INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing General Tools & Instruments’ M 905
Deep Wall Moisture robe for General's MMD900, MMD950 or
MMD950W Deep Sensing Moisture Meter. lease read this user’s
manual carefully and thoroughly before using the product.
The M 905 extends the measurement depth of the instruments to
5 inches—the length of the M 905’s twin probes. Like the pins on
any pin-type moisture meter, the twin probes sense the resistance
between them and convert that resistance to a voltage. Circuits
inside the Deep Sensing Moisture Meter read that voltage as a
proxy for the moisture level of the underlying wood or building
material.
