9. Input mode
Reset function (to reference value)
•Press key to set the display to the reference
value.
Precondition: in programming mode menu point
(SEt_F) must be programmed as 'Ein'. Display MA55
must not be in programming mode (see chapter 7
'To leave programming mode').
Incremental measurement function
For switching on, press the two arrow-keys +
simultaneously.
•Display is zeroed.
•Decimal point is blinking.
•Leave incremental measurement function by
another press of the keys + ; now the absolute
measuring value is displayed again.
Precondition: in programming mode menu point
(rEL_F) must be programmed as 'Ein'. Display MA55
must not be in programming mode (see chapter 7
'To leave programming mode').
Reference value modification
Press the two keys + simultaneously to enter
a new value.
The display shows the reference value, which can be
changed via the two arrow keys.
Press key to store the new value.
If no key has been pressed for approx. 30 s or if you
press again key , MA55 will return to display
mode.
Precondition: Parameter 'reference value input
enable' (rEF_F) respectively must be programmed to
"Ein" in programming mode. Display MA55 must not
be in programming mode (see chapter 7 'To leave
programming mode').
10. Referencing
The display must always be referenced:
•before the first use of the measuring system.
•in case of a displacement during power failure.
During reference the counter is set to the program-
med reference value. The display can thus be
zeroed, if reference value were previously program-
med to 0.
10.1 Manual referencing
Manual reference can either be made by:
•or by pressing key .
