1 Overview
Inspection of fiber optic interconnects is essential for the optimal performance and longevity of fiber optic
networks. Every time they are handled, fiber connectors must be inspected to ensure no debris or damage is
present. VIAVI has made this critical task easier than ever with the FVAm™ Series Benchtop MPO Autofocus
Microscope.
FVAm microscopes provide standalone operation using magnetic adapters that support a range of fiber optic
connectors. Available with or without a color LCD touchscreen display module, FVAm microscopes interface with
the FiberChekPRO™ Automated Fiber Inspection and Analysis software to provide reliable maintenance of optical
connector quality.

Overview FiberChekPRO Fiber Inspection and Analysis software
FiberChekPRO Fiber Inspection and Analysis software
FiberChekPRO software is designed to operate on a PC/laptop. It instantly captures, analyzes, and grades fiber
end-face images to determine acceptability of the end faces.
FiberChekPRO identifies and characterizes defects and contamination, and then provides a pass or fail result
according to a preconfigured failure criteria setting. In addition, users can create customized optical settings,
connector definitions, and analysis profiles, as well as archive data and generate reports.
