Until the attachment lock pins are fully in the locked position, the attachment has not
been safely secured to the machine. Do not stand near the attachment until it is fully
secured to the machine.
Position the attachment on a level surface.
NOTICE: Clean the lower edge of the female attachment mounting plate to remove any
debris that might interfere with the attachment installation.
Start the machine engine, lower the loader arm and tilt the mounting plate forwards.
NOTICE: Make sure that both of the attachment lock pins are in the Unlocked Position
Slowly drive towards the attachment and align the top edge of the male mounting plate
and the upper lip of the female attachment mounting plate.
NOTICE: Make sure to position the attachments hydraulic hoses so that they are not
damaged during the installation process. Tuck the upper edge of the male mounting plate
on the mini skid steer into the upper lip of the female receiver mounting plate.

4. When the top edge the machine’s receiving plate is seated in the receiver mounting plate
on the MC450, curl the machine’s mounting plate backwards while raising the arms of the
mini skid steer to allow the lower edge of the machine’s mounting plate to slide into
position.
5. Shut the engine off.
6. Check to see that the pins into are locked into position securing the attachment to the
machine.
7. Start the engine and raise the attachment off the ground. Visually inspect the bottom edge
of the attachment’s mounting plate to make sure that both of the attachment lock pins are
securely holding the attachment in position. If the pins are not engaged shift the unit Left
or Right until the pins drop into the locked position. Lower MC450 to the ground and turn
off the mini skid steer.
8. Ensure that the attachment is not lifted beyond the maximum reach of the unit's loader
arms

pressure at hydraulic couplers.
2. Remove dirt and debris from
hydraulic couplers.
3. Connect male coupler on attach-
ment to female coupler (3) on unit.
4. Connect female coupler on
attachment to male coupler (1) on
unit.

Pressurized fluid or air could pierce skin and cause severe injury. Refer to
operator’s manual for proper use.
To help avoid injury:
• Escaping pressurized fluid can cause injury or pierce skin.
• Before disconnecting a hydraulic line, turn engine off and operate all controls to relieve
pressure. Lower, block, or support any raised component with a hoist. Cover connection
with heavy cloth and loosen connector nut slightly to relieve residual pressure. Catch all
fluid in a container.
• Before using system, check that all connections are tight and all lines are undamaged.
• Use a piece of cardboard or wood, rather than hands, to search for leaks.
• Wear protective clothing, including gloves and eye protection.
• If you are injured, seek immediate medical attention from a doctor familiar with this type of
injury.
Hot parts may cause burns. Do not touch until cool.
To help to avoid injury:
Wear gloves when connecting and disconnecting hydraulic hoses and
wait until unit has cooled before touching hydraulic components.
**If you unable to connect the tank line hose you may need to release the pressur in the hose. Lossen the
fitting to allow oil to escape and then re-tighten the fitting. (1¼ wrenches will be needed)

Attachment 12 volt connection
Auxiliary 12 volt outlet
Plug in 12 volt line to Auxiliary Outlet (If Equipped) or wire 12 volt line directly to the
battery. (15 Amp in line fuse is recommended for this application) Consult the operators
manual from the mini skid steer for location of this receptacle.
Overview

• Make sure that you are standing on the operator's platform.
• DO NOT step off of the platform when the auxiliary attachment's power is
engaged.
• If you release the AUXILIARY hand control/operator presence control, the
attachment will automatically stop all motion but the engine will continue to run.
CAUTION
3. Using the Lift Arm Controls (5) tilt the MC450 back and raise the MC450 off the ground before moving
the unit. Using the Drive Controls (1 or 2) position the MC450 core drum over the desired location.
4. Using Lift Arm controls (5), tilt the MTC-100 back, lower the MC450 until the rear pads
make contact with the paved surface, continue to lower the MC450 until the front of the
tracks on the mini skid steer unit are slightly elivated, transfering some of the weight of the
mini skid steer to the coring unit. Using the Tilt Control Lever lower the front of the unit so
all four feet are in contact with the paved surface.

5. Engage the parking brake Switch (3) If equipped.
6. Throttle the mini skid steer unit to High RPM (3000 RPM) and high flow if equiped.
7. Refer to power unit operator's manual for operation and engagement of auxiliary hydraulic control and
detent.
8. The hydraulics can only flow in one direction and the system is protected with a one way valve.
9. Ensure drum is clear of obstacles and is free to rotate before engaging the hydraulic controls."
10 . To verify that the oil is flowing in the right direction move the Drum Speed Lever up and to the right.
If the Core drum begins to turn the oil is flowing in the right direction. If the drum does not turn,
reverse the flow from the powering unit.
11. Increase the Core Drum Speed to as per chart below.
8 inch Diameter Core Drum 250 to 270 RPM
10 inch Diameter Core Drum 230 to 250 RPM
12 inch Diameter Core Drum 210 to 230 RPM
