Thank you for purchasing this UFO ight source/ uminaire.
To ensure that the ight source is set up optima y and gives a ong service ife, p ease read this
user guide before insta ing, operating or performing any maintenance on the unit.
P ease keep this User Guide for future reference. This User Guide is aid out in three sections

IMPORTANT
This product must be insta ed in accordance with the app icab e insta ation code, by a person
fami iar with the construction and operation of the product, and the hazards invo ved.
These ight sources are not mains dimmab e.
The LED array in this ight source is not rep aceab e. When it reaches end of ife the who e unit
must be rep aced.
Type Y Attachment: If the externa f exib e cab e or cord of this uminaire or associated
PSU/driver is damaged, it sha be exc usive y rep aced by the manufacturer or his service agent
or a simi ar qua ified person to avoid a hazard.
Location: Do not ocate this ight source c oser than 200mm from any f ammab e surface.
C earance / Venti ation: It is imperative that a gap of 200mm is e around the unit. This is to
a ow air to circu ate and prevent overheating. The ocation must have free venti ation and must
not have an ambient temperature higher than that specified for the uminaire.
Mounting: This uminaire comes with an integra mounting p ate for securing the unit to a
vertica or horizonta surface. Refer to the instruction sheet supp ied with the p ate.
Warning: Never ook direct y at the uminaire through the fibre port of the ight source.
Warning: The uminaire shou d be positioned so that pro onged staring into the
uminaire at a distance c oser than 2.7 metres is not expected.

This uminaire is powered by a 12V Power Supp y Unit or 12V Constant Vo tage Driver. Remove
the PSU/driver from its box. Connect the jack p ug into the socket in the back, and the ight
source is now ready for connection.

This uminaire supp ied with a separate mounting p ate. If using the mounting p ate refer to the
fitting instructions supp ied with it.
MOUNTING

There are 2 connections required - the fibre port and the mains supp y. The fibre port shou d be
connected first. Connect and secure the fibre optic connector into the front of the unit and
secure using the M5 ocking screw.
P ug the mains p ug into the e ectrica supp y socket. Switch on the power, the LED indicator
wi i uminate, and the ight source wi start up automatica y. If no ight is produced consu t
the troub eshooting section.

With The ight source powered up as described
above, remove the rear cover on the remote contro
unit. Taking care not to touch any of the front
buttons, insert the batteries.
If you touch the remote contro buttons when
inserting the batteries it WILL effect the operation of
your remote contro . If you do accidenta y touch any
of the buttons, remove the batteries and start again.
Once the batteries are inserted do not use the
remote contro for 3 seconds.
BATTERIES
The remote contro unit is matched with the ight source at the factory.
If the remote contro is not matched or an additiona or rep acement remote contro is required
carry out the “Matching Remote to Light Source” instructions as detai ed ater in this guide.
If a remote contro is to be removed from contro of a ight source carry out the “Unmatching
Remote to Light Source” instructions as detai ed ater in this guide.

MATCHING REMOTE CONTROL UNIT TO LIGHT SOURCE
Remove the power p ug from the rear of the Light Source, then
rep ace and touch button 5 within 3 seconds, the Light Source
wi “b ink” twice s ow y indicating that the Remote Contro er
is matched to the Light Source.
UNMATCHING REMOTE CONTROL UNIT FROM LIGHT SOURCE
Remove the power p ug from the rear of the Light Source, then
rep ace and touch and ho d button 5 within 3 seconds and the
Light Source wi “b ink” 9 times indicating that the Remote
Contro er is unmatched from the Light Source.
Note:
More than one Light Source contro ed by one Remote Contro er wi
eventua y run out of sync with each other (co our cyc e mismatch)

REMOTE CONTROL MODES AND FUNCTIONS
Mode Buttons – Do not work in a oop, i.e. touching the mode+ button wi not eventua y bring
you back to mode 1. To revert to mode 1, either touch mode – button repeated y to step back
up through the mode numbers, or touch co our ring then mode+
Co our Ring –The co our ring can be used to se ect individua co ours by touching the ring
and s iding your finger around the ring,
Brightness – brightness can be increased or reduced in any mode using buttons 6 & 7
Cyc e Speed – speed of co our cyc ing in modes 3 to 14 can be adjusted using buttons 5 & 8

REMOTE RANGE WALK TEST
Once the ight source is fu y insta ed carry out a comp ete range wa k test and record the range
in the tab e be ow.
This information is essentia for maintenance purposes to determine if the range/sensitivity is
reducing and a so to record dead areas within the remote contro units range due to RF
obstructions and/or RF interference.
Note: Where a ight source has more than one remote contro , reduction in operating range may
be experienced when both (or mu tip e) remote contro s are used simu taneous y.

To disab e the remote and revert to manua operation press one of the buttons on the rear of
the ight source. The ight source wi now respond to manua commands from the 2 contro
buttons as described be ow.
The ight source has 2 co our cyc es, each with 3 different speed settings, the co ours are
detai ed in the tab e be ow:

The ight source is contro ed using the 2 push buttons on the rear of the unit.
The ower button stops and starts the co our cyc e.
The upper button is used to se ect the cyc e speed as fo ows:
Push the upper button repeated y unti the co our white is disp ayed. The ight source is now in
Cyc e 1 Speed A as detai ed in the tab e be ow. Each push reduces the speed. On the third push,
the co our red wi be disp ayed. The ight source is now in Cyc e 2 Speed A.
At any time the cyc e can be stopped on a co our and started again using the ower push
button.
To disab e manua operation and revert to remote contro operation, recyc e the power to
the ight source. The remote contro unit may need to be matched to the ight source as
detai ed on page 5.

The MicroLED 4000 is programmed as a Master unit and is capab e of inter inking to and
contro ing MicroLED S ave Light Sources using a RJ45 cab e inking the two. In this Master
/S ave configuration the S ave Light Source wi fo ow the Master Light Source. The MicroLED
4000 Master Light Source, cannot be contro ed by a remote DMX contro er.
For the MicroLED 4000, remote DMX s ave contro can on y be achieved with MicroLED 2000
or MicroLED 4000 S ave Light Sources. See MicroLED 2000 or MicroLED 4000 S ave User Guides
for DMX wiring connections
