If you will be transporting your T-Jet 3 from one location to another, or if you will
be shipping it to Equipment Zoe for repair, it is important thatyou follow the steps
outlined below. Failure to do so culd not only cause serious damage to your T-Jet 3
but may also void your warranty. The preparation process should only take about
10 minutes and if you have any questions regarding any of the steps, please contact
our Support Department.
Installing the Fast T-Jet 3 Cleaning Cartridges
Every Fast T-Jet 3 is shipped with 16 Ink Line Caps. All 16 Ink Line Caps will be
used when exchanging the Bulk Ink system for Cleaning Cartridges. Therefore it is
important to store them in a safe location when they are not being used.
Press the1. Ink button to release
the Print Carriage from
the Capping Station. Then
manually move the Print
Carriage to the center of the
Print Bed.
Engage ink line clamps for each ink line and then, one at a time, remove ink2.
lines from the Bulk Ink cartridges and cap with ink line caps (included).
Use the Cartridge Removal Tool and insert it into a cartridge, turn it 90º and3.
pull the cartridge out. Repeat this process for all eight cartridges. Upon

removal, store the Bulk Ink Cartridges in a cool, dark environment.
When each ink cartridge is removed, we recommend that the
bottom of the ink cartridge be taped and placed in an individual
plastic zip lock bag, upside down. This will prevent ink leaking out.

5. Make sure the ink lines are aligned the Ink Line
Guide for proper storage. By design, they rest on
topoftherellablecleaningcartridges.

6. Before running a head cleaning make sure that the bottom rubber plugs are
removed.Runseveralheadcleaningsinordertoushinkfromtheinklines.
PerformasmanyHeadCleaningcyclesasnecessaryuntiltheliquidowing
into the Waste Ink in Clear.
Note: If the rubber plugs are not removed during a Head Cleaning, damage will
be caused to the Print Head.
DO NOT RUN A NOZZLE CHECK WITH CLEANING CARTRIDGES
INSTALLED. Cleaning solutionPD\ leak out into your Fast T-Jet,
causing serious damage.
7. Replacerubbercapsontherellablecleaningcartridges.
8. Power OFF the printer. You MUST follow the proper shutdown sequence as
detailed in your User’s Manual. The Print Head MUST lock with the Capping
Station or it may be damaged during transit. Any damage to the Print Head or
Capping Station will be your responsibility.
Securing the Print Bed
Move the print bed to the middle of its1.
track. Using a Phillips head screwdriver,
install the bed brackets and tighten all
four corners.
Place the Waste Ink Bottle in an upright position within the Print Bed and2.
secure it to the T-Jet 3 with a piece of adhesive packing tape.
Place a piece of tape across the bulk ink bottles3.
and adjustable shelf bracket to secure in place.

Place a small piece of tape over the breather4.
holes on the ink bottles.
You will be shipping the printer via a freight carrier, you must
completely disconnect and remove all Bulk Ink Bottles and the
Waste Ink Bottle. You will not ship these items.
5. Pack the printer in its original box for transportation.
6. The T-Jet 3 requires 2 people to lift. Make sure
you observe the following holding points.
DO NOT lift your T-Jet 3 by the Print Bed. Lift from underneath the
side panels. Lifting by the Print Bed may cause serious damage.

Please note, the following example does not
contain any loose items that could damage
the printer during shipping.
