Kmicro-USB Power In – the universal standard for charging
Getting Started
1. IMPORTANT: Use the wall charger with the “high-power” micro-round
connector (not the micro USB) cable to fully charge the foxL before using
battery operation the rst time.
2. See Bluetooth Operation below for rst-time “pairing”instructions.
Getting the Most
1. IMPORTANT: Turn power OFF when not listening to avoid battery drain.
(Or in battery-operated Bluetooth mode set to Auto O. See below.)
2. Placing foxL DASH on or near a solid surface will increase bass and

Aim for the Sky or Face the Music
foxL DASH was acoustically engineered with patented fth
generation Twoofers (tweeters that also woof) for extremely
wide sound dispersion characteristics allowing it to lie
at and re its sound omnidirectionally (for movies/
parties) or directed at the listener using the included
stand/case (see gure below) for more critical listening.
Battery Charging & Power Use
The DASH can be operated either via its internal rechargeable battery or
externally via AC power. Use our included universal AC adapter or any other
high-quality 5 Volt 2 to 3 Amp USB-A charger (such as the Apple® iPad®
charger) with our included 5V mini-barrel cable for best performance (your
power output doubles). Alternately you may charge using our micro-USB
cable, however power will not double, and the charging time, especially
if connected to a computer USB port, may be signi cantly slower.
Bluetooth Operation
Before you begin be sure your phone/tablet or other device is able to stream
A2DP Bluetooth music.
1. Pair/Make DASH Discoverable – From power OFF position, press and hold
POWER/BLUETOOTH button for about 6 seconds. You will see the power turn-
on and LED ashing Blue/Amber. This means the DASH is discoverable,
in pairing mode, and waiting to be paired and then connected.
2. Once paired, next time you power up DASH, it’ll auto search and connect to
your last paired device, blue LED ashes (2 secs on/3 secs o ).
3. Forced Pairing – If you want to pair to a di erent device from the one currently
paired, see step 1 above.
NOTE 1: Your DASH can connect to 1 device at time. To connect to a new device, turn the
original device o and move it fully out-of-range. Or Force Pair per above #3.
NOTE 2: Your DASH can store up to 8 Bluetooth devices. See“Clear Bluetooth Memory.”.

Optional Subwoofer
With DASH’s subwoofer output you can easily add the Soundmatters
palm-sized foxLO, or a larger good-quality powered hi-subwoofer.
NOTE: If your subwoofer connects with an RCA, typically use the RIGHT/Red
input only (refer to sub manual), and use an RCA to 3.5mm adapter to connect
to DASH.
Auto Power O(to prevent battery drain)
1. Press VOL+ and VOL– together until LED ashes twice to switch between
enabled and disabled.
2. LED ashes green to indicate Auto Power Ois enabled
and ashes red to indicate it is disabled.
NOTE: Auto Power Ois available ONLY when battery-powered in Bluetooth
mode. Auto Power Oengages when Bluetooth is idle more than 5 minutes. It
does NOT work in wired audio mode with the 3.5 mm phone jack plugged‐in.
Clear Bluetooth Memory (after 8 devices):
1. DASH can store up to 8 devices as paired in its memory. After that you need to
clear the memory to pair new devices.
2. While connected to the external power adapter, press VOL+, VOL– and
