Safety Tips
• Position on a flat, stable surface.
• A service agent/qualified technician should carry out
installation and any repairs if required. Do not remove any
components on this product.
• Consult Local and National Standards to comply with the
following:
- Health and Safety at Work Legislation
- BS EN Codes of Practice
- Fire Precautions
- IEE Wiring Regulations
- Building Regulations
• Bottom soleplate becomes hot during operation - DO NOT
TOUCH!
• Always disconnect the appliance from the power supply before
filling the reservoir.
• DO NOT fill the reservoir with anything other than clean tap
water or distilled water.
• Always set the steam control to ‘0’ when connecting to the
power supply or filling the reservoir.
• Always switch off and disconnect the power supply to the
appliance when not in use.
• Keep all packaging away from children. Dispose of the
packaging in accordance to the regulations of local authorities.
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a
Caterlite agent or a recommended qualified technician in order
to avoid a hazard.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

• Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and
user maintenance shall not be made by children without
supervision.
• Danger of burns! Do not touch hot surfaces and
beware of escaping steam. Hold the appliance by its
handle only.
• The appliance must not be left unattended while it is
connected to the supply mains.
• Never open the water tank during use.
• The appliance must be used on a stable and heat-resistant
surface.
• Place the appliance on a flat, sturdy and slip-resistant surface.
• Do not use the product if the power plug, power cord or the
product itself is damaged or if the product has fallen or if
liquid escapes from the product.
• Keep the iron and its cord out of reach of children less than 8
years of age when it is energized or cooling down.
• Caterlite recommend that this appliance is PAT tested on an
annual basis to ensure the product remains safe.

Operation
Note: Before using for the first time, and with the appliance turned Off, clean
the soleplate with a damp cloth.
Filling the Reservoir
1. Disconnect the appliance from the power supply (if connected).
2. Set the steam control to ‘0’.
Note: Do not fill the reservoir beyond the ‘MAX’ level on the reservoir level
indicator.
Turning On
1. Set the temperature control to ‘0’.
2. Stand the appliance on its base.
3. Connect the appliance to the mains power supply. The power indicator turns On.
WARNING: The soleplate becomes hot very quickly. Do not touch during or
immediately after operation.

Setting the Temperature
The temperature control features three symbols to correspond with
the ironing symbols found in garments:
Once the set temperature has been reached the power indicator
light turns Off.
=Coolest
=
= Hottest
Ironing without Steam
Turn the Steam control to ‘0’.
Ironing with Steam
WARNING: Take care to avoid scalding
from the steam.
The amount of steam produced can be controlled using

1. Set the temperature control to a suitable setting.
Note: To produce steam the temperature control must be set to ‘• •’ or higher.
2. If ironing at ‘• •’ set the steam control to ‘• • •’ to avoid water leaking from the soleplate.
Spray/Steam Control
Turn the control to the required setting:
Push during ironing to produce extra steam.
Push as required to moisten an area with spray before ironing.

Cleaning, Care & Maintenance
Always turn off and disconnect the appliance
from the power supply before cleaning.
• Use a damp cloth to clean the exterior and soleplate of the
appliance.
• Always empty the reservoir after use.
• Store in an upright position.
• Periodically clean the appliance with a suitable descaling
solution.
• Dry thoroughly after cleaning.

Electrical Wiring
This appliance is supplied with a 3 pin, moulded, BS1363 plug and lead, with a 13 amp fuse as standard.
The plug is to be connected to a suitable mains socket.
This appliance is wired as follows:
• Live wire (coloured brown) to terminal marked L
• Neutral wire (coloured blue) to terminal marked N
• Earth wire (coloured green/yellow) to terminal marked E
This appliance must be earthed.
If in doubt consult a qualified electrician.
Electrical isolation points must be kept clear of any obstructions. In the event of any emergency
disconnection being required they must be readily accessible.

not be disposed of as household waste. To help prevent possible harm to human

Veiligheidstips
• Plaatsen op een vlakke en stabiele ondergrond.
• De installatie en eventuele reparaties zijn door een
servicetechnicus/vaktechnicus uit te voeren. Verwijder geen
componenten of servicepanelen van dit product.
• Raadpleeg en volg de plaatselijke en nationale regelgeving op
m.b.t. tot het volgende:
- Wetgeving van gezondheid en veiligheid op de werkplaats
- Werkregels
- Brandpreventie
- IEE bekabelingsnormen
- Bouwverordeningen
• De zool van het strijkijzer wordt tijdens gebruik heet - NIET
AANRAKEN!
• Haal altijd de steker van het apparaat uit het stopcontact
alvorens het reservoir te vullen.
• Vul het reservoir ALLEEN met schoon tapwater of gedistilleerd
water.
• Zet altijd de stoomregelaar op ‘0’ wanneer u de steker in het
stopcontact steekt of het reservoir wilt vullen.
• Schakel het apparaat altijd uit en haal de steker uit het
stopcontact wanneer u het apparaat niet gebruikt.
• Laat verpakkingsmateriaal niet binnen handbereik van
kinderen. Verpakkingsmateriaal in overeenstemming met
de regelgeving van de plaatselijke overheden als afval laten
verwerken.
• Indien de stroomkabel beschadigd raakt, dient men deze door
een Caterlite technicus of aanbevolen vaktechnicus te laten
vervangen om gevaarlijke situaties te verhinderen.
• Dit apparaat kan worden gebruikt door kinderen vanaf 8 jaar
en door personen met verminderde lichamelijke, zintuiglijke
of geestelijke capaciteiten of weinig ervaring en kennis, mits
zij toezicht of instructie hebben ontvangen aangaande veilig
gebruik van het apparaat, en zij de gevaren van het gebruik
begrijpen.

• Kinderen mogen niet met het product spelen. Reiniging en
onderhoud voor het gebruik mag niet worden uitgevoerd door
kinderen, tenzij zij onder toezicht staan.
• Gevaar op brandwonden! Raak de hete oppervlakken
niet aan en let op voor vrijgegeven stoom. Houd het
apparaat alleen bij het handvat vast.
• Het strijkijzer mag niet onbeheerd worden gelaten als het is
verbonden met het stopcontact.
• Open nooit de watertank tijdens het gebruik.
• Dit apparaat dient te worden gebruikt op een stabiel en
hittebestendig oppervlak.
• Plaats het apparaat op een vlak, stevig en antislip oppervlak.
• Gebruik het apparaat niet als het netsnoer, de stekker of het
apparaat zelf beschadigd is, of als het apparaat gevallen is of
lekt.
• Houd het strijkijzer en het netsnoer uit de buurt van kinderen
die jonger zijn als 8 jaar wanneer het ingeschakeld is of
afkoelt.
• Caterlite beveelt aan dat dit apparaat jaarlijks PAT getest
wordt om ervoor te zorgen het product veilig blijft.

Bediening
Opmerking: alvorens het apparaat voor de eerste keer te gebruiken en met
het apparaat uitgeschakeld, dient u eerst de zool van het strijkijzer met een
vochtige doek te reinigen.
Het reservoir vullen
1. Haal de steker van het apparaat uit het stopcontact (indien aangesloten).
2. Zet de stoomregelaar op ‘0’.
Opmerking: vul het reservoir nooit met water boven de ‘MAX’-markering van de
waterindicator.
Inschakelen
1. Zet de temperatuurregelaar op ‘0’.
2. Plaats het apparaat op de basis.
3. Steek de steker van het apparaat in het stopcontact. Het stroomlampje gaat aan.
WAARSCHUWING: de zool van het strijkijzer wordt snel heel erg heet. Tijdens
of direct na gebruik niet aanraken.
