I.
A. Install the Sensor Plug into the Sensor Input Socket
1. The at arrow side of the sensor input socket faces down
and the arrow points towards the PAN-750 when install-
ing.
2. If the sensor input socket does not easily slide into the
sensor plug, look at the direcon of the arrow and try
again.
DO NOT FORCE THE INPUT INTO THE PLUG
B. Push the to enable the instrument to power ON
1. Gently press the Buon approximately one second. Unit will warm up approximately
5 seconds. Unit is ready to funcon when the temperature and velocity is indicated, allow 20
seconds for unit to take a reading.
2. Do not press hard.
C. Press the key to convert the reading to the desired Cengrade/Fahrenheit scale.
1. Both temperature and air velocity will display simultaneously.
D. Press the key. The display will show the unit of “m/s”, “km/h”, /min, “knots” or “mile/hr”.
These are as follows:
= meters per second
= feet per minute
= miles per hour
= kilometer per hour
= naucal miles per hour (internaonal knot)
The units printed on the keypad under the unit buon DO correspond to the units on the display,
however the sequence of units (order in which they appear on the display) is not as listed on the
keypad. The rst unit that is displayed when the meter is powered up is m/sec, however, when the
units buon is pressed, the next units displayed are km/hour.
II.
A. To start the Data Record funcon, Press the key once. The marker appears on the dis-
play to the le of the temperature indicator.
1. With the marker on the display, push the Recall key once. The marker along with the

maximum values will appear on the LCD display next to
the marker.
2. Push the Recall key once, the marker along with
the minimum values will appear on the LCD display un-
der where the marker was.
3. Push the Recall key once, the AVG marker along with
the average values will appear on the LCD display under
the marker.
B. To end the funcon, simply push the key
once again and the record funcon will stop. The , ,
and AVG markers will disappear from the LCD display.
III.
A. Press the key and a appears on the display in the upper le side of the display.
1. The current reading is now being held and will not change unl Hold funcon is canceled by
pressing the key again.
B. Press the buon to cancel the Hold funcon. The will disappear from the LCD display.
IV.
A. Measuring an Ionizer
1. Install the Sensor Plug into the Sensor Input Socket as previously described.
2. The at arrow side of the sensor input socket faces down and the arrow points towards the
PAN-750 when installing.

Typically, ionizers are measured in feet per minute (/min)
E. Turn the ionizer on for 30 minutes to warm up prior to aempng to measure the ionizer air ow.
1. The heater should be if the ionizer to be measured is so equipped.
2. All lters should be in place is the ionizer is so equipped.
F. Hold the sensor head vane parallel to, and in the center of, the ionizer stream.

G. To automacally record measurements, engage the record feature as outlined in
H. Record measurements for 2 - 3 minutes
V.
A. This unit will automacally turn itself o aer 10 minutes if no funcon keys are pressed within
this period of me.

1. To override the Auto Power O funcon, during measurement, press the key to ex-
ecute the memory record funcon. The unit will not automacally turn itself o while in the
record funcon.
VI.
A. It may be necessary to adjust the display contrast because of a change in the viewing angle or bat-
tery power voltage dri.
1. To adjust the contrast, remove the instrument from the rubber holster, and with your nger
roll the knob unl the LCD display is easily read.
2. Aer adjusng, replace the unit back into the rubber holster for protecon.
VII.
A. When the le corner of the LCD display shows , it indicates a normal baery output of less
than 6.5V - 7.5V. It is necessary to replace the baery. When you see the display, an in-spec
measurement may sll be made for several hours aer the low baery indicator appears before
the instrument becomes inaccurate.
1. To replace the baery, remove the unit from the rubber
holster.
2. Pry the Baery Cover open with a coin or screwdriver
and remove the baery.
3. Replace with a 9V baery (heavy duty type) and re-
place the baery cover.
4. Make sure the baery cover is secured aer changing
the baery.
5. Place the unit back into the rubber holster for protec-
on.
