Installation and Use Requirements (See Diagram on Next Page)
- In order to ensure accuracy in temp. measurement, the recomended ambient temp. is
50~95°F (10~35°C), and the infrared light should be turned off during temp. measurement.
- The VTC-TNB5TH can be used independently, but will provide greater accuracy when used
with the blackbody callibration device, VT-BB501 (sold separately).
- The VTC-TNB5TH should be used in a stable, wind-free indoor environment. Make sure the
monitoring field is far away from any objects that could produce airflow, high temp. or reflection.
- Avoid installation near a door or an air conditioner, or any place in direct sunshine.
- The recommended monitoring distance is 2~6m 6’7”~19’8”. To monitor an aisle, the best
temperature measurement distance is 6’7”~13’9” (2~4M).
- Set up a 1-way temp. measuring zone and make sure the camera can clearly see subjects’
faces.
- The VTC-TNB5TH requires 20-30 minutes after powering up to give steady readings.
- It is recommended to use DC 12V power supply to reduce power consumption.
- If the VT-BB501 is used with the camera, it should be installed 6’7”~9’9” (2-3M) away from
the camera. It cannot be blocked. During operation, do not move the camera or black body
callibration device, and make sure the VT-BB501 is positioned in a proper place within
the camera image.
