Ultra™ Thermometer Accuracy
Ultra™ thermometers are tested at selected test points to be within tighter than normal tolerances to
assist in providing improved accuracy. Other points will not necessarily fall within the same accuracy
as those found at the selected test points, but will be within an accuracy of ±1°C.
Operation
Slide the ON/OFF switch to ON to turn the unit on. Slide the °C/°F switch to °F to display the
temperature in Fahrenheit or °C to display the temperature in Celsius. Insert the stem into the material
to be measured. Slide the ON/OFF switch to OFF to turn the unit off. To conserve battery life, always
turn the unit off when not in use.

All Operational Difficulties
If this unit does not function properly for any reason, replace the battery with a new high-quality
battery (see “Battery Replacement” section). Low battery power can occasionally cause any number
of “apparent” operational difficulties. Replacing the battery with a new fresh battery will solve most
difficulties.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
Erratic readings, a faint display, or no display are all indications that the battery must be replaced. To
replace the battery, remove the battery cap screw. Remove the battery cap by turning it in the
direction of the arrow (counter clockwise). Remove the exhausted battery and replace it with a new
1.5 volt size G-13 battery. Equivalent replacement batteries are: Ray-O-Vac RW42, Duracell D357,
Eveready 357. Make certain that the positive (+) side is facing you. Replace the battery cap.
Replace the battery cap screw and tighten securely.
Equipment disposal
This equipment is marked with the crossed out wheeled bin symbol to indicate that this equipment
must not be disposed of with unsorted waste. Instead it's your responsibility to correctly dispose of
your equipment at lifecycle -end by handling it over to an authorized facility for separate collection
and recycling. It's also your responsibility to decontaminate the equipment in case of biological,
chemical and/or radiological contamination, so as to protect from health hazards the persons involved
in the disposal and recycling of the equipment. For more information about where you can drop off
your waste of equipment, please contact your local dealer from whom you originally purchased this
equipment.

Warranty
VWR warrants that this product will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of
two (2) years from date of delivery. If a defect is present, VWR will, at its option and cost, repair,
replace, or refund the purchase price of this product to the customer, provided it is returned during the
warranty period. This warranty does not apply if the product has been damaged by accident, abuse,
misuse, or misapplication, or from ordinary wear and tear. If the required maintenance and inspection
services are not performed according to the manuals and any local regulations, such warranty turns
invalid, except to the extent, the defect of the product is not due to such non performance.
Items being returned must be insured by the customer against possible damage or loss. This
warranty shall be limited to the aforementioned remedies. IT IS EXPRESSLY AGREED THAT THIS
WARRANTY WILL BE IN LIEU OF ALL WARRANTIES OF FITNESS AND IN LIEU OF THE
WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY.

Precisión del Termómetro Ultra™
Los termómetros Ultra™ son testados en puntos de prueba seleccionados con el fin de ser más
reforzados de las tolerancias normales y de asistir en la obtención de una precisión mejorada. Otros
puntos no cayeran necesariamente en el mismo rango de precisión de los otros rangos encontrados
en los puntos de prueba seleccionados, pero se encontrarán en una precisión de ±1°C.
Funcionamiento
Deslice el interruptor ON/OFF para encender el dispositivo. Deslice el interruptor °C/°F hacia la
posición °F para visualizar la temperatura en Fahrenheit o hacia la posición °C para visualizar la
temperatura en Celsius. Inserte el vástago en la substancia a medir. Deslice el interruptor ON/OFF
hacia la posición OFF para apagar el dispositivo. Para preservar la vida útil de la pila, siempre
apague el dispositivo cuando no está en uso.
Todas las dificultades de funcionamiento
Si este dispositivo no funciona adecuadamente por cualquier motivo, reemplace la pila con otra pila
nueva de alta calidad (referirse a la sección “Reemplazo de la pila”). Una situación de pila baja puede
a veces ocasionar algunas dificultades "aparentes" de funcionamiento. Reemplazar la pila con una
otra pila nueva y llena resolverá la mayoría de las dificultades.
REEMPLAZO DE LA PILA
Lecturas erráticas, visualización débil o ausente, todos indican que la batería tiene que ser
reemplazada.
Para reemplazar la pila, remueva el tornillo de la tapa de la pila. Retire la tapa girándola en el sentido

de la flecha (sentido contra horario). Saque la pila agotada y reemplace-la con una nueva pila de
1,5 volt de tamaño G-13. Las pilas de reemplazo equivalentes son: Ray-O-Vac RW42, Duracell
D357, Eveready 357. Asegúrese de que el polo positivo (+)se encuentre hacia su dirección.
Coloque de nuevo la tapa y el tornillo y apriete firmemente.

Précision du Thermomètre Ultra™
Les thermomètres Ultra™ sont testés à des points de test sélectionnés pour qu’ils soient dans les
tolérances plus strictes que la normale afin de contribuer à être encore plus précis et exact. D’autres
points ne seront pas obligatoirement dans les mêmes limites de précision que celles aux points de
test sélectionnés, mais leur exactitude sera de ±1°C.
Fonctionnement
Faire glisser l’interrupteur ON/OFF sur ON pour allumer l’appareil. Faire glisser l’interrupteur °C/°F sur
°F pour afficher la température en Fahrenheit ou °C pour afficher la température en Celsius. Insérer la
tige dans le matériel qui doit être mesuré. Faire glisser l’interrupteur ON/OFF sur OFF pour éteindre
l’appareil. Pour économiser la durée de la pile, toujours éteindre l’appareil lorsqu’il n’est pas utilisé.
Tous les problèmes de fonctionnement
Si cet appareil ne fonctionne pas correctement, quelle qu’en soit la raison, remplacer la pile par une
nouvelle pile de qualité supérieure (cf. partie « Remplacement de la pile »). Si la pile est faible, cela
peut parfois causer un certain nombre de problèmes de fonctionnement « visibles ». Le
remplacement de la pile par une nouvelle pile résoudra la plupart des problèmes.
REMPLACEMENT DE LA PILE
Des erreurs de relevé, un affichage faible, ou une absence d’affichage sont tous des signes que la
pile doit être remplacée. Pour remplacer la pile, ôter la visse qui tient le couvercle. Oter le couvercle
piles en le faisant pivoter dans le sens des flèches (opposé au sens des aiguilles de la montre). Oter
la pile usée et la remplacer par une nouvelle pile G-13 de 1,5 volts. Vous pouvez également
remplacer la pile par les piles suivantes : Ray-O-Vac RW42, Duracell D357, Eveready 357.

S’assurer que le pole positif (+) est bien tourné vers vous. Remettre le couvercle de la pile. Remettre
la visse du couvercle et bien serrer.

Ultra™ Thermometer-Genauigkeit
Ultra™-Thermometer werden an ausgewählten Messpunkten getestet, um innerhalb engeren als den
sonst üblichen Toleranzbereichen zu messen, damit diese eine größere Genauigkeit gewährleisten
können. Andere Messstellen werden nicht notwendigerweise die selbe Genauigkeit erbringen, wie die
an den ausgewählten Testpunkten vorgefundene, aber sie werden sich innerhalb einer Genauigkeit
von ±1°C befinden.
Bedienung
Schieben Sie den ON/OFF-Schalter auf ON, um das Gerät einzuschalten. Schieben Sie den °C/°F-
Schalter auf °F, um die Temperatur in Fahrenheit oder auf C, um die Tempertur in Celsius anzuzeigen.
Stecken Sie den Messstab in das zu messende Material. Schieben Sie den ON/OFF-Schalter auf
OFF, um das Gerät auszuschalten. Schalte Sie das Gerät stets aus, wenn dieses nicht in Gebrauch
ist, um die Lebensdauer der Batterie zu verlängern.
Allgemeine Bedienungsschwierigkeiten
Wenn dieses Gerät aus irgendeinem Grund nicht ordnungsgemäß funktioniert, ersetzen Sie die
Batterie mit einer neuen hochwertigen Batterie (siehe Abschnitt “Batteriewechsel”. Eine geringe
Batterieleistung kann gelegentlich eine beliebige Anzahl “scheinbarer” Bedienungsschwierigkeiten
verursachen. Der Austausch der Batterie gegen eine neue frische Batterie wid die meisten
Schwirigkeiten beheben.
BATTERIEWECHSEL
Fehlerhafte anzeigen, ein schwaches Display oder keine Anzeige sind alles Hinweise, dass die

Batterie ersetzt werden muss. Um die Batterie zu ersetzen, entfernen Sie die Schraube der
Batteriefachabdeckung. Entfernen Sie die Batterie-Abdeckung durch Drehen in Richtung des Pfeils
(gegen den Uhrzeigersinn). Entfernen Sie die erschöpfte Batterie und ersetzen Sie diese durch eine
neue 1,5 Volt-Batterie der Größe G-13. Gleichwertige Ersatz-Batterien sind: Ray-O-Vac RW42,
Duracell D357, Eveready 357. Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Pluspol (+) in Ihre Richtung zeigt. Setzen
Sie die Batteriefachabdeckung wieder ein. Setzen Sie die Schraube der Batteriefachabdeckung
wieder ein und ziehen Sie diese sicher fest.
