1 Product Description
With its modular configuration, the FPA-5000 Fire Panel is easily adapted to local
circumstances and regulations. The different module blocks mean that country-specific
characteristics can be implemented in connection just as quickly as the relevant alarm
protocol.
With its special functional modules, the modular concept allows the unit to be used either as
a panel with the latest LSN and LSN improved field bus systems or as a conventional panel
with purely conventional technology or again as a hybrid panel with conventional LSN, LSN
improved and conventional elements.
Two versions of the fire panel are available, and can be upgraded with different additional
housings for every application:
– Housings for direct wall mounting
– Housings that are fitted in special mounting frames.
All housings for direct wall-mounting have pre-punched cable bushings.
Special mounting kits are available for installation in 19" cabinets.
Housings for frame mounting are fitted with integrated cable bushings and allow the use of
the larger 12 V/45 Ah batteries.
Whatever the basic housing that is used, the modular design allows trouble-free expansions
and upgrades.
The complete fire detection system is configured using the FSP-5000-RPS programming
software via a laptop.
1.1 Installation
To simplify the cable entries into the panel, special mounting frames have been developed
that allow clear and orderly installation of the complete line system.
The pre-prepared panel is then hooked onto the mounting frame and can be pivoted away for
convenient connection.
All housing types are also available for direct wall mounting depending on country-specific
requirements.
This reduces the installation depth by approx. 9 cm, although the smaller 12 V/24 Ah batteries
must be used as a result.
Special installation kits can be obtained for all housing types for installation in 19” cabinets.
CAUTION!
The larger 12 V/45 Ah batteries can only be used in conjunction with the mounting frame.

1.2 Mounting options
Surface mounting
Mounting frames with integrated junction board and housing for direct wall mounting are
available for surface mounting.
– Frame mounting:
Specially developed mounting frames are screwed to the wall and pre-wired.
The housings are hooked into these device frames and can be pivoted away for assembly
and servicing operations.
– Wall mounting:
These housings are screwed directly onto the wall to reduce the installation depth by
9cm.
19” cabinet mounting
– Special mounting kits allow installation in 19" cabinets.
