DESCRIPTION

ART.4514V, ART.4514V/F

4000 Series Vandal resistant (front plate in brushed stainless with

2mm thickness) digital call panel for IPure system. This panel is

compatible with the 4000 Series modular system and has the size

of two 4000 Series modules.

Complementing all digital door panels manufactured by Videx is

the ability for all users to have their own unique access code (each

apartment can have more than one access code). The access code

can have up to six digits and is blind to onlookers. Also,integrated

into the panel is a proximity reader enabling a number of proxim-

ity fobs to be stored and used individually or in combination with

the access code to enter the building. In addition to the speaker

unit functions, the panel includes a 128 x 64 pixel graphical LCD

display with blue back light (to provide text and graphical mes-

sages guiding a visitor through the panel operation) plus a keypad

with 18 blue back lit buttons 6 of which are alpha buttons (A..F),

10 are numeric buttons (0..9) plus ENTER and CLEAR buttons. The

tenants can be called by dialling the relevant apartment code.

To complement the visual messages provided from the display,

the panel has the voice annunciation facility to supply audio

messages concerning the system operation. The built-in camera

is a colour CMOS wide angle camera with white light illumination

LED’s (the wide angle camera provides a viewing angle of 170 degrees). Interfaces include a Wiegand output (for systems based on this

interface, not implemented yet) a RS-485 interface for future use.

The memory capacity allows to store up to 10000 users data, up to 10000 access codes, up to 10000 proximity keys. The front panel

nish is brushed stainless steel while the frame nishes are the standard oered in the 4000 Series.

As Art.4514V but using a keypad with 15 blue back lit buttons 3 of which are navigation buttons used for the repertory name facility,

10 are numeric buttons (0..9) plus ENTER and CLEAR buttons. The tenants can be called by dialling the relevant apartment number or

by searching the relevant name using the repertory name function.

ENABLE BOOTLOADER MODE

In case of rmware update failure (i.e. because of mains failure or cable disconnection

during the update etc.) and the door panel no longer recognised by the Videx IPure Wiz-

ard software, you can try to restore it by manually putting it into boot mode.

It is strongly recommended that this operation is carried out by a qualied engineer and

in any case after a contact with Videx support.

• Disconnect the door panel from the power supply.

• Press and keep pressed the

button (Fig. 2 on page 1) then connect again the

power supply source.

• The door panel goes into boot mode and the display shows the message "FIRMWARE

UPDATE MODE" (Fig. 3).

• Now proceed using the utility“VidexFirmwareUpdater.exe” to upload the rmware to the device.

• If the update process terminates correctly, the device should be restored and ready to work.

• If the device still does not work, please contact the supplier to proceed according to the warranty terms.

OPERATION

STANDBY MODE

The display show the HOME1 page. HOME1 (shown in Fig. 4)is composed by 2 lines:

• rst line contains date, time and symbol. Date and time have the format specied

by date format and clock format;

• second line show the label "Enter Flat No";

Press the “0” button the enter the coded access mode.

Press or (only for 15 button panels) to scroll through the users. (see "Scrolling

users" on pag. 3).

Use the numeric keypad followed by enter to call an apartment .

Passing a valid and enabled card/fob in front of symbol will open the door.

HOW TO INSERT A CODE

From stand-by mode, pressing “0” will enter the code mode (see Fig. 5).

Every entered digit is displayed as a dot. will conrm the code.

The following codes can be entered:

• a valid Access code , the door will be open, or “NOT FOUND!” message will appear.

To delete digits or exit page press .

HOW TO CALL AN APARTMENT

From stand-by mode, enter a at number (see Fig. 6).

Each digit will be displayed. Pushing will conrm the at number.

If at number is present in memory and user is enabled then a call request is made, or

“NOT FOUND!” message will appear.

To delete digits or exit page press .

SCROLLING USERS

From stand-by mode, pressing or will begin scrolling. The highlighted central line

is the selected user: pressing or will make a call request.

For 15 button panel version scrolling is made using or .

HOW TO MAKE A CALL

A call request can be made by either scrolling

the user name or entering the at number.

When a call is in progress the panel will show

“Calling”as in Fig. 7.

The “CALLING” message alternates with at

number (if user has made a call by typing num-

ber) or name (if the scroll was used).

If the call is answered a conversation can begin.

If the call is answered the display will be as per Fig. 8. The conversation timeout is programmable.

When the door is released, the animation appears on the screen.

To delete a call request or close a converastion press . The panel will show the “CALL END” message.

HOW TO CONNECT AN ELECTRIC LOCK

The“door-open” relay can operate either as“capacitive discharge” or “dry contact” mode.

• In “capacitive discharge” operation mode the relay’s contacts, when active, supply directly the lock (12Vac/dc 1A max) for a

moment. You don’t need a power supply for the lock and the door opening time programmed do not aect the activation time.

• In “dry contact” operation mode the relay works in a traditional way, a power supply or a power source is needed to operate the

lock (12-24Vac/dc 2A max), and activation lasts according to the door opening time programmed.

* NOTE: in “capacitive discharge” modality (electric lock 12Vac/dc 1A max) the relay time cannot be more than 6 sec-

onds because it could overhead the device.

A possibile deterioration of the mechanical performance of the electric lock, might cause the “capacitive discharge”to malfunction

in time. In case the electric lock is used in very dusty environments or in an abnormal climate condition, we suggest to use the“open

door”relay in“dry contacts”mode.

• Please note that OPENING THE MODULE WILL INVALIDATE THE WARRANTY. In addition, any dust ingress could

INTERNAL WEB SERVER

The device has an internal web server accessible via a web browser that allows you to change certain device settings without using

the IPure Wizard software.

ENABLE/DISABLE WEB SERVER

To enable or disable the web server, tick or untick the Enable

HTTP Server checkbox in the HTTP section of the IPure Wizard

software.

If you want to restrict the access to the web server enable

Authentication by ticking the correspondent checkbox.

Once enabled, the default username is“admin”and de-

fault password is“password”.

FIRST ACCESS

1.Open a browser and enter the complete IP address of the

device in the address bar:

2.Insert the default credentials (if you previously enabled Au-

thentication on the IPure Wizard software):

3.Click/tap Login

• To nd the device IP address use the IPure Wizard software.

• httpsprotocol is not supported.

Note: The external camera stream will only be visible on

Art.6798, on the Cloudnected app and third-party SIP clients.

Art.6296 and Art.6398 will continue to display the internal

camera stream even when the external camera is selected.

To be displayed on Art.6798 the video stream must have the

following characteristics: 1280x720px resolution, H264 codec,

2.5mbit/s maximum bandwidth.

Levels

Allows you to adjust:

Reassurance Tone 3 levels

Its the reassurance tone emitted during

a call that conrms the call in progress

Microphone 3 levels

Loudspeaker 3 levels

Other

Allows you to enable or disable the Noise Attenuation.

It is useful for those outdoor environments that are particularly noisy.

Voice annunciation

Allows you to enable or disable Voice Annunciation.

The loudspeaker, during operation, will emit voice messages

during the progress of a call. You can also choose the language

and type of message for relays 1 and 2.

Keep alive settings

This section species in which way the device checks the net-

work connection.

We suggest to avoid editing these settings unless you

have a specic requirement.

Click Save changes at the end to save the settings.

APARTMENTS

This section show the list of apartments in the sys-

tem. In addition you can add a new one, edit or

delete it.

For each apartment the following information is

shown:

ID Its the apartment number

Name Its the name of the apartment

(I.e.“Apartment 1”,“Apartment 2”etc.)

Enabled Shows if the call to apartment is en-

abled or disabled

SIP device

to call

Shows the extension number or the IP

of the SIP device which will be called

Add a new apartment

You can create a new apartment that can call a SIP

extension.

1.Click the Add new button.

2.Fill the Apartment ID, Name and Select Enabled.

3.Click the Save changes to save or Close to close without saving the changes.

Edit or delete an existing apartment

1.Click the button of the corresponding apartment you want

to edit.

2.In the pop-up window that appears, edit the elds you want

and click Save changes to save or Close to close with-

out saving the changes.

3.From the Apartment list, click the button of the correspond-

ing apartment you want to delete.

Reset table

Click the Reset Table button to delete all the apartments.

Export apartment list as PDF

ACCESS CONTROL

This section allows you to create users and associ-

ate access codes and RFID keys to use with access

control modules and outdoor stations.

Create a new user

1.On the User tab, click the Add new button:

a pop-up window will appear.

2.Fill the User Name and Enabled elds.

3.Click Save changes to save or Close to

close without saving the changes.

Edit or delete an existing user

1.Click the button of the corresponding user

you want to edit.

2.In the pop-up window that appears, edit the

elds you want and click Save changes to

save or Close to close without saving the

changes.

3.From the Users list, click the button of the corresponding apartment you want to delete.

Autoll From Apt

Click the Autoll From Apt button if you want to automatically ll the users list with all apartments.

Empty Table

Click the Empty Table button and then conrm if you want to delete all the users.

Assign an access code to a user

1.On the Access Codes tab, click the Add new button: a

pop-up window will appear.

2.On the Select User menu, select one of the user previously

created to assign an acces code.

3.On the Access Code eld, enter a 4 or 6 digit code:

i.e. 9876 or 123456.

4.On the Select Action menu, select the output you want to

activate with the code: i.e. Open door relay etc.

5.On the Select Enabled menu, chose Yes to enable the code.

6.On the Enable Readers check boxes, check all the access

control modules present in the system that you want to ena-

ble for that user with that code.

7.Click Save changes to save or Close to close without

saving the changes.

1.Click the button of the corresponding access code you

want to edit.

2.In the pop-up window that appears, edit the elds you want

Assign an RFID key to an user

1.On the RFID Keys tab, click the Add new button: a pop-

up window will appear.

2.On the Select User menu, select one of the users previously

created that you want to assign a tag.

3.On the Site Code eld, enter the rst 3 digits of the tag code.

4.On the User Code eld, enter the last 5 digits of the tag code.

5.On the Select Action menu, select the output you want to

activate with the key: i.e. Open door relay etc.

6.On the Select Enabled menu, choose Yes to enable the key.

7.On the Enable Readers check boxes, check all the access

control modules present in the system that you want to ena-

ble for that user with that key.

8.Click Save changes to save or Close to close without

saving the changes.

1.Click the button of the corresponding RFID key you want

to edit.

2.In the pop-up window that appears, edit the elds you want

and click Save changes to save or Close to close with-

out saving the changes.

3.From the RFID key list, click the button of the correspond-

ing RFID key you want to delete.

• The maximum number of access control module including digital codelocks Art.4903 and RFID readers Art.4850R allowed is 8.

• First check box (0) is always the Art.4514 embedded codelock or RFID reader.

• Check boxes from 1to 8are Art.4903 or 4850R modules (if present in the system).

1.On the Wiegand tab, tick the Enabled check box to enable Wiegand output: now all codes or RFID key entered on Art.4514 are

managed by external third party access control, all settings on Users, Access Codes and RFID Keys tabs are ignored.

2.Untick the Enabled check box to disable Wiegand output.
