Chapter 4: Connection
How to connect to a satellite
For reception of DVB services in combination with most common satellite systems with frequency range
between 10.7 to 12.75 GHz.
Satellite reception is possible with:
• Single-LNB
• Twin-LNB
• Quad- LNB
• Quattro-LNB via switch
4.1 Connected directly to the LNB:
1. LNB Input
4.2 Connect a set top box (STB) and use one LNB by loop out to SAT-USB01-KN from STB’s LNB out,
or RF out.
Caution: STB MUST BE POWERED
OFF when Digistar is working
1. LNB Input
2. STB
3. INPUT
4. OUTPUT
4.3 Connect up to four LNB’s with a DiSEqC switch to receive multiple satellites with your SatBox Mini
USB.
1. LNB Input
→Support DiSEqC 1.0 (2.0 possible but no return path function)
→Up to 4 satellites with 4 frequency areas per satellite.
→Not for DiSEqC 1.2 / USALS (will damage the STA-USB01-KN and maybe the computer)
