Theneedtomaintainthecorrecttirepressureseemsself-evident,butinreality
thetirepressureischeckedfartooinfrequently.Timepressure,inattention
andcomplacencyaresomeofthereasonsforthis.Anofcialstudyhasfound
thatmorethan30%ofalltruckbreakdownsarecausedbytireissues.Further
studieshaveshownthateven15%over-orunder-inationcanreducethelifeof
atirebymorethan10%.
