⚫Unpack the equipment carefully and save the original box and packing material for
possible future shipment.

1 Introduction
1.1 Product Introduction
The UH-4U-8K is an auto switcher with four HDMI video inputs and one HDMI output.
This switcher supports HDMI video resolution up to 8K@60Hz 4:2:0 HDR+ and High
Definition audio.
Except passing EDID information from the display, there are multiple built-in EDID
settings to simplify an installation. The switcher will de-embed digital stereo audio to
provide an analog audio source for an existing audio system. The switcher also
supports enhanced audio return channel (eARC) for transmitting audio back to HDMI
input port from the connected display.
In auto-switch mode, it switches to an HDMI input as soon as a new source is
connected. When the active input is removed, the switcher will select the first source on
the lowest numbered input. The switcher may also be controlled via RS232, IR with the
included remote, or from the source button on the front of the switcher.
1.2 Features

⚫Supports video resolution up to 8K@60Hz 4:2:0, Dolby Vision, HDR.
⚫40Gbps high bandwidth.
⚫Fully compliant with the HDMI 2.1 and HDCP2.3 specifications.
⚫Supports enhanced audio return channel (eARC).
⚫Advanced EDID management: multiple preset and user defined allowed.
⚫Controllable via front panel buttons, RS232 and IR.
⚫Supports CEC.
⚫Provides seven LEDs to indicate the current operating status and to assist
troubleshooting an installation.
⚫Firmware upgrade by Micro-USB port.

2.1 Front Panel

①POWER LED: The LED illuminates green when power is applied.
②AUDIO LED: Illuminates blue when de-embedding audio
③INPUT 1~4 LEDs: The LED illuminates green when there is HDMI input on the
corresponding channel.
④AUTO LED: Illuminates blue when auto switching mode.
⑤Switch AUTO/3s Button:
•Press to switch to next input source.
•Press and hold at least three seconds to switch between manual mode and auto
mode.
⑥EDID: 4-pin DIP switch for EDID setting.
Please refer to 7 EDID Management for more details.
⑦FW: Micro-USB port for firmware upgrade.

①IN 1~4: Four type-A female HDMI input ports to connect HDMI sources.
The input 4 port supports eARC.
②OUT: Type-A female HDMI output port to connect HDMI display.
③AUDIO: 3.5mm mini jack for analog audio output.
④IR IN: 3.5mm mini jack to connect the included IR receiver for remote control.
⑤RS232: 3-pin terminal block to connect control device (e.g. PC or TF8).
⑥DC 12V: DC barrel port to connect an AC power adapter.
Notes:
•Output HDCP compliant status depends on input signal.
When the input signal is with HDCP, then output signal is with HDCP and vice
versa.

3 System Connection
3.1 Usage Precautions
1) Make sure all components and accessories included before installation.
2) System should be installed in a clean environment and has a prop temperature and
humidity.
3) All of the power switches, plugs, sockets and power cords should be insulated and
safe.
4) All devices should be connected before power on.
3.2 System Diagram UH-4U-8K
The following diagram illustrates the typical input and output connection that can be
utilized with 8K60 UHD 4x1 HDMI2.1 Switcher UH-4U-8K:

Note: When the 1-4 channel is switched to any one and an active signal is
detected, the ARC of the 4th channel can work normally.
When no source signal is detected on any one channel, the output 5V is turned off,
and the ARC cannot work at the same time.
