When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to
reduce the risk of re, electric shock, and injury to persons. These precautions include:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE.
• Use fan only for purposes described in the instruction manual.
• To protect against electrical shock do not immerse unit, plug or cord in water or spray
with liquids. Plug the appliance directly into electrical outlet.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use, when moving fan from one location to another,
before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning.
• Avoid contact with moving parts.
• Do not operate in the presence of explosive and/or ammable fumes.
• To avoid re hazard, NEVER place the cord under rugs or any parts near an open ame,
cooking or other heating appliance.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug after the appliance
malfunctions, or has been dropped/damaged in any manner. Take it to an Authorized
Service Center for its examination and/or repair.
• The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may
cause hazards.
• Do not use outdoors. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table, counter or come
in contact with hot surfaces or leave exposed to high trafc areas.
• To disconnect, grip plug and pull from wall outlet. Never yank on cord.
• Always use on a dry, level surface.
• Do not operate fan until fully assembled with all parts properly in place.
• This product is intended for household use ONLY and not for commercial or industrial
applications.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the appliance.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children, or
incapacitated individuals.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
Read and follow all the instructions for this section on use and care and nd a place to keep
this instruction manual ready for future reference.
For your convenience, record the complete model number (located at the bottom of the
motor) and the date you received the product, together with your purchase receipt and
attach to the warranty and service information. Retain in the event that the warranty service
is required.
NOTE: The use of attachments not recommended or sold by Sunbeam Products, Inc. may
cause re, electrical shock, injury or damage to the product.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove the thumbscrew from the bottom of the motor assembly (turning counter-
clockwise). Then attach motor assembly to base hole until snapped. Make sure to align
the notch on the motor assembly with the rib on the base. Tighten thumbscrew on the
bottom of the base (turning clockwise).
2. Remove the grill retaining nut (turning counter-clockwise) while holding motor housing.
Take off the motor shaft sleeve protector, if included, and discard.
3. Set the rear grill in the proper position (carry handle up) on the motor assembly, with
vertical openings at top and bottom tting over notches. Then screw on the grill retaining
nut (turning clockwise) until tight.
4. Install the blade onto the shaft of the motor assembly and screw on the blade retaining
nut (turning counter-clockwise while holding the blade) until tight. Make sure that the fan
blade rests on the pin on the motor shaft.
5. Loosen the four clips on the front grill. Place the front grill on the rear grill with the Oster®
logo upright. Snap all the clips into place.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Once unit is fully assembled (see Assembly Instructions section) place unit on at level
surface and plug it into an appropriate electrical outlet.
2. Move the speed knob to select the desired fan speed or to turn it off: “ ” for “OFF”,
“ ” for Low Speed, “ ” for Medium Speed and “ ” for High Speed (see Figure 1).
3. To make the fan head oscillate, push the oscillation knob DOWN. To stop the oscillation,
pull the oscillation knob UP (see Figure 1).
4. Adjust the tilt of the fan head to the desired angle by pushing gently up or down on the
fan guard, while holding the fan by the motor assembly/control panel.
CAUTION: The fan should be switched off before making this adjustment.
Please note that the head will not latch into the low or mid position unless the guard and
blade have been tted to the motor.
Follow these instructions to correctly and safely care for your table fan. Please remember:
• Always unplug the fan before cleaning or disassembling.
• Do not allow water to drip on or into the Fan Motor Housing.
• Do not use any of the following as a cleaner: gasoline, thinner, benzene (See instructions
for fan head assembly).
1. To access the Fan Blade, remove the Front Grill and the Fan Blade Nut.
2. Clean the Fan Blade, both Front and Rear Grills with a soft cloth moistened with a mild
soap solution.
3. Replace Blade, tighten the Fan Blade Nut, and securely fasten the Front Grill.
FAN HEAD AND BASE CLEANING
Using a soft, moist cloth, with or without a mild soap solution, carefully clean the Fan Base
and Head. Please use caution around the Motor Housing area. Do not allow the motor or
other electrical components to be exposed to water.
FAN STORAGE
When storing your fan in the off season, it is important to keep it in a safe dry location. It is
important to protect the fan head from dust. WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND USING THE
ORIGINAL BOX FROM PURCHASE.

PRECAUCIONES IMPORTANTES
Para disminuir el riesgo de incendio, descarga eléctrica y lesiones personales, se deben
seguir siempre las precauciones básicas de seguridad al utilizar artefactos eléctricos.

• Utilice el ventilador solo para los nes que se describen en el manual de instrucciones.
• Para protegerse contra descargas eléctricas, no sumerja la unidad, el enchufe ni el cable
en agua, ni en ningún otro líquido. Enchufe el electrodoméstico directamente en un
tomacorriente.
• Desconéctelo del tomacorriente cuando no esté en funcionamiento, cuando vaya a
trasladar el ventilador de un lugar a otro, antes de colocar o quitarle piezas y antes de
limpiarlo.
• Evite el contacto con piezas en movimiento.
• No haga funcionar en presencia de gases explosivos o inamables.
• Para evitar riesgos de incendios, NUNCA coloque el cable por debajo de alfombras, ni
coloque ninguna de sus piezas cerca de llamas vivas, artefactos de cocina, ni de ningún
otro electrodoméstico que despida calor.
• No utilice un electrodoméstico que tenga un cable o un enchufe dañado, o después
de que el artefacto haya presentado fallas, se haya caído o haya sufrido cualquier otro
daño. Llévelo a un Centro de Servicio Autorizado para su inspección o reparación.
• El uso de accesorios no recomendados o vendidos por el fabricante del artefacto
eléctrico puede ocasionar peligros o lesiones.
• No utilice al aire libre. No permita que el cable cuelgue del borde de una mesa o
mesada, ni que entre en contacto con supercies calientes o quede expuesto en áreas
muy concurridas.
• Para desconectar, sujete el enchufe y sáquelo del tomacorriente. Nunca lo hale por el
cable.
• Coloque siempre sobre una supercie seca y nivelada.
• No haga funcionar el ventilador hasta que esté completamente ensamblado y con todas
las piezas colocadas en su lugar correspondiente.
• Este producto está destinado ÚNICAMENTE para uso doméstico, no para aplicaciones
comerciales o industriales.
• Este artefacto eléctrico no está destinado para ser usado por personas (incluyendo
niños) cuyas capacidades físicas, sensoriales o mentales estén disminuidas, o carezcan
de experiencia y conocimiento, a menos que una persona responsable por su seguridad
les haya supervisado o instruido en el uso de este electrodoméstico. Los niños deberán
estar bajo supervisión para cerciorarse de que no jueguen con el artefacto eléctrico.
• Se requiere estricta supervisión cuando las personas discapacitadas o los niños utilicen

INSTRUCCIONES DE OPERACIÓN
ANTES DE UTILIZAR SU VENTILADOR DE MESA POR PRIMERA VEZ
Lea y siga todas las instrucciones de operación y seleccione un lugar para conservar este
manual de instrucciones listo para referencia futura.
Para su conveniencia, escriba el número de modelo completo (ubicado en la parte inferior
del motor) y la fecha en que usted recibió el producto, junto con el recibo de compra y
préndalo en la información de servicio y garantía. Guárdelo en caso de que sea necesario
obtener servicio bajo garantía.
NOTA: El uso de dispositivos no recomendados o vendidos por Sunbeam Products, Inc.
podrían causar un incendio, descarga eléctrica, lesiones o daños al producto.
INSTRUCCIONES PARA ENSAMBLAR
1. Retire el tornillo de mariposa de la parte inferior del conjunto del motor (gírelo en el
sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj). Luego, je el conjunto del motor en el oricio
de la base hasta que encaje a presión. Asegúrese de alinear la ranura del conjunto del
motor con la ranura de la base. Apriete el tornillo de mariposa en la parte inferior de la
base (gírelo en el sentido de las agujas del reloj).
2. Retire la tuerca de retención de la rejilla (gírela en el sentido contrario a las agujas del
reloj) mientras sostiene la carcasa del motor. Quite el manguito protector del eje del
motor, si se incluye, y deséchelo.
3. Ajuste la rejilla posterior en la posición adecuada (con la manilla de transporte hacia
arriba) en el conjunto del motor, con las aberturas verticales en la parte superior e
inferior ajustadas sobre las ranuras. Luego, atornille la tuerca de retención de la rejilla
(gírela en el sentido de las agujas del reloj) hasta que esté apretada.
4. Instale las aspas en el eje del conjunto del motor y atornille la tuerca de retención de
las aspas (gírela en el sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj mientras arma las aspas)
hasta que esté apretada. Asegúrese de que las aspas del ventilador se apoyen en el
vástago del eje del motor.
5. Suelte los cuatro sujetadores de la rejilla delantera. Coloque la rejilla delantera sobre
la rejilla posterior con el logotipo de Oster® en posición vertical. Encaje todos los
sujetadores en su lugar.

INSTRUCCIONES PARA EL FUNCIONAMIENTO
1. Una vez que la unidad esté completamente ensamblada (consulte la sección de
Instrucciones para ensamblar) coloque la unidad en una supercie plana y nivelada, y
enchúfela en un tomacorriente adecuado.
2. Mueva la perilla de velocidad para seleccionar la velocidad deseada del ventilador o
para apagarlo: “ ” para APAGADO, “ ” para velocidad baja, “ ” para velocidad media
y “ ” para velocidad alta (consulte la Figura 1).
3. Para hacer que el cabezal del ventilador oscile, oprima la perilla de oscilación. Para
detener la oscilación, hale la perilla de oscilación (ver Figura 1).
4. Ajuste la inclinación del cabezal del ventilador al ángulo deseado tirando levemente del
protector del ventilador hacia arriba o hacia abajo mientras sujeta el ventilador por el
conjunto del motor y panel de control.
PRECAUCIÓN: se debe apagar el ventilador antes de realizar este ajuste.
Tenga en cuenta que el cabezal no se mantendrá en la posición baja o media a menos
que el protector y las aspas estén jadas al motor.
Siga las siguientes instrucciones para un correcto y seguro cuidado de su ventilador de
mesa, por favor recuerde:
• Siempre desenchufe el ventilador antes de limpiarlo o desarmarlo.
• No permita que gotee agua en la caja del ventilador.
• No utilice ninguno de los siguientes productos como limpiadores: gasolina, disolvente,
bencina.
(Vea las instrucciones para ensamblar el cabezal del ventilador)
1. Para tener acceso a las aspas del ventilador, remueva la rejilla frontal y la tuerca para
montar las aspas del ventilador.
2. Asegúrese de utilizar una toalla suave y humectada con una solución de jabón delicada.
3. Vuelva a colocar en su lugar las aspas, apriete la tuerca para montar y asegure
rápidamente la rejilla frontal.
LIMPIEZA DEL CABEZAL Y LA BASE
Utilizando una toalla suave y humectada, con o sin una solución de jabón delicada,
cuidadosamente limpie la base y el cabezal del ventilador. Por favor tenga cuidado
alrededor del área de la caja del motor. No permita que el motor o cualquier otro
componente eléctrico estén expuestos al agua.
ALMACENAJE
Cuando desee guardar su ventilador de mesa es importante mantenerlo en un sitio seguro y
seco. Es importante proteger del polvo el cabezal del ventilador.
RECOMENDAMOS EN GRAN MANERA UTILIZAR LA CAJA ORIGINAL DEL PRODUCTO.

Sunbeam Products, Inc. and its afliates and its subsidiaries warrant that for a period of
ONE year from the date of purchase, this product will be free from defects in material and
workmanship. Sunbeam Products, Inc. and its afliates and its subsidiaries at its choice
will repair this product or any component of the product found to be defective during the
warranty period.
This warranty is valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of initial retail purchase
and is not transferable (Not applicable for Mexico). For this warranty to be honored it will be
necessary to present the product, the purchase receipt (except Mexico and Venezuela) and
this policy lled out, sealed and dated by the retailer who sold the product, in any Authorized
Service Center listed in this certicate.
Oster® dealers, Authorized Oster® Service Centers, or retail stores selling Oster®products
do not have the right to alter, modify, or any way change the terms and conditions of
this warranty. It includes the repair or free replacement of any faulty accessory, part or
component and the labor required to check, diagnose and repair the product. It also includes
any expenses related to the transportation of the product needed to fulll this policy from the
date it is received within the Network of Authorized Service Centers. This certicate is only
effective to the USER as long as the appliance is used for HOUSEHOLD USE only.
Sunbeam Products, Inc. and its afliates and its subsidiaries will not cover under warranty
the following cases:
Applicable to Latin America:
a) If product was used in any manner other than the intended one.
b) If product has not been used according to the instruction manual included with the
product.
c) If product was altered or repaired by anyone other than those authorized by the national
manufacturer, importer or respective merchant.
Applicable to Central and South America:
d) Use of incorrect current or voltage or faulty electric power supply.
e) Normal wear and tear of parts and accessories resulting from regular use.
f) Damages resulting from transportation or handling of appliance.
g) Glass containers, light bulbs and accessories.
h) Industrial or commercial use of appliance.
The authorized Oster® service centers will continue at your disposal to grant you the service
you deserve with the trust of the Oster® brand.
