4� The validity of the Bloom Report relies on the correctness
of your answers. Once submitted, the answers cannot be
changed.
5� Do not perform multiple Bloom Tests at the same time. Do not
use the Bloom Test in an environment with high humidity, such
as the bathroom�
6� Do not use the Bloom Test, if its packaging or any of its compo-
nents are damaged or show signs of tampering, malfunction-
ing, being broken, defective, or contaminated.
7� Do not attempt to modify, deconstruct, damage, or tamper
with any elements of the Bloom System as this can result in
malfunction and will void the support service and product’s
warranty�
8. The Bloom System should not be used with any hardware or
software that is not manufactured or developed by Bloom
Diagnostics for the explicit purpose of being used with the
Bloom System. This includes using generic power cables and
uncertied or generic test strips.
9� The Bloom Lab and entire Bloom System should only be pur-
chased from authorized retailers and never second-hand.
10� This device may be used by people with reduced mental capa-
bilities provided that they are supervised and are fully aware of
the subsequent risks of use.
3.2. Limitations of use and contraindications
1� Do not take this test if you are under 18 years of age, if you are,
or may be, pregnant�
2� The test result can be inuenced by physiological or
pathological factors, which might compromise the interpreta-
tion of the test result�
3� Ferritin levels can be aected by inammation, such as a
present infection or an acute event, such as a recent heart
attack or surgery. Liver disease and chronic conditions, such
as autoimmune disease, can inuence the result and might
compromise its interpretation�
4� Other factors such as age, menopause status, diet and medica-
tion/supplementation intake can inuence your test result.
4. Operating steps
Always follow the Bloom System’s operating steps in a sequential order.
Caution: When using a Bloom Test containing ve tests:
• Keep the test packaging until you have performed all ve tests,
in order to initiate a test.
• Ensure the test kit is only handled by one individual.
4.1. Preparation
Before you start, ensure that you have:
• checked the use-by-date has not been exceeded (located on
the package in the format YYYY-MM-DD), Do not use an expired
Bloom Test;
• a smartphone with a working internet connection and the Bloom
App installed;
• a working Bloom Lab, set up according to its instructions for use;
• checked the Bloom Ferritin Test package components for
completeness and damage;
• a clean, stable workspace and are seated while carrying out the test.
Step 1: Connect Bloom App and Bloom Lab
1� Log in to the Bloom App and tap on the “+” button in the menu
bar to initiate a new test�
2� Swipe the phone across the light ring of the Bloom Lab to
connect�

Step 2: Register the Bloom Test
1� Open the Bloom Test packaging.
2� Swipe the phone across the lid of the Bloom Test packaging to
register. Or register manually, by entering its serial number,
which is indicated on the bottom of the packaging with “SN”.
4.2. Blood sample collection
Caution: All blood samples should be treated as potentially
infectious. Prevent the contamination of surfaces by performing
the blood sample collection over a removable surface, such as a
paper sheet or the opened Bloom Test packaging.
Warning
The accuracy of the test result heavily relies on the
correct collection of the blood sample. After register-
ing the Bloom Ferritin Test, follow all instructions with
utmost care.
Step 1: Select and disinfect the nger
1� Warm up hands by washing them with warm water or rubbing
them together. This will improve the blood ow.
2� Select and disinfect the middle or ring nger using the provid-
ed alcohol wipe.
