and material losses.
Safety instructions explained
Danger
This symbol warns against the
risk of injury.
!Please note
This symbol warns against the
risk of material losses and envi-
ronmental pollution.
Note
Details identified by the word "Note"
contain additional information.
Target group
These instructions are exclusively
intended for qualified contractors.
■ Work on electrical equipment may
only be carried out by a qualified
electrician.
Regulations to be observed
■ National installation regulations
■ Statutory regulations for the preven-
tion of accidents
■ Statutory regulations for environmen-
tal protection
■ Codes of practice of the relevant
trade associations
■ Relevant country-specific safety reg-
ulations

2
Working on the system
■ Isolate the system from the power
supply, e.g. by removing the separate
fuse or by means of a mains isolator,
and check that it is no longer live.
■ Safeguard the system against recon-
nection.
■ Wear suitable personal protective
equipment when carrying out any
work.
Danger
Hot surfaces and fluids can lead
to burns or scalding.
■ Before maintenance and serv-
ice work, switch off the appli-
ance and let it cool down.
■ Do not touch hot surfaces on
the appliance, fittings or pipe-
work.
!Please note
Electronic assemblies can be
damaged by electrostatic dis-
charge.
Prior to commencing work,
touch earthed objects such as
heating or water pipes to dis-
charge static loads.
Repair work
!Please note
Repairing components that fulfil
a safety function can compro-
mise the safe operation of the
system.
Replace faulty components only
with genuine Viessmann spare
parts.
Disposal of packaging
Please dispose of packaging waste in
line with statutory regulations.

Condensate removal pump V AH-300
Suitable for pumping neutralised con-
densate from condensing boilers, con-
densate from gas condensing boilers
with a pH value >3, clear water and
slightly contaminated DHW.
The condensate removal pump is also
suitable for constant operation.
The condensate removal pump is not
suitable for pumping the following liq-
uids:
■ Non-neutralised condensate from oil
condensing boilers
■ Salt water
■ Water containing chlorine
■ Condensate with textile or paper par-
ticles
■ Aggressive liquids/chemicals
■ Corrosive, flammable, explosive and
gas emitting liquids

Requirements of the installation room
■ Frost protection
■ Protection against chemicals, dyes,
solvents and dust
■ Protection against high radiation tem-
peratures and direct sunlight
■ Sufficiently large, horizontal, level
and load-bearing installation surface
■ Easy accessibility for maintenance
work
■ Available socket 230 V/50 Hz (per-
manent voltage) in the immediate
vicinity. The length of the power cable
is 2 m.
■ Existing sewer connection (min. DN
40). This must allow drainage of min.
18 l/min without obstruction
Note
Choose an installation location that
means the supply and drain hoses are
as short as possible.

ANeutralising system BCondensate lifting system
1. Remove the cover from the con-
tainer and take out the small parts
supplied.
2. Fit supply hose connection (either
DN 20 or DN 25) with a gasket and
nuts.
3. Install the condensate lifting system
in the required location.
4. Route the supply hose to the con-
densate lifting system with a fall.
Secure the hose with hose clips.
Note
Never step on the hose. Protect the
hose against mechanical damage.
5. Route the drain hose into the drain-
age system. Secure the hose with
hose clips.
Note
■ Secure the free end of the drain
hose, because water flows out
under pressure
■ If the drain hose is extended
and/or constricted by hose con-
nectors, this leads to a reduction
in the pump rate/delivery head
6. Close the condensate lifting system
cover.

Note
The level switch and overflow alarm
switch must be fully inserted into the
locking ring fitting, so that they rest
against the locking ring fitting.

Note
If there is no bottom drain, a suitable
alarm facility must be connected to the
potential-free overflow alarm switch.

Note
During commissioning, instruct the sys-
tem user in the operation of the appli-
ance.
1. Insert the power plug.
2. Fill the system with water.
3. Test the function. Visually check for
leaks.
4. Record commissioning on
page 13.
Inspection and maintenance intervals
■Regular inspection can be carried
out by the user or any authorised,
qualified person. Inspection should
initially be carried out at short inter-
vals, then as required, but at least
every 6 months
■Maintenance work must be carried
out regularly subject to the volume
and contamination of the condensate,
but at least once a year. It must be
carried out by an approved heating
contractor or personnel trained by
this approved heating contractor
Inspection
1. Open the condensate lifting system
cover.
2. Check filter basket for contamina-
tion and clean if required.
3. Check that the hoses are secure.
4. Check that the level switch and
overflow alarm switch are posi-
tioned correctly. Both must be fully
inserted into the locking ring fitting,
so that they rest against the locking
ring fitting.
5. Carry out a visual inspection of all
components for damage and leaks.
6. Close the condensate lifting system
cover again.

7. Record inspection on page 13.
Maintenance
01. Disconnect the power plug.
02. Open the condensate lifting system
cover.
03. Flush the feed pump with clean
water to remove any loose sludge.
04. Carry out a visual inspection of the
feed pump and check for damage.
05. Carry out a function check of the
feed pump and check the pump
rate by means of volumetric meas-
uring.
06. In the event of a pump fault or
obstruction of the pump flow, pos-
sibly caused by contamination
inside the pump:
Open pump cover and clean pump.
Then carefully clean the sealing
faces, refit the pump cover cor-
rectly (pressure chamber above
the pressure joint) and secure with
screws.
Note
First screw in the two fixing screws
next to the pressure joint and
tighten, then the ones opposite.
Then screw in and tighten all other
fixing screws.
!Please note
Leaks in the pump cover
lead to reduced output and
may result in damage to the
pump motor.
The cover must be airtight.
The formation of droplets is
permissible.
07. Clean the non-return valve and fil-
ter basket, replace if required.
08. Clean the supply hose, replace if
required.
