Maintenance
Apart from cleaning the outside of the luminaire, no special maintenance is necessary.
Luminaire should be discarded in case the supply cable is damaged.

Installation Methods
Important: The luminaire is factory-sealed and does
not need to be opened during installation.
Ensure that proper drainage is provided for the shown
installation methods.
For proper installation use the supplied installation
blockout.
Please note the following installation possibilities:
1) In landscape areas, sand with gravel base (Fig. I).
2) In paved areas, concrete with gravel base (Fig. II).

Installation
The product must be installed and maintained by a
suitably qualified person in compliance with the latest
applicable regulations and relevant legislation.
When selecting the correct location for the luminaire,
it is important to remember that the lens will reach a
high temperature during operation.
The minimum distance of an object to be illuminated
must be observed (see illustration ------minside
luminaire).
Ensure the luminaire and lens is clear of dirt and
debris.
Claims based on defects attributable to improper
installation, application, operation and/or any modi-
fication carried out by the purchaser or third parties,
and the consequences thereof, are excluded.

Phase One
Blockout Installation Procedure
(during earth or masonry work)
1) A suitable recess to be provided to accommodate
installation blockout/mounting ring assembly B/M.
2) Set installation blockout/mounting ring assembly
B/M in position and ensure that:
a) Arrow Ron mounting ring Mis pointed towards
the object to be illuminated (wall, tree, column).
b) Mounting ring Mis flush with surface. If the
floor will be tiled or paved afterwards leave an
appropriate gap.
c) Mains supply cable(s) Ois of sufficient length to
connect the sealable junction box Jwith the cable
Efrom luminaire.
3) During ongoing earth and/or masonry works, do
not remove the two stickers on fixing thread holes
D. Ensure that installation blockout/mounting ring
assembly B/M is not damaged and has maintained
its original shape. If necessary use a cover plate.
Phase Two
Luminaire Installation and Electrical Connection
4) Switch off mains electrical supply.
5) Check that rating shown on luminaire label con-
forms with mains electrical supply.
6) Terminate cable Efrom luminaire housing Aand
mains supply cable O(for individual wiring) or
branch cable (for through wiring) in sealable junc-
tion box Jto connect cable(s). Follow the sealable
junction box termination instruction included in the
packaging.
7) Peel-off the two stickers on fixing thread holes D.
Set cables and sealable junction box Jinside the
installation blockout/mounting ring assembly B/M.
Caution: When the luminaire is placed inside the
installation blockout B, make sure that there is no
stress on the sealable junction box Jor electric
cables (Fig. lll).
8) Loosen the two countersunk screws C (do not twist
out). Insert mounting lever Lbetween head of
countersunk screws C and cover lens. Lift luminaire
housing Ainto installation blockout/mounting ring
assembly B/M(Fig. IV) while aligning holes Don
mounting ring M.
9) Tighten both countersunk screws C 'hand tight'.
