USER MANUAL
The digital switch Tempo is an electronic device for the management of the electrical utilities over time. It allows the time programming
(periodicity: daily or weekly) or astronomical.
Tempo is a device of electronic type that performs actions of 1B type, intended to operate in environments with III overvoltage category and
pollution degree 2 in accordance with EN 60730-1 standard.

TECHNICAL FEATURES

SAFETY WARNINGS
During product installation and operation it is necessary
to observe the following instructions:
1) The product must be installed by a qualified person,
strictly in observance of the connection diagrams
shown in this manual.
2) After installation inaccessibility to the terminals
without using dedicated tools must be guaranteed.
3) Before accessing the connection terminals, make sure
that the leads are not live.
4) Do not connect or feed the product if any part of it is
damaged.
5) The product must be installed and activated in
compliance with current electric systems standards.
6) Do not use the product for anything other than the
indicated purpose.
7) In the electrical system upstream of the device must be
installed a protection device against the overcurrents
8) The product can be used in environments with
Measurement Category III and Pollution degree 2,
according to the Standard EN 60730-1

INSTALLATION TEMPO (cod. VE787500)

with plates different from those shown, contact
the Technical Assistance Service.

Mount the white or anthracite grey frame according to your
preferences by hooking it to the special teeth on the device.
Mount the appropriate adapter for the supplied plate
Make connections respecting the diagram shown on page 4
in this user manual
Insert the device into the adapter

INSTALLATION TEMPO-INT (cod. VE787501)
The device can be adapted to the cover plates of Berker, Busch-Jaeger, Gira, Jung and Merten.
The complete list of compatible cover plates is available on the website www.vemer.it on the product page.
Connect the load and power supply (see connection diagram).
Fasten the device with the metal frame to the flush-mounting box
Apply the cover plate and the 50x50mm intermediate panel
Finally insert the closing frame

Manual relay switchings
• Key “”: ON/OFF manual relay switching.
In this case the indication of the display status flashes.
This condition persists until the achievement of the
subsequent programmed switching.
• Key “”(3 sec): blocking (or unblocking) of relay
switchings. When the switchings are blocked, the display
shows the symbol on.
• Key “”+ “”(3 sec): activation (or deactivation)
of random relay switching.
When the random switchings are active, the display
shows the symbol on.

INITIAL OPERATION
• Power the device: the fields “date” and “time” flash on
the display. Press any key to activate the menu for entering
the values.
• Use the keys and to select the correct value and
the key to confirm and pass to the next parameter.
The insertion sequence is: day-month-year-hours-minutes
• The language set is Italian. To change it, press the key
for at least 3 seconds until the display shows the modify menu.
5 languages are available: Italian, English, Spanish, French
and German. The other factory settings are shown in the table
on the right.
Date format: DD/MM/YY, Monday first day of the week
Astronomical coordinates: Agrigento (Italy)
Daylight Saving time (DST) change: active
Start of daylight saving time (DST): last Sunday of March
at 02:00 o’clock
End of daylight saving time (DST): last Sunday of October
at 03:00 o’clock
Correction of calculated sunrise and sunset times: 0:00
Time zone: +1:00 UTC
Time between two random switchings:
minimum: 1 minute
massimo: 5 minutes
Keyboard lock with pin: disabled (---)
• From main screen it’s possible to manually acton
the relay output (see page 7) or access the menu to perform
the programming or change the operating settings
