1. GENERAL INFORMATION
1.1 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS & GENERAL WARNINGS
Installation, operation and servicing of the SEV
should only be perfor ed by qualified
personnel. Before installing the SEV package,
the "Quic Start Guide" should be read,
understood, and all safety precautions
entioned in these docu ents and warnings
ust be followed. The SEV ust be installed
according to the descriptions in this technical
anual and in accordance with the local
elevator safety codes and directives.
1.2 PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
The SEV package consists of:
1) SEV valve,
2) Electronic card,
3) User Manual.
The valve: The s art servo electronic valve has been integrated with a pressure and te perature sensor
alongside a flow eter. The existing design has been further i proved by re oving so e adjust ents to
si plify and quicken the set-up process. Integration of pressure and te perature sensors enable excellent
ride quality by providing real ti e co pensation to pressure and te perature variations.
The smart electronic card: The onboard web server and Wi-Fi on the electronic card allows users to connect
with the card using any s art device (phone, tablet, laptop or PC). Setting up the syste , aking changes or
observing travel graphs of the elevator are possible via Wi-Fi connectivity. The platfor is syste independent
and can be accessed using any standard web browser independent of the operating syste of the device used
for interacting with the card. Since the co plete syste is platfor independent, there is no need to download
and install any app or software. The e bedded software on electronic card stores all the settings, infor ation
and travel logs. The step-by-step set up guide and ultilingual interface software in SI and I perial units ake
inputting and onitoring infor ation very easy and accessible.
1.3 WARRANTY INFORMATION
Blain's SEV User Manual is provided for qualified personnel, who are co petent in installing, adjusting and
servicing of hydraulic elevators. Blain Hydraulics assu es no liability for any personal injury, property da age,
losses or clai s arising fro in appropriate use of its product or inco petence of the installer.
Warranty expires, if:
Co ponents or spare parts different than the original ones are installed.
Elevator syste or SEV is installed or serviced by unqualified personnel.
SEV package is installed in any location without applying the elevator safety codes (EN81-20/50,
ASME 17.1 or the existing local code).
