4-1. S2- Harvesting mode selection
Setting Label Function Dip Switch Setting
MODE0 Selects RF or PV harvesting:
The PV harvesting range supported in the pre-loaded application is 1.7V -
2V,
High = RF
Low = PV
MODE1 Selects Harvesting to load:
Disabled = harvesting power is only used to charge the storage element.
VBAT is used to provide power to the load.
This mode supports characterization of the harvesting performance.
Enabled = harvesting power is used to power the load first, and the remaining
power is used to charge the storage element.
VBAT is used to provide power to the load when the harvesting and stored
power are not enough.
This is the normal operation mode of the SoC
Note: This setting is only supported when MODE2 is set to low (non-rechargeable
battery)
High = Disabled
Low = Enabled
MODE2 Select battery type:
High = connect a high-voltage battery or storage device at VBALI to start
operation.
RF-only or PV-
only harvesting settings are enabled based on MODE0 setting.
MODE1 setting is ignored.
Low = connect a non-rechargeable battery at VBAT to start operation.
RF-only or PV-only harvesting settings are enabled based on the MODE0
setting. Harvesting to load is enabled or disabled based on the MODE1
setting.
High = Battery/ storage
device on VBATLI pin
Low = non-rechargeable
battery on VBAT pin
