IMPORTANT USAGE GUIDELINES
• Requires 3 new AA alkaline batteries (not included).
• Phillips screwdriver required for battery installation.
• TIMIO should not be used by children under 3 years.
• Temperature range for use is between 0°-40°C
CARE
• Keep water, sand and dirt off of TIMIO.
• Keep TIMIO away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
• To clean, wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use
detergents or chemicals.
• Do not drop TIMIO on a hard surface.
• Under no circumstances should TIMIO be broken apart as this
invalidates the warranty. If you are experiencing issues, please
BATTERY INSTALLATION
• Locate the battery compartment door on the back of the
player.
• Ensure the power switch is to the OFF position.
• Loosen the screw in the battery compartment door with a
Phillips screwdriver. Remove the battery compartment door.
• Insert 3 AA alkaline batteries following the polarity (+/-)
specified in the battery compartment. See FIG. 1
Warning: DO NOT REMOVE THE SD CARD from the
battery compartment. TIMIO will not work without the SD
CARD.

• Replace the battery compartment door and tighten the screw.
Do not over-tighten.
• Low battery warning: all LEDs will light up, replace the
batteries.
• When sounds become faint again or stop during use, replace
the batteries.
• Protect the environment by not disposing of this product with
household waste (2002/96/EC). Check your local authority for
recycling advice and facilities (Europe only).
SD CARD
DO NOT REMOVE or tamper with the SD CARD located in the
battery compartment as it will impact the functioning of TIMIO.
When new TIMIO content is released in the future, instructions
regarding the SD CARD will also be provided. See FIG. 2
BATTERY SAFETY INFORMATION
In exceptional circumstances, batteries may leak fluids that can
cause a chemical burn injury or ruin TIMIO. To avoid battery
leakage:
• Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of different
types: alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-
cadmium).
• Insert batteries as indicated inside the battery compartment.
• Remove batteries during long periods of non-use. Always
remove exhausted batteries from TIMIO. Dispose of batteries
safely. Do not dispose of this product in a fire. The batteries
inside may explode or leak.
• Never short-circuit the battery terminals.
• Use only batteries of the same or equivalent type, as
recommended.

• Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
• Remove rechargeable batteries from TIMIO before charging.
• If removable, rechargeable batteries are used, they are only to
be charged under adult supervision.
LET’S PLAY!
• On the back of the player, switch the power button to the ON
position. See FIG. 3
• By default, TIMIO is set to the English language. To select a
different language, place and hold your finger on the globe icon
for 3 seconds. TIMIO will say all the available languages one
by one. Release your finger when you reach your desired
language. See FIG. 4
• There are 3 volume settings: low, medium and high. By
default, TIMIO’s volume is set to medium. To lower the volume,
place your finger on the low-volume icon )and hold for 3
seconds. To increase the volume, place your finger on the high-
volume icon )))and hold for 3 seconds. See FIG. 5
• Place a disc on the front of the player, you will hear the title of
the disc. See FIG. 6
• Then tap an image to play. See FIG. 7
CHALLENGE INCLUDED!
The vocabulary discs also include questions. When no image is
pressed for a period of 3 seconds, the player will automatically
challenge the user with a question. E.g. “Find the color red”.
Answer by tapping the correct image.
POWER OFF
• To stop playing simply remove the disc.

• When no user activity is detected for a period of 2 minutes, the
player goes into sleep mode to save battery power.
• To switch back on, place a disc and tap one of the images for
1 second.
• Always switch the power button to the OFF position to save
battery power.
HEADPHONE SOCKET
• Insert the headphone plug into the socket located at the top of
the player. Always use kids-safe headphones. Check the
volume prior to placing on child’s ears. See FIG. 8
LIMITED HARDWARE WARRANTY
• TIMIO B.V. warrants that its hardware product shall be free
from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12
months beginning from the date of purchase. See
https://timio.co/warranty/ for specific warranty information about
your product and procedure to act on a warranty claim.
• TIMIO B.V.’s entire liability and our exclusive remedy for any
breach of warranty shall be at TIMIO B.V.’s option, to repair or
replace the product, or to refund the price paid, provided that
the hardware is returned to the point of purchase or such other
place as required by law along with a receipt.

PAUTAS DE USO IMPORTANTES
• Requiere 3 baterías alcalinas AA nuevas (no incluidas).
• Se requiere un destornillador Phillips (punta de cruz) para la
instalación de la batería.
• TIMIO no debe ser usado por niños menores de 3 años.
• Rango de temperatura de uso entre 0°-40°C
MANTENIMIENTO
• Mantenga el agua, la arena y la suciedad fuera de TIMIO.
• Mantenga TIMIO alejado de la luz solar directa y del calor
excesivo.
• Para limpiarlo, límpielo con un paño suave y ligeramente
humedecido. No utilice detergentes ni productos químicos.
• No deje caer TIMIO sobre una superficie dura.
• Bajo ninguna circunstancia debe romperse TIMIO, ya que

INSTALACIÓN DE LAS BATERÍAS
• Localice la puerta del compartimento de las baterías en la
parte posterior del reproductor.

Advertencia: NO QUITE LA TARJETA SD del

• Advertencia de batería baja: todas las luces LED se
iluminarán. Sustituye las baterías.
• Cuando los sonidos se debilitan de nuevo o se detienen
durante el uso, sustituye las baterías.
• Proteja el medio ambiente no desechando este producto con
la basura doméstica (2002/96/EC). Consulte a su autoridad

TARJETA SD
NO QUITE ni altere la TARJETA SD que se encuentra en el
compartimiento de la batería, ya que esto afectará el
funcionamiento de TIMIO. Cuando se publique un nuevo
contenido de TIMIO en el futuro, también se proporcionarán
instrucciones sobre la TARJETA SD. Ver FIG. 2
INFORMACIÓN SOBRE LA SEGURIDAD DE LA BATERÍA
En circunstancias excepcionales, las baterías pueden filtrar
fluidos que pueden causar lesiones por quemaduras químicas
o arruinar a TIMIO. Para evitar fugas en las baterías:
• No mezcle baterías viejas y nuevas ni baterías de diferentes
tipos: alcalinas, estándar (carbono-zinc) o recargables (níquel-
cadmio).
• Inserte las baterías como se indica en el interior del
compartimento de las baterías.
• Retire las baterías durante períodos prolongados de
inactividad. Retire siempre las baterías agotadas de TIMIO.
Deseche las baterías de forma segura. No arroje este producto

al fuego. Las baterías del interior pueden explotar o tener
fugas.
• Nunca provoque un cortocircuito en los terminales de la
batería.
• Utilice únicamente baterías del mismo tipo o de tipo
equivalente, tal como se recomienda.
• No cargue baterías no recargables.
• Retire las baterías recargables de TIMIO antes de cargarlas.
• Si se utilizan baterías recargables extraíbles, sólo deben
cargarse bajo la supervisión de un adulto.
¡JUGUEMOS!
• En la parte posterior del reproductor, coloque el botón de
encendido en la posición ON. Ver FIG. 3
• Por defecto, TIMIO está configurado en el idioma inglés. Para
seleccionar otro idioma, mantenga el dedo sobre el icono del
globo terráqueo durante 3 segundos. TIMIO dirá todos los
idiomas disponibles uno por uno. Suelte el dedo cuando llegue
al idioma deseado. Ver FIG. 4
• Hay 3 ajustes de volumen: bajo, medio y alto. Por defecto, el
volumen de TIMIO está ajustado a medio. Para bajar el
volumen, coloque el dedo en el icono de bajo volumen )y
manténgalo pulsado durante 3 segundos. Para aumentar el
volumen, coloque el dedo en el icono de volumen alto )))y
manténgalo pulsado durante 3 segundos. Ver FIG. 5
• Coloque un disco en la parte frontal del reproductor y
escuchará el título del disco. Ver FIG. 6
• A continuación, toque una imagen para reproducir. Ver FIG. 7
¡DESAFÍO INCLUIDO!
Los discos de vocabulario también incluyen preguntas. Cuando
no se pulsa ninguna imagen durante un período de 3
segundos, el reproductor desafiará automáticamente al usuario

con una pregunta. Por ejemplo, "Encuentra el color rojo".
Responda tocando la imagen correcta.
APAGADO
• Para detener la reproducción, simplemente retire el disco.
• Cuando no se detecta ninguna actividad del usuario durante
un período de 2 minutos, el reproductor pasa al modo de
reposo para ahorrar energía de la batería.
• Para volver a encenderlo, coloque un disco y toque una de las
imágenes durante 1 segundo.
• Siempre coloque el botón de encendido en la posición OFF
para ahorrar energía de la batería.
CONECTOR DE AURICULARES
• Inserte el enchufe de los auriculares en la toma situada en la
parte superior del reproductor. Siempre use audífonos seguros
para niños. Compruebe el volumen antes de colocarlo en los
oídos del niño. Ver FIG. 8

• TIMIO B.V. garantiza que su producto de hardware estará
libre de defectos de materiales y mano de obra durante un
período de 12 meses a partir de la fecha de compra. Consulte
