Sit-to-stand – from a seated position at the bedside
Note!Note! For this sit-to-stand procedure, the patient must be able to sit at the bedside.
Lower the bed, so that the patient can place his/her feet firmly on the floor when seated at the bedside.
If the bed is too high, use a foot stool.
Prepare the patient for raising.

and place the uppermost handle
straps on the slingbar.
One caregiver should grasp the handles at the foot end.
Start by raising the lift.
The caregiver lifts the patient’s legs over the edge of the bed and places the feet
on the floor.
Make sure the patient can sit securely at the bedside. Knees and hips should be
at the same level.
Place a suitable standing frame or walker in front of the patient to aid standing.
