Introduction
Thank you for purchasing this quality product. To minimise the risk of injury we urge that our clients
take some basic safety precautions when using this device. Please read the operation instruc-
tions carefully and make sure you have understood its content.
Keep these operation instructions safe.
Safety instructions
•Do not place the stove fan on an unprotected surface when its base is still hot.
•Only move the stove fan in an emergency when it is in operation. Make sure to put on gloves to
avoid burns or injuries due to contact with the rotor.
•Keep obstacles away when the stove fan is on.
•Children and pets near the stove and the stove fan must always be supervised.
•The stove fan starts operating when the air is heated to the minimum temperature indicated in
the technical specifications. The fan rotates faster when the temperature rises, and slower when
the temperature falls. The fan base cools down together with the stove when the fuel is used
up.
Operation instructions
•Before setting up the fan, make sure that the handle is upright.
•The fan is made to be installed on free-standing wood stoves, the surface temperature of which
can rise to the maximum temperatures given in the chart of technical specifications. Should the
surface of your stove get hotter, you will need to remove the fan. The stove should have a
thermometer that shows you the current temperature. A temperature above the maximum tem-
perature given can damage the fan.
•The fan does not must be connected to an additional power source. It is powered by the heat
rising from the top of the stove.
•The fan is equipped with a heat-sensitive spring on the base, which tilts the fan slightly. This tilt
increases as the temperature increases. A slight tilt of 2 mm is normal. A larger tilt of 5 mm
means that your stove is too hot and the fan must be removed (by the handle).
Installation
1. Do not place the fan in front of or near the stove-pipe.
2. Do not use it if the temperature exceeds the maximum temperature
given.
3. The specified optimum temperature is only intended as a reference
and guide. It may differ in environments that are different from the
test environment under laboratory conditions.
Maintenance
The stove fan does not require any special maintenance. When used under normal conditions, it only
needs to be wiped occasionally with a clean, damp cloth. Do not immerse it in water or cleaning liquid
to clean it. Store the fan in the original box in a safe place when not in use.
