1.-Beforepouringthe concretemass on thestructure,itisnecessarytolevelproperlytheconcrete
mass.Togetarightcompaction ofthe concrete,youshouldusethevibratingpokersadditionally.
It'simportanttotakereferencesorlevelsoutofthe mass toseethelevelobjectiveclearly.The
marks ofthe feetand thetooldisappearafterthe lastpass ofthe screed.The vibration wave
produced, reachesadepthof18 cmdependingon the typeofconcretemass.
2.-When the mass isprepared, the screed islaidoverthe concretemass withthe motorrunningat the
topspeed andyoumustsupportthe handlelightlyinordertoavoidthe screedjumpsoverthe
surfaceand doesnot create"waves"and "marks"withedges. Pull and pushconstantlythe screed.
It isimportanttogetasmoothsurface.The screedmustbeincontactwiththe concrete.The
screed mustnot showanyresistancetopulling,itmustslipoverthe concrete. Thespeed topush
and pull the screeddependsonthedepthand the consistencyofthe mass.
3.-Tojudgethe qualityofthe vibration,the marks ofthe feetand the beammustdisappear.Incaseof
the concreteisnotreallysmooth, repeat the previousinstruction.
4.-Then,amixturecalled "milk"appearson thesurface(thisisamixtureof3-4mmthickness
composed ofwater, concrete, andsmall sand particles).
5.-Watermust evaporatequicklyand thesurfacewill becomedull.The fine layercalled "milk"isacting
asacinderpaperforthe belowlayersand avoidsthe sweatingeffect. The waterstaysinthe below
layersandthesurfacemoistens.
6.-Severalhourslater,theconcreteisreadyforadditionalfinishingoperations.Youcanuseatrowel
(singleordoubleride-on-type)orre-vibration equipment(doublerollerunitwithintegratedvibrating
system).Thesemachinesprovide ahigherresistancetowearingbutarenotrequired forall the
typesoffloors.
SERVICE&MAINTENANCE
Maintenance
TheMMDisdesigned togivemanyyearsoftroublefree operation. It isrecommended that anapproved
dealercarriesoutall majormaintenanceand repairs.Alwaysuseourgenuine replacementparts,the use
ofspuriouspartsmayvoidyourwarranty.
It isrecommended tospraythealuminumblade andquick disconnectorpriortooperation,withahigh
qualityformoil.
Onlyqualified personnel,familiarwiththe contentsofthisoperation manual,areallowed tocarryout
maintenanceandrepairjobstothe MMD.
AfterusestoretheMMDinaclean, dryand dust free place.
Lubricatethe blade pitchcontrol,afteralongperiodeofstorage, orat least twiceayear.
Inordertoachieveamaximumcollingeffectthe ventilation openingsmuststayfree fromdirtorgrease.
Check themat the end ofeachworkingday.
Ifnecessary, cleanthemwithabrushoradampcloth.
Foraproperfunctioningofthecarburator scontrolmechanism,itisnecessarytocheck thecarburator
forconcreteordirt, eachtimeafteruse.Ifnecessarycleanthecontrolmechanismwithabrushora
dampcloth.
PeriodicMaintenance
1.-Daily(8hours).
Clean the engine and the beams, check the bolts&nuts, check andfill the engine reservoirwithoil.
2.-Weekly(50 hours).
Changethe motoroil (first 20 hours), clean the sparkingplugsand the airfilter.
