Things You Can Do!

Printing You can use your machine as a highly functional printer for high quality (600 dpi) printing onto large size

paper.

● Printing from Windows

● Printing from a Mac

● Printing from AutoCAD

● Print without opening the

creator application

● Reprint a finished print job

Printing is possible under Windows 95/98, Me, NT 4.0 and 2000. The printer driver

for each of these systems is included on the accessory CD-ROM, so you can print

from that environment by simply installing the appropriate driver.

See "Using your Copier as a Printer (Windows 95/98/Me/NT 4.0/2000)"

Printing is possible under any Macintosh operating system between 8.6 and 9.1. The

appropriate PPD file is included on the accessory CD-ROM, so you can print from a

Mac by simply installing that file.

See "Using your Copier as a Printer (Macintosh)"

Printing is possible using AutoCAD Release 14, 2000i and 2000. The printer driver for

each of these versions is included on the accessory CD-ROM, so you can print from

that environment by simply installing the appropriate driver.

See "Printing from AutoCAD"

Print without opening the creator application

Printing is possible by using the included Print Utility to select files of a compatible

format, such as HP-GL/2, without the need to open it in the application that created it.

See "Using the Print Utility"

The copier-printer contains a spooling function which allows you to reprint a job that

has already been completed. You can also cancel print jobs as well as change the

number of prints to be made for any job.

See "Using Web Manager"

Scanning

● Scanning from the copier-

scanner's operation panel

● Scanning from a TWAIN-

compatible application

● Scanning from an Internet Web

browser

Scanning is possible by using the included Scanner File Utility to have scanned

image data automatically sent from the copier-scanner to a computer. In this way

there's no need for you to run back and forth between your computer and the copier-

scanner each time you want to scan an image. It is also possible to select the

destination computer directly from the operation panel of the copier-scanner.

See "Using the Scanner File Utility"

Scanning is possible using a TWAIN-compatible application by simply installing the

included TWAIN Source.

See "Using the TWAIN Source"

Scanning (WebScan) is possible using an Internet Web browser. The scanned image

data will be converted to JPEG or TIFF format and saved on the copier-scanner's

hard disk. You can then download the corresponding data as desired, also using your

Internet Web browser.

See "Using Web Manager"

You can use your machine as a network scanner for scanning large size documents.

Settings

You can use an Internet Web browser to make printing- and scanning-related settings in your machine.

See "Using Web Manager"

Section 2 About the Accessory CD-ROM

2-1 Using the CD-ROM

Once you insert the CD-ROM that is included with the CAD Master Controller into the CD-ROM drive of

your computer, the Main Menu screen should appear automatically. (Depending, however, on the related

settings in your computer, you may have to access the Main Menu screen manually. In this case, open the

CD-ROM window to access its contents and double-click on the [setup.exe] file.)
