2 Placing the battery
While using a new battery: rst remove the sticker
from the (+) positive side.
• Insert the battery between the battery contacts of
the module: the at side (+) positive side of the
battery should be placed on the large battery
contact.
3 Inserting Qgo in the soft tip
Correct placement of the module in the soft tip is
essential for a good sound and a proper performance
of Qgo. Therefore always check the following points to
ensure that the module has been inserted in the soft
tip correctly:
1 The module is orientated correctly if inserted as in
the image: The at side with the serial number
and the battery facing towards the pull cord, the
brand name (logo) facing away from the removal
handle.
2 The top of the at side of the module should fall
just under the last ridge of the removal handle.
3 An imaginary line running between the round cap
and the push button should be parallel to the
removal handle.
4 The edge of the soft tip should t over the groove
around the module. When t together, a dark
contact stripe will be visible around the module.
If one or more of these points are not carried out
correctly, the sound quality or the t in the ear may not
be optimal or the device might whistle (feedback). If
this happens, hold the soft tip and turn and/or push
the module into the correct position or remove the
module and reinsert it in the soft tip.
4 Placing Qgo in the ear
Insert the device into the ear by pressing on the at
side of the device (with the push button) in a small
circular motion. Now gently ‘massage’ the device
deeper into the ear. If the mouth is opened wide,
insertion will be easier. The use of insertion crème/
cosmetic skincare/gel considerably eases the
insertion.
Make sure your hands are clean while inserting the Qgo.
Make-up, crème, body oil, gel, hairspray and likewise
products can dirty up the module and can, for example,
contribute to the clogging of the microphone opening.

Removing Qgo from the ear
Hold the removal handle rmly and pull it – always
slowly – out of the ear.
5 Adjusting the volume
The push button is used to select the volume setting
you prefer. By touching the push button briey, one of
four pre-set volume levels can be selected. These levels
are softer, as well as louder.
One can identify the volume level by the number of
beeps that will sound after touching the push button.
After insertion of the battery, the device is set by
default to the initial volume. Just a short touch to the
push button will produce two beeps, indicating that
the next volume level is activated. After another short
touch to the push button, three beeps will be audible
indicating that volume level three has been activated.
Another touch to the push button will activate volume
level four. While you are in level four, after pressing the
push button one beep becomes audible and the
device sets back to the initial volume level.
Cleaning
The building up of ear wax diers from one person to
another. Therefore, from time to time it cannot be
avoided that the sound outlet of the soft tip will be
clogged with ear wax. In case you observe that the
sound outlet of the soft tip has been clogged, you may
clean the soft tip or replace it.
Module:
• Clean regularly with a soft and dry tissue.
Soft tip:
• Clean regularly with a soft and dry tissue.
N.b.: Never use aggressive cleaning products, abrasives
or solvents! This can cause irrevocable damage to the
soft tip or the module.
Storage
At night:
We recommend that you remove both soft tip and
battery from your Qgo during the night and store it in
a secure place outside its box. In this way, you increase
the operational life of the battery and also allow for the
evaporation of moisture possibly present in the device.
Short term storage:
You may use the carrying box, when you want to
remove the device from the ear temporarily.
Long term storage:
When you don’t use your Qgo over a longer period of
time, clean the module and soft tip before storing

them inside the carrying box. In this case, always
remove battery and soft tip from the device.
Trouble shooting
If your Qgo makes a whistling sound regularly, make
sure that:
1 the correct size of soft tip has been used
2 the module has been inserted properly in the soft
tip and
3 Qgo has been inserted properly and far enough in
the ear
If you wear your soft tips too long, the material could
deteriorate and loose its seal. In that case replace the
soft tip with a new one. N.b.: It is normal that the Qgo
makes a whistling sound if you place it in the ear.
If you can not hear any sound from the Qgo, it is
possible that:
1 the battery is dead. Battery life depends very
much on the wearing time. If you wear the Qgo
app.16 hours a day, you should at least have 4
days of battery life. Bare in mind that a cell battery
always draws power after removing the sticker,
even when not used in a device!
2 the sound opening of the soft tip is blocked with
ear wax. If this is the case clean the soft tip (see
chapter ‘Maintenance and use - Cleaning’) or
replace it.
If the removal handle protrudes after the insertion of
the device and becomes visible, it can be easily
custom-cut with a side cutter or a pair of scissors.
Important
• Do not adjust the volume level too high.
• Do not use the Qgo in very loud environments.
• Adjust the volume with the push button just high
enough for good speech understanding
• Ringing ears might be a sign that the volume level
is too high. Adjust the level by using the push
button.
• Before inserting Qgo in the ear, have your ears
checked. If there is excessive cerumen in your ear
canal, have it cleaned rst. Do not do this yourself.
Always turn to an ENT doctor, a physician or an
audiologist for these procedure.
• Never use the Qgo module without soft tip. The
soft tip is an essential part of Qgo. Without the
soft tip it will be dicult or even impossible to
remove the module from the ear. In that case
medical care is inevitable. Also, without the soft
tip, Qgo will not be able to function properly and
this could cause irreversible damage the module.
• Never use damaged or dirtied soft tips. This can
negatively aect the hearing performance or
result in an uncomfortable t, which in turn could
lead to infections of the ear.
• Replace the soft tip of your device regularly, even

if it is not visibly damaged or dirtied.
• If you suer from persistent pain, continuous
irritation or itching, stop wearing Qgo and seek
medical advise. Always have your ears and your
hearing checked regularly.
• Care should be taken in using make-up, crème,
body oil, gel, hairspray and similar products, while
you are wearing or inserting the Qgo. They can
aect your device in many ways such as,
contribute to the clogging of the microphone
opening.
• It can be a choking hazard to small children.
• Used batteries and old Qgo devices should be
collected and disposed as small chemical waste.
Do not use the Qgo in the following cases:
• Exostoses (bulging bone growth) in the ear canal.
• Heavy ear wax secretion.
The device should not be:
• dropped.
• exposed to moisture or water.
• immersed in water.
• used while swimming, taking shower, bathing or
in the sauna.
• exposed to extreme high temperatures, such as
when using a hair dryer.
• worn in mines or other environments where
explosion risk is high.
• exposed to X-ray radiation or strong magnetic
elds, such as during medical investigation.
• worn in the places where hairspray (hairdresser) or
solvents (such as dye) are used.
Warranty
The Qgo has a one year warranty. If you wish to use the
warranty the Qgo should be returned to your supplier
together with the original receipt.
Excluded from the warranty:
• damage from improper or careless use;
• damage caused by unauthorized maintenance or
repair

2 Het plaatsen van de batterij
Bij gebruik van een nieuwe batterij: verwijder eerst de
sticker van de + pool.
• Breng de batterij in tussen de batterijcontacten
van het toestel: de vlakke batterijkant op het grote
batterijcontact.
3 Qgo in de softtip brengen
Het correct plaatsen van het toestel in de softtip is
essentieel voor een goed geluid en een juiste werking
van de Qgo. Check daarom altijd de volgende punten
om zeker te zijn dat het toestel correct in de softtip
geplaatst is:
1 De module wordt in de softtip geplaatst zoals op
de afbeelding. De vlakke zijde met het
serienummer en de batterij liggen aan de kant van
het trekkoordje, de ‘ExSilent’ opdruk moet
zichtbaar zijn aan de tegenoverliggende kant.
2 De vlakke kant van het toestel (de kant van de
drukschakelaar) zit nét onder het laatste ribbeltje
van het trekkoordje.
3 De denkbeeldige lijn die loopt tussen connector
en drukschakelaar loopt parallel aan het
trekkoordje.
4 Het randje in de softtip valt in de groef rondom
het toestel. Als beide in elkaar vallen, is een donker
contactstreepje zichtbaar rondom het toestel.
Indien één of meer van deze punten niet correct zijn,
bestaat de kans dat het geluid of de passing in het oor
niet optimaal is en kan het toestel gaan piepen
(feedback). Houd in dat geval de softtip vast en draai
en/of duw het toestel in de juiste positie of plaats het
toestel opnieuw in de softtip.
4 Qgo in het oor plaatsen
Breng nu het toestel in het oor door met een kleine
cirkelvormige beweging op het platte uiteinde (met
de schakelaar) van het toestel te drukken. ‘Masseer’ zo
het toestel het oor in. De mond wijd openen maakt
het inbrengen eenvoudiger. Het gebruik van
inbrengcrème / -gel maakt het inbrengen aanzienlijk
gemakkelijker.
Let er bij het inbrengen van de Qgo op dat uw handen
schoon zijn. Met name crèmes, huidoliën, gel en
dergelijke kunnen het toestel verontreinigen en er

bijvoorbeeld toe bijdragen dat de microfoonopening
verstopt raakt.
Qgo uit het oor nemen
Pak het trekkoordje vast en trek het toestel - altijd
langzaam - uit het oor.
5 Het volume aanpassen
Met de drukschakelaar kunt u het gewenste volume
selecteren. Door kort indrukken van de drukschakelaar
wordt een van de vier voorgeprogrammeerde
volumeniveaus geselecteerd. Deze niveaus zijn zowel
zachter als harder.
U kunt het volumeniveau herkennen aan het aantal
piepjes welke klinken na het indrukken van de
drukschakelaar. Na het inbrengen van de batterij staat
het toestel standaard op het basisvolumeniveau. Door
kort indrukken van de drukschakelaar worden twee
pieptoontjes hoorbaar, die aangeven dat het volgende
volumeniveau is geactiveerd. Na nogmaals kort
indrukken van de drukschakelaar worden drie
pieptoontjes hoorbaar, die aangeven dat
volumeniveau drie is geactiveerd. Na nogmaals
indrukken activeert volumeniveau vier. Wanneer u in
volumeniveau vier bent, wordt na een druk op de
drukschakelaar één piepje hoorbaar en is het toestel
weer terug op het basisvolumeniveau.
Reiniging
De aanmaak van oorsmeer is zeer individueel. Het is
daarom niet uit te sluiten dat de geluidsuitgang van de
softtip verstopt raakt met oorsmeer. Mocht u
constateren dat de geluidsuitgang van de softtip
verstopt is, dan kunt u de softtip schoonmaken of
vervangen.
Module:
• Regelmatig schoonmaken met een zachte, droge
tissue.
Softtip:
• Regelmatig schoonmaken met een zachte, droge
tissue.
N.b.: Gebruik nooit agressieve reinigingsmiddelen,
schuur- of oplosmiddelen! Deze kunnen de softtip of het
toestel onherstelbaar beschadigen.
Opbergen
´s Nachts:
Wij adviseren om ‘s nachts module en softtip los te
halen, de batterij uit het toestel te nemen en op een
veilige plek buiten het opbergdoosje te bewaren. Op
die manier verlengt u de levensduur van de batterij en
kan eventueel aanwezig vocht uit het toestel
verdampen.

Kort opbergen:
Gebruik het opbergdoosje indien u het toestel even uit
het oor wilt nemen.
Lang opbergen:
Wanneer u uw hoortoestel langere tijd opbergt,
gebruikt u het opbergdoosje nadat module en softtip
schoongemaakt zijn. Haal in dat geval altijd de batterij
uit het toestel en neem het toestel uit de softtip.
Vragen en antwoorden
Maakt uw Qgo regelmatig een uitend geluid?
Zorg dan dat:
1 u de juiste maat softtip gebruikt;
2 het toestel op de juiste manier in de softtip is
geplaatst;
3 de Qgo op de juiste manier en ver genoeg in het
oor is gebracht.
N.b. het is normaal dat de Qgo een uitend geluid maakt
wanneer u het in het oor plaatst.
Werkt uw softtip niet goed meer?
Wanneer u de softtip te lang draagt kan het materiaal
verslechteren en zijn afsluitende werking verliezen.
Vervang in dat geval de softtip voor een nieuw
exemplaar.
Neemt u geen geluid waar van de Qgo?
Het kan zijn dat:
1 de batterij leeg is. De levensduur van de batterij
hangt af van de gebruiksintensiteit. Wanneer u de
Qleaf gemiddeld 16 uur per dag draagt, dan kunt
u de batterij zeker 4 dagen gebruiken. Wees u er
van bewust dat een knoopcel batterij altijd
energie verliest nadat u de sticker heeft
verwijderd, ook als u het toestel niet gebruikt!
2 de opening van de softtip geblokkeerd wordt
door oorsmeer. Wanneer dit het geval is, reinig
dan de softtip (zie hoofdstuk “Onderhoud en
gebruik – Reiniging”) of vervang het.
Is het trekkoortje nog zichtbaar?
Wanneer het trekkoordje na het inbrengen in het oor
uitsteekt en zichtbaar is, kan het gemakkelijk op maat
geknipt worden met een (zij)kniptang of een schaar.
Belangrijk
• Zet het volume niet te hard.
• Gebruik de Qgo niet in omgevingen met zeer hard
geluid.
• Pas het volume met de drukschakelaar zo aan dat
het geluid net hard genoeg is voor goede
spraakverstaanbaarheid.
• Oorsuizen kan een signaal zijn dat het
volumeniveau te hoog staat. Pas het niveau aan
door gebruik te maken van de drukschakelaar.

• Zorg dat uw oren zijn nagekeken voordat u de
Qgo in het oor plaatst. Wanneer veel oorsmeer in
uw oorkanaal aanwezig is, zorg dan dat uw oren
eerst worden schoongemaakt. Doe dit niet zelf.
Raadpleeg altijd een KNO arts, een huisarts of een
audioloog voor deze handeling.
• Gebruik nooit het toestel zonder de bijhorende
softtip. De softtip is een essentieel onderdeel van
de Qgo. Zonder softtip is het lastig of zelfs
onmogelijk om het toestel uit het oor te
verwijderen. In dat geval is medische zorg
onvermijdelijk. De Qgo kan niet functioneren
zonder softtip en het toestel kan onherstelbaar
beschadigd raken.
• Gebruik geen beschadigde of vervuilde softtips.
Dit kan de luisterprestaties nadelig beïnvloeden of
een oncomfortabele passing tot gevolg hebben
en mogelijkerwijs leiden tot infecties van het oor.
• Vervang regelmatig de softtip van uw toestel, ook
als deze niet direct zichtbaar beschadigd of
vervuild is.
• In geval van pijn, aanhoudende irritatie of jeuk, de
Qgo niet meer gebruiken totdat u specialistisch
advies heeft ingewonnen. Laat regelmatig uw
oren en uw gehoor controleren.
• Let op met het gebruik van make-up, crèmes,
huidolie, gel, haarlak en dergelijke producten,
terwijl u de Qgo draagt of inbrengt. Deze kunnen
het toestel vervuilen en er bijvoorbeeld toe
bijdragen dat de microfoonopening verstopt raakt.
• Houd de Qgo uit de buurt van kleine kinderen. Bij
inslikken van een van de onderdelen bestaat bij
kleine kinderen de kans op verstikking.
• Verzamel en verwijder lege batterijen en oude
hoortoestellen als Klein Chemisch Afval.
De Qgo niet gebruiken in geval van:
• exostosen (botuitstulpingen) in de gehoorgang.
• hevige oorsmeervorming.
Het toestel niet:
• laten vallen;
• blootstellen aan vocht of water;
• onderdompelen;
• gebruiken tijdens zwemmen, douchen, in bad of
in de sauna;
• blootstellen aan extreme temperaturen,
bijvoorbeeld tijdens föhnen;
• dragen in mijnen of andere omgevingen met
explosierisico’s.
• blootstellen aan röntgenstraling en sterke
magnetische velden, bijvoorbeeld tijdens medisch
onderzoek.
• dragen in ruimtes waar haarlak (kapper) of
oplosmiddelen (zoals verf) worden gebruikt.
Garantie
De Qgo heeft een garantie van een jaar. Wanneer u
gebruik wilt maken van de garantie dient de Qgo
