The Hydrotek 8000 Series Automac Flush Valves are the most advanced,
electronic ushing system in the industry today. By incorporang our eld-
tested electronic circuitry and slow-closing solenoid valves, Hydrotek has
developed an innovave non-diaphragm, piston ushing mechanism that
will provide years of dependable and trouble-free service. The Hydrotek
AUTOFLUSH system is completely automac: there is no need to contact
any surface, no handle to push, and it ushes only when it is used. It
provides the ulmate sanitary protecon, the convenience of cleaner
restroom facilies, and the most ecient system in water conservaon.

Installa on Instruc ons:
1. Prior to installa on, “DRY TEST” the unit for proper
opera ons. Loosen the Set Screws (1) using the allen
wrench provided and remove the Top Cap (2) from the
valve body by pulling it straight up.
2. Connect the AC Power Adapter (3) to the Control
Module (4) and plug it in to a working power outlet.
Push the RESET bu on and watch the indicator lights
on the Control Module (4) for the following pa ern:
Red, (click), Green, Red, Red. This indicates that the
electronics are func oning properly. If the indicator
lights do not blink, contact the factory or your local
Hydrotek representa ve.
3. Reinstall the Top Cap (2) onto the valve body and
ghten the Set Screws (1). Install the Stop Valve (5) to
the supply line using a Hydrotek Sweat Kit (op onal).
4. Connect the valve body to the Stop Valve (5) using the
Slip Joint Nut (6).
5. A ach the Vacuum Breaker (7) and Tailpiece (9) to the
valve body using the Lock Nut (8). Secure the Tailpiece
(9) to the plumbing fi xture using the provided Spud
Coupling (10).
6. Turn the water on through the Stop Valve (5) and check
for leaks. Push and hold the Override Bu on (11) for
30 seconds and check the fi xture for over ow. Adjust
the water ow from the Stop Valve (5) for a smoother
ush.
7. TEST: Stand in front of the ush valve for 4 seconds,
then step away. The valve should ush automa cally. If
not, refer to the Troubleshoo ng Guide.
8. Flow rates are preadjusted from the factory. If minor
adjustments are needed, contact Hydrotek for further
details.

Troubleshoong Guide
Normal Operaon: When power is connected, the ush valve will immediately perform diagnosc funcon.
You will hear a clicking sound and see lights ash. When the sensor is acvated, the light will ash once and
the valve will ush. The red indicator light will ash when the baeries are low.
Problem Possible Cause To Diagnose Remedy
Valve will not turn on:
Water not turned on Check water supply Turn water on

Valve will not shut o:
The solenoid valve is normally closed. Turn o water and acvate the valve. If there is a clicking
sound, the solenoid valve is dirty. If there is no clicking sound, then check the solenoid valve. If
water is leaking through, the solenoid valve is dirty and needs to be serviced.
Other factors include:
• Sensor distance is too long
• Control module is defecve
• Manual override buon is scking
IMPORTANT: Periodic maintenance is required for smooth and trouble-free operaon of this ush valve.

Dura-Ware 2162 Series
Washout Urinal
Exposed Mounting Screws are furnished. No concealed wall fasteners or anchor shields are
furnished.
Provide and install Acorn Dura-Ware Washout Urinal (specify model number and options). Urinal
shall be back wall washdown type. Fixture shall be fabricated from 14 gage, type 304 stainless
steel and shall have coved corners to facilitate cleaning. Urinal shall meet ASME A112.19.3 and
CSA B45.4 requirements. All welds shall be continuous and exterior surfaces shall have a satin
finish. P-trap shall be fully enclosed. Fixture shall be furnished with exposed mounting screws.
Urinal is washout type with back wall washdown manufactured to ASME A112.19.3 and CSA
B45.4 requirements. Flushing inlet connection is 3/4" NPT male. Bottom of urinal is sloped to a
high capacity stainless steel beehive dome strainer. Strainer is secured with tamper-resistant
screws. P-trap has a minimum of 2" seal.
Washout Urinal
Fixture is arranged to be installed on finished wall and serviced from the front side. Fixture is
fabricated from 14 gage, type 304 stainless steel and is seamless welded construction. Exterior
has a satin finish. Interior has a matte finish. Fixture has a back wall washdown, and is
optionally available with a continuous flushing rim that washes all four walls. Corners are coved
to facilitate cleaning. P-trap is fully enclosed. Back of fixture is sound-deadened with fire-
resistant material.
