1. Using this operating manual
This operating manual is an integral part of the product.
BOWA-electronic GmbH & Co. KG shall assume no liability nor
provide any warranty whatsoever for damage and
consequential damage that may arise due to non-compliance
with this operating manual.
Read the operating manual carefully and thoroughly before
using this product.
Please keep this manual in a safe place for future
reference during the product’s lifetime.
If sold or given away, please ensure the manual is kept
with the product, so that the new owner/user may benefit
from the advice contained within it.
Always update the operating manual whenever you
receive additional information from the manufacturer.

2. Intended use
The COMFORT BOX is used to read the counter of BOWA
COMFORT instruments.
Any other use of the COMFORT BOX is neither intended nor
proper and must be prevented.
3. Operation
1. Place the COMFORT BOX on a platform.
2. Insert the plug of the supplied power supply unit into the
power supply socket 5at the COMFORT BOX.
Only use the supplied power supply unit to prevent
damage to the COMFORT BOX.
3. Switch on the COMFORT BOX at the On/Off switch 4
on the rear.
The BOWA logo appears on display 1.
4. Plug a monopolar connection cable into the monopolar
socket 2.
– or –
Plug a bipolar connection cable into the bipolar socket 3.
The COMFORT BOX confirms the correct connection
process via an acoustic signal.
The current parameters of the COMFORT instrument are
displayed.

•Batch number (LOT)
•Remaining uses

If there are any remaining uses of the instrument, "OK" is
shown on display 1.

If there are no more remaining uses, “max. uses exceeded” is
shown on display 1.

5. The instrument can now be removed.
6. Reconnect a connection cable to the socket.

Complete the check process and switch off the instrument
at the On/Off switch 4on the rear.
Disconnect the COMFORT BOX from the power supply by
removing the plug of the power supply socket 5.
