Energy Saving on Monitor

ASUSmonitorsupportsenergysavingmode.Ifthemonitordoesnot

detecttheHorizontalsyncsignaland/orVerticalsyncsignal,itwillenter

energysaving(standby)mode.

Whenthemonitorentersenergysaving(standby)mode,thescreenwill

displayblankandthebacklightwillbeturnedoff,andthePowerLEDwill

light“amber”.

FortheindicationofEnergySaving(standby)mode,pleaserefertoyour

userguide.

Safety information

• Beforesettingupthemonitor,carefullyreadallthedocumentationthat

camewiththepackage.

• Topreventreorshockhazard,neverexposethemonitortorainor

moisture.

• Nevertrytoopenthemonitorcabinet.Thedangeroushighvoltages

insidethemonitormayresultinseriousphysicalinjury.

• Ifthepowersupplyisbroken,donottrytoxitbyyourself.Contacta

qualiedservicetechnicianoryourretailer.

• Beforeusingtheproduct,makesureallcablesarecorrectlyconnected

andthepowercablesarenotdamaged.Ifyoudetectanydamage,

contactyourdealerimmediately.

• Slotsandopeningsonthebackortopofthecabinetareprovidedfor

ventilation.Donotblocktheseslots.Neverplacethisproductnearor

overaradiatororheatsourceunlessproperventilationisprovided.

• Themonitorshouldbeoperatedonlyfromthetypeofpowersource

indicatedonthelabel.Ifyouarenotsureofthetypeofpowersupplyto

yourhome,consultyourdealerorlocalpowercompany.

• Usetheappropriatepowerplugwhichcomplieswithyourlocalpower

standard.

• Donotoverloadpowerstripsandextensioncords.Overloadingcan

resultinreorelectricshock.

• Avoiddust,humidity,andtemperatureextremes.Donotplacethe

monitorinanyareawhereitmaybecomewet.Placethemonitorona

stablesurface.

• Unplugtheunitduringalightningstormorifitwillnotbeusedfora

longperiodoftime.Thiswillprotectthemonitorfromdamagedueto

powersurges.

• Neverpushobjectsorspillliquidofanykindintotheslotsonthe

monitor cabinet.

• Toensuresatisfactoryoperation,usethemonitoronlywithULlisted

computerswhichhaveappropriateconguredreceptaclesmarked

between100-240VAC.

• Ifyouencountertechnicalproblemswiththemonitor,contacta

qualiedservicetechnicianoryourretailer.

Care & Cleaning

• Beforeyouliftorrepositionyourmonitor,itisbettertodisconnectthecables

andpowercord.Followthecorrectliftingtechniqueswhenpositioningthe

monitor.Whenliftingorcarryingthemonitor,grasptheedgesofthemonitor.

Donotliftthedisplaybythestandorthecord.

• Cleaning.Turnyourmonitoroffandunplugthepowercord.Cleanthemonitor

surfacewithalint-free,non-abrasivecloth.Stubbornstainsmayberemoved

withaclothdampenedwithmildcleaner.

• Avoidusingacleanercontainingalcoholoracetone.Useacleanerintended

forusewiththeLED.Neverspraycleanerdirectlyonthescreen,asitmaydrip

insidethemonitorandcauseanelectricshock.

The following symptoms are normal with the monitor:

• Thescreenmayickerduringtheinitialuseduetothenatureoftheuorescent

light.TurnoffthePowerSwitchandturnitonagaintomakesurethatthe

ickerdisappears.

• Youmayndslightlyunevenbrightnessonthescreendependingonthe

desktoppatternyouuse.

• Whenthesameimageisdisplayedforhours,anafterimageoftheprevious

screenmayremainafterswitchingtheimage.Thescreenwillrecoverslowlyor

youcanturnoffthePowerSwitchforhours.

• Whenthescreenbecomesblackorashes,orcannotworkanymore,contact

yourdealerorservicecentertoxit.Donotrepairthescreenbyyourself!

To assemble the monitor base:

1. Placethedisplayatonaclothonthetable,assemblethebaseaccordingto

thedrawinganduseacointoturnthescrewtight.

2. Adjustthemonitortotheanglethatismostcomfortableforyou.

• Werecommendthatyoucoverthetablesurfacewithsoftclothtoprevent

damagetothemonitor.

1. Button:

• Automaticallyadjusttheimagetoitsoptimizedposition,clock,and

phasebylongpressingthisbuttonfor2-4seconds(forVGAmodeonly).

• Usethishotkeytoswitchfromsixvideopresetmodes(SceneryMode,

StandardMode,TheaterMode,GameMode,NightViewMode,and

sRGBMode)withSPLENDID™VideoIntelligenceTechnology.

• ExittheOSDmenuorgobacktothepreviousmenuastheOSDmenu

isactive.

2. Button:

• Pressthisbuttontodecreasethevalueofthefunctionselectedormove

tothenextfunction.

• ThisisalsoahotkeyforVolumeadjustment.

3 MENUButton:

• Pressthisbuttontoenter/selecttheicon(function)highlightedwhilethe

OSDmenuisactivated.

4. Button:

• Pressthisbuttontoincreasethevalueofthefunctionselectedormove

tothepreviousfunction.

• ThisisalsoahotkeyforBrightnessadjustment.

ThedetachablestandoftheVW248TLBSeriesLEDmonitorisspeciallydesigned

forVESAwallmount.

To detach the arm/stand:

1. Lowerthemonitortoitslowestheight,andtheninsetthemonitorheight

adjustmentlock.

2. Havethefrontofthemonitorfacedownonatable.

3. UseascrewdrivertoremovethetwoscrewsontheVESAcover,theslideout

thearm/basetodetachitfromthemonitor.

• Werecommendthatyoucoverthetablesurfacewithsoftclothtoprevent

damagetothemonitor.

• Holdthestandofthemonitorwhenyouremovethescrews.

• TheVESAwallmountkit(100x100mm)ispurchasedseparately.

• UseonlytheULListedWallMountBracketwithminimumweight/load20

Kg(Screwsize:M4x12mm).
