisset,itwillbegintocountdownimmediately.

 Thedisplaywillshowtheremainingtimeandthetimer

 indicatorashesfor5seconds.

Note:Thereddotnexttopowerlevelindicatorwillilluminate

indicatingthatthezoneisselected.

5.Whencookingtimerexpires,thecorrespondingcookingzone

 willbeswitchedoffautomatically.

Note:Ifyouwanttochangethetimeafterthetimerisset,

youhavetostartfromstep1.

Cooking guidelines-

Takecarewhenfryingastheoilandfatheatupveryquickly,particularlyifyou’reusing

powerboost.Atextremelyhightemperaturesoilandfatwillignitespontaneouslyandthis

presentsaseriousrerisk.

Cooking tips-

• Whenfoodcomestotheboil,reducethetemperaturesetting.

• Usingalidwillreducecookingtimesandsaveenergybyretainingtheheat

• Minimisetheamountofliquidorfattoreducecookingtimes

• Startcookingonahighsettingandreducethesettingwhenthefoodhasheatedthrough.

Simmering, cooking rice-

• Simmeringoccursbelowboilingpoint,ataround85°C,whenbubblesarejustrising

 occasionallytothesurfaceofthecookingliquid.Itisthekeytodelicioussoupsandtender

 stewsbecausetheavoursdevelopwithoutovercookingthefood.Youshouldalsocook

 egg-basedandourthickenedsaucesbelowboilingpoint.

• Sometasks,includingcookingricebytheabsorptionmethod,mayrequireasettinghigher

 thanthelowestsettingtoensurethefoodiscookedproperlyinthetimerecommended.

Searing steak-

To cook juicy avoursome steaks:

1.Standthemeatatroomtemperatureforabout20minutesbeforecooking

2.Heatupaheavy-basedfryingpan

3.Brushbothsidesifthesteakwithoil.Drizzleasmallamountofoilintothehotpanand

 thenlowerthemeatontoit.

4.Turnthesteakonlyoneduringcooking.Theexactcookingtimewilldependonthethickness

 ofthesteakandhowcookedyouwantit.Timesmayvaryfromabout2-8minutesperside.

 Pressthesteaktogaugehowcookeditis-thermeritfeelsthemore‘welldone’itwillbe.

5.Leavethesteaktorestonawarmplateforafewminutestoallowittorelaxandbecome

 tenderbeforeserving.

For stir-frying-

1.Chooseaceramiccompatibleat-basedwokoralargefryingpan.

2.Havealltheingredientsandequipmentready.Stir-fryingshouldbequick.Ifcookinginlarge

 quantities,cookthefoodinseveralsmallerbatches.

3.Preheatthepanbrieyandadd2tablespoonsofoil.

4.Cookanymeatrst,putitasideandkeepwarm

5.Stir-frythevegetables.Whentheyarehotbutstillcrisp,turnthecookingzonetoalower

 setting,returnthemeattothepanandaddyoursauce.

6.Stirtheingredientsgentlytomakesuretheyareheatedthrough.

7.Serveimmediately
