orotherresidentialbuildingswithhighsizeofapartmentsdueto
enormoustimeandcostsavings.Assembledaccordingtocustomer
specicationstheComfortPortsaredeliveredready-to-installtothe
buildingsite.Reductionofinstallationtime,pre-wiredactuatorsand
controlunits,ormarkingofloopsareonlyfewoftheadvantagesof
preassemblinginUponorfactorywhichavoidssignicantlyinstallation
errors on site.

Theconventionalassemblyofindividualcomponentsonthe
constructionsiterequirestime,whichisofteninsufcientinhectic
constructionsiteoperation.Especiallynotifyouonlyrealizeonsite
thaturgentlyneededcomponentsaremissing.
Thebetter,ifyoucansavevaluableworkingtimebyinstallingpre-
fabricatedmodules.IntheUponorComfortPorts,therefore,allthe
componentsrequiredforthehydraulicconnectionandforconnection
totheroomtemperaturecontrolofaUponorunderoorheating
systemarealreadyintegratedinthestabledistributionboxreadyfor
connection.Dependingontheconguration,evencompletelywired
pumpgroupsforconnectiontoaheatgeneratorwithoutownow
temperaturecontrolarefactory-installedintheUponorComfortPorts.
Avoidassemblyerrorsontheconstructionsite
Nobodyisperfect.Justundertimepressurehappenonaconstruction
sitesometimeserrors.Factoryassemblyandwiringofthecontrol
componentsintheUponorComfortPortsvirtuallyeliminatesthe
likelihoodofsomethinggoingwrongonthejobsite.Allactuatorsare
assignedtotherespectiveheatingzones,labeledandplacedonthe
controlterminalblock.Afactorypre-settingofthehydraulicbalancing
aswellasthefunctiontestoftheactuatorsensurethedefect-free
assemblyprogress.Fortheelectricalconnection,onlyonepower
supplycablemustbeconnectedtothefactory-integratedsafety
socket.
And for the vertical installation of Comfort Ports, not even a spirit level
isnecessary,becauseitisalreadyintegratedintheports.

ComfortPort,whichisneededfortherespectiveconstructionproject,
isputtogether.Theconvenientqueryandorderprocessensures
thatnocongurationparametersareforgotten.Thedeliveryofthe
preassembledUponorComfortPortsisthencarriedoutwiththe
appropriateassignmentmarkinginprotectivepackagingsuitablefor
theconstructionsite,ifdesireddirectlytotheconstructionsite.

1.6 Components
Depending on the conguration, the Uponor Comfort ports can be
equipped with the following components.
Cabinets
In-wall or on-wall cabinets made of sendzimir galvanized sheet steel,
surface-mounted with 140 mm depth and ush-mounted with 80 and
110 mm depth. Optionally with metal or plastic door.
Manifolds
Optionally with stainless steel or plastic manifold, with 230 V or 24 V
actuators.
Uponor Smatrix control units
Control components for room temperature control, optionally via radio
(Smatrix Wave) or wired (Smatrix Base or Flexiboard).
Please consider: thermostats, remote controls or Smart Home
modules are not a part of Comfort Port delivery. Please use the
relevant Uponor Technical Informations to nd the right thermostats
or get detailed descriptions.

The pre-assembled Comfort Ports can be fast and easy compliant
withtheUponoronlineconguratoraccordingtocustomer
requirements.
OntheUponorHomepageyouwillbeguidedthroughtheentiresteps
untilallparametersareinplace.Finallytheorderingprocesswillbe
startedbyautomaticcontacttoUponorSalesofce.
Inparalleltheproductionandsubsequentdeliverytotheconstruction
sitewillbeprepared.
Theresultoftheselectionisthetendertextaswellasa
manufacturingcodewhichdescribesthespecicconstructionofeach
ComfortPortdistributioncabinet.
Thiscodeservesasidenticationforyourorder.Thenthecustomized
ComfortPortcanbemanufacturedinaveryshorttime:Deliverytime
“pleasecountryspecicdeliverytime”.

Installation Comfort Port

The Uponor Comfort Port is delivered pre-assembled ready for
connectiontotheconstructionsite.Thereitcanbeuseddirectlyin
theon-sitewallniche.
Belowaresomebasicstepsbrieydescribed.Detailedassembly
andoperatinginstructionsforthecomponentsyouwillndineach
ComfortPortpackaging.
Thecomfortportsarealreadyquippedwithtwospiritlevelsbuiltinto
thecabinetsforeasylevelingwithoutadditionaltoolsforhorizontal
and vertical leveling.
1.ThepreassembledUponorComfortPortsareusedtodistributethe
heatingwaterintotheheatingcircuitsofaoorheatingsystem.
Uponorstainlesssteeldistributorsmaynotbeusedindrinkingwater
systems or sanitary installations.
Themanufacturerisnotliableforanydamageresultingfrom
improperuseoftheUponorComfortPorts.
2.Checkthestationsforcompletenesspriortoinstallation;anyloose
orloosenedscrewsduetotransportshouldberetightened.
3.ConversionormodicationtotheUponorComfortPortsisonly
permitteduponagreementwithUponor.
4.NeverremoveanypartoftheUponorManifoldorotherhydraulic
componentswhenthesystemisunderpressure.Seriousinjuriescould
betheresult.
5.Requiredelectricalconnections,workforinstallation,
commissioningandmaintenancemustonlybecarriedoutbyqualied
specialist personnel.
6.Theheatingsystemmustbeplannedandconstructedaccordingto
therecognizedrulesoftechnologyaswellascurrentDINstandards
andVDIguidelines.Theapplicableandcomparablecountry-specic
regulationsorstandardsmustbeobserved.
7.TheheatingwaterusedmustcomplywiththerequirementsofVDI
2035.Inthecaseofwarrantyclaims,awateranalysisismandatory.
8.Inordertoensurethehydraulicfunctionoftheindividualheating
circuitsortheentireunderoorheatingsystem,theindividualheating
circuitsmustbehydraulicallyregulated.
9.Priortoanyworkonthecontrolmoduleorthecomponents
connectedtoit,thecontrolmodulemustbeswitchedtovoltage-free
accordingtotheregulations.
10. Formountingandhydraulicandelectricalconnectionofthe
Uponor Comfort Ports, please refer to the enclosed installation and
operatinginstructions.DamagecausedtotheUponorComfortPorts
ortheheatingsystemorthebuildingasaresultofaninfringement
willvoidourwarranty.
11.Properlyinstructtheuserofthesystemintheoperationofthe
systemandhandoverthistechnicalinformationtogetherwiththe
inventorydocuments.
