Upgrading GreenFeed
for Mobile App Use
You will need:
1) #2 Philips Screwdriver
2) #1 Philips Screwdriver
3) 5/32nd Allen Screwdriver
4) A Plastic Bag (large enough to fit around the food drop nozzle)
5) Sticky Tape (scotch, masking, electrical, or duct)
6) Scissors or side-cutters (to cut zip ties)
7) All the Contents of the Package
Highly Recommended
1) Flashlight
Shut Off GreenFeed
•Put the unit to sleep – From the main status
screen, press SLEEP, then press ENTER to put
the unit to sleep.
•Wait for data to upload – then press the
“PWROFF” button
•Wait 10 seconds, then unplug main power
from the unit.
Use the 5/32nd Allen Screwdriver to
Remove the Dish Bolts
Unscrew and Unclip the Tracer Nozzle
Remove the Food Dish
You may need a flat-blade screwdriver
to pry the dish above the plastic lip
Remove the Tray and Cover the Food Nozzle
Plastic Bag
Unscrew the 6 Plastic Screws and Remove the Box Lid
Unplug the USB and Ethernet Cables
Remove the BeagleBone
The board is friction-fit onto the board.
The easiest way to remove it is to place
your fingers/thumb on the top and bottom
of the board and wiggle the board back
and forth while gently pulling it up.
Orient the New BeagleBone
Once installed, the new board should have
the antennas facing the back of the box,
and the USB connector facing toward the
front of the box, as shown in this photo.
Proceed to the next page for installation of
the board.
