IVP 1000 Pet SF
Wireless passive infrared motion sensor
Congratulations, you have just purchased a product with Intelbras quality and safety.
The IVP 1000 Pet SF motion sensor features passive infrared ray detection technology,
with advanced signal analysis technology that prevents accidental triggering.

Care and safety
» This product is intended for INDOOR environments.
» The
Pet
function is intended for crawling animals weighing up to 20 kg. If the animal is on top of a bench, for example,
the
Pet
function can be canceled.
» Do not use the sensor in areas with sudden changes in temperature such as air conditioners and heaters, fans, refrigera-
tors and ovens. Do not expose the sensor directly or to sunlight reections.
» Avoid touching the surface of the PIR, if necessary, use a soft cloth for cleaning.
» Do not place objects in front of the sensor. To secure the detection area, avoid curtains, screens, or any object that blocks
the scan.
» Wireless communication technology, when exposed to environments with high power radiation, can suffer interference and
have its performance impaired. Example: locations near TV towers, AM/FM radio stations, ham radio stations, routers, etc.
» The sensor must be installed where a possible intruder is easily detected, that is, where there is movement across the
sensor’s detection beams.
» The recommended installation height is between 2.0 and 2.40 meters. If the sensor is installed at a different height than
specied, its detection and
Pet
function may be impaired in order to nullify the Pet immunity.
» LGPD – General Personal Data Protection Law: Intelbras does not access, transfer, capture or perform any other type of
processing of personal data from this product.

4. Installation
The sensor must be installed on a at, xed, icker-free surface with a height between 2.0 and 2.4 meters. It is recommen-
ded to install the sensor parallel to the wall for the greatest detection range. If the sensor is installed tilted or with the use
of an articulator, its detection range and
Pet
function may be impaired in order to nullify the function.
To install the sensor, follow the procedure below:
» Open the sensor front cover using a screwdriver or similar tool.
» Insert the battery observing the polarity indicated on the product plate. The LED will blink for a few seconds (stabilization
time), when it goes off, the sensor will already be in normal operation.
Note: do not register the sensor in the central during the stabilization time, wait for it to start working.
» To register the sensor code in the alarm control panel, check the procedure in the manual of the used alarm control panel
and trigger a trip or press the
PROG
button located on the sensor board.

8
» Install it in the location to be protected using the screw locations as shown in the following gures:

corners
» Close the case by snapping on the top of the front cover rst and descending perpendicularly towards the bottom of
the sensor.
Important: the IVP 1000 Pet SF was designed for indoor and closed areas and with the presence of animals of up to 20
kg, so do not use it for protection of outdoor or open areas and with the presence of animals of more than 20 kg.
5. Sensitivity setting
The sensor has a selector switch for sensitivity adjustment, where it is possible to adjust between the 3 detection levels.
» 1P: maximum sensitivity for motion detection;
» 2P: medium sensitivity (factory default);
» 3P: minimum sensitivity for greater robustness against accidental shot.

9
6. Operation
When energizing the sensor, it runs in test mode for 15 minutes so that all sensor positioning adjustments can be made.
During this period, at any motion detection the LED lights up and a trigger is generated.
After the test mode, the sensor goes into economic operating mode, so that when it detects movement it turns on the
LED, triggers and goes into hibernation, remaining for a period that can last from 30 seconds (environment with little
movement) up to 2 minutes (environment with a lot of movement). During this sleep period the LED is not activated and
no new triggers are generated, as a notication has just been sent to the control panel.
After the sleep time, the sensor goes back to monitoring the environment until detecting a new movement.
This ability to learn from the movement of the environment means that periodic and non-continuous shots are generated
in places with high movement, in turn, saving battery.

again.
7. Test
Once installed and energized, walk in the area to be protected simulating a possible intrusion. Observe if the sensor is
able to detect your movements during the journey, by lighting the lens. Adjust its sensitivity if necessary or reposition the
sensor installation.

10
8. Low battery sensor
The IVP 1000 Pet SF sensor controls the battery level and if it is critical (equal to or below 2.5V) it sends the information to
the control panel during triggering. In addition, the sensor also signals through the LED, after each activation of the sensor
the LED lights up (as usual) and then ashes indicating low battery.
Use only quality batteries with the correct sizing for the device, and with typical use of the device, the expected battery life
is 1 to 2 years, which may be inuenced by the number of activations, weather conditions and mode of settings. The battery
model must be CR123A 3V, using one (1) battery per sensor.
9. Battery replacement
To replace the product’s battery:
» Remove the dead battery;
» Press the
PROG
button or wait a few seconds for the circuit to completely discharge;
» Connect new battery.
