Installation
The luminaire should be installed and maintained by a
suitably qualified person in compliance with the latest con-
struction and electrical regulations and relevant legislation.
The luminaire should not get covered partly or complete.
Dirt on the lens has to get removed.
Do not open the luminaire in humid conditions or during rain.
This will result in condensation forming inside the luminaire.

Installation Methods with BET
Ensure that proper drainage is provided for installation
methods no. 2 and no. 4.

Installation
Montage und Wartung darf nur von geschultem Fachper-
sonal mit entsprechender beruflicher Qualifikation in Über-
einstimmung mit den neuesten elektrischen Installations-
und Sicherheitsvorschriften durchgeführt werden.
Die Leuchte darf nicht ganz oder teilweise abgedeckt wer-
den. Verschmutzungen der Abdeckung sind zu entfernen.
Ein Öffnen und Verschließen der Leuchte bei Regen oder
hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit ist aus Gründen der Kondenswasser-
bildung zu vermeiden.

Einbauvarianten mit BET
Es ist für eine ausreichende Drainage, zum Beispiel durch
ein Kiesbett, zu sorgen.

Installation with Blockout BET
Phase One
(During earth or masonry works)
1) For the versions up to 100 W install blind rivets Sas
described in pic. 8.
2) Put the mounting ring Eon to the installation blockout
Oin that way, that the connector lock into position on
the blind rivets S.
3) A suitable recess to be provided to accomodate
installation blockout/mounting ring assembly E/O.
Proceed as follows:
a) Set in position together with supply cable(s) P.
b) Luminaire mounting ring Eto be flush with surface F
(if the floor will be tiled or paved afterwards leave an
appropriate gap), pic. 9.
c) Point arrow Rtowards the object (wall, tree, column ...)
to be illuminated.
4) During ongoing earth and/or masonry works, ensure
that installation blockout/mounting ring assembly E/O
is not damaged and maintains its original shape.
If necessary use a cover plate.
Installation mit Erdeinbautopf BET
Schritt 1
(Installation des Einbautopfes während der Tiefbau- oder
Maurerarbeiten)
1) Bei den Versionen bis 100W Treibstifte Swie in Abb. 8
gezeigt anbringen.
2) Einbauring Eso auf dem Einbautopf Oaufsetzen, dass
die Laschen auf den Treibstiften Seinrasten.
3) Zusammengesetzten Einbautopf E/Oan der dafür vorge-
sehen Stelle positionieren. Dabei ist darauf zu achten, dass:
a) das (die) Kabel Pin den Einbautopf eingeführt ist (sind).
b) der Einbauring Eso positioniert wird, dass er bündig
mit der Oberkante des Erdreiches F, Fundamentes o.ä.
abschließt (werden zu einem späterem Zeitpunkt noch
Fliesen oder Pflastersteine o.ä. verlegt, ist ein entspre-
chendes Aufmass zu berücksichtigen), Abb. 9.
c) der Pfeil Ram Einbauring Egenau auf das zu beleuch-
tende Objekt (Wand, Baum, Säule ...) gerichtet ist.
4) Während des weiteren Baufortschritts ist darauf zu
achten, dass der Einbautopf, insbesondere der Einbau-
ring, nicht beschädigt wird. Nur so kann der problemlose
Einbau der Bodeneinbauleuchte sichergestellt werden.
Ggfs. ist eine Montageabdeckung zu verwenden.

(Electrical connection, aiming)
5) Switch off mains electrical supply.
6) Check that rating shown on luminaire label conforms
with the mains electrical supply. Observe the maximum
permissible wattage in connection with BET installa-
tion blockouts (refer to table 'Installation Accessories').
7) Remove the two screws Qfrom mounting ring E.
8) Terminate wires of luminaire cable Aand mains supply
cable Pin sealable junction box C(e.g. WE-EF product
no. 185-1624). Seal junction box properly (see pic. 7).
9) Loosen the screws Kand remove cover B. Fix mounting
ring Eto luminaire by inserting two stainless screws Q
and tightening them equally.
10) Remove cover Gand lens/gasket assembly H/Iby
removing the six countersunk screws J(see pic. 7).
11) Ensure that all surfaces are clean and dry. Then remove
silca gel bag from aluminium envelope.
Place bag inside the bottom of the luminaire.
12) Fit the appropriate lamp by inserting it firmly into the
lampholder.
13) Set lens/gasket assembly H/I, cover Gand the six
countersunk screws Jin position as described. Then,
while taking all necessary precautions to ensure safety:
a) Leave the screws untightened and ignite the lamp for
approx. 30 minutes to allow any moisture to evaporate.
b) Begin tightening the countersunk screws Jin steps in
a criss-cross pattern, until all six screws are properly
seated and secured. Repeat tightening procedure, again
in a criss-cross pattern, for another two rounds with a
torque of 9 Nm.
14) Set luminaire in position while observing to avoid
stress on junction box C, cable Aand cable gland D.
15) Reposition cover Band tighten screws K.
Schritt 2
(Elektrischer Anschluss und Ausrichtung)
5) Spannungsfreiheit der Anschlussleitung herstellen.
6) Die auf der Leuchte angegebenen Werte für Spannung
und Frequenz müssen mit den örtlichen Gegebenheiten
übereinstimmen. Die maximal zulässige elektrische
Leistung der Bodeneinbauleuchte bei Einsatz in
Verbindung mit einem Einbautopf ist zu beachten.
7) Entfernen Sie die zwei Schrauben Qim Einbauring E.
8) Anschlusskabel Amit dem Erdkabel Pverbinden.
Verwenden Sie eine für diese Anwendung passende
Verbindungsmuffe C (WE-EF Artikel No. 185-1624).

9) Entfernen Sie die Abdeckhaube Bdurch Lösen der
Schrauben K. Leuchtengehäuse unter Verwendung der
zwei Schrauben Qfest mit dem Einbauring Everbinden.
10) Entfernen Sie den Abdeckring Gund die Abdeckung H
mit der Dichtung Idurch Lösen der 6 Innensechskant-
schrauben J. Abb. 7.
11) Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Leuchte innen vollkommen
trocken ist und alle Dichtflächen frei von Schmutz sind.
Öffnen Sie die mitgelieferte Aluminiumverpackung und
legen Sie den Beutel mit dem Trockenmittel an eine
passende Stelle auf den Leuchtenboden.
12) Lampe sorgfältig einsetzen. Lampenleistung und
Lampensockel müssen mit den Angaben des Leuchten-
leistungsschildes übereinstimmen.
13) Bringen Sie Linse/Abdeckung/Dichtung H/I, Abdeck-
ring Gund die sechs Innensechskantschrauben in die
beschriebene Position, während Sie die notwendigen
Vorsichtsmassnahmen einleiten:
a) Schalten Sie die Lampe ein, lassen Sie sie 30 Min. in
Betrieb und verschließen Sie die Leuchte nach Ablauf
der Zeit sorgfältig.

b) Ziehen Sie dazu die 6 Innensechskantschrauben Jüber
Kreuz in Stufen mit einem Anziehmoment von 9 Nm an.
Setzvorgänge erfordern mindestens ein einmaliges
Nachziehen der Schrauben mit dem
gleichen Anziehmoment.
14) Wenn Sie die Leuchte an der dafür vorgesehen Stelle
positionieren, ist darauf zu achten, dass kein Druck auf
die Muffe C, das Kabel Aoder die Kabelverschraubung
Dausgeübt wird.
15) Abdeckhaube Baufsetzen und mit den Schrauben K
befestigen.
Lampenwechsel und Wartung
Leuchtengehäuse nicht während des Betriebes öffnen!
1) Spannungsfreiheit der Anschlussleitung herstellen.
2) Abdeckung abnehmen und mit geeignetem
Reinigungsmittel säubern. Dichtungen auf Funktions-
fähigkeit überprüfen und gegebenenfalls austauschen.
Achtung: Bei Einsatz einer neuen Abdeckung ist in
jedem Fall auch eine neue Dichtung zu verwenden.
3) Lampe wechseln. WE-EF empfiehlt bei jedem Lampen-
wechsel auch den Austausch des Trockenmittel-Beutels.
4) Stellen Sie sicher, dass alle Dichtflächen und Gewinde
frei von Schmutz und Feuchtigkeit sind.
Der Zusammenbau der Leuchte erfolgt wie unter
Punkt 13) der Installationsanweisungen beschrieben.
5) Zur Pflege Glas regelmäßig reinigen, von Staub und
Blättern etc. befreien, um eine Überhitzung zu
vermeiden.
Für die Entsorgung der Lampe sind die zur Zeit gültigen
Umweltgesetze zu beachten.
Lamp Replacement and Maintenance
Warning: Do not open luminaire while in operation or
while mains supply is switched on!
1) Switch off the mains electrical supply.
2) Remove cover and lens/gasket assembly. Clean all seal
contact surfaces are free of dirt and humidity.
Check gasket for damage and replace if necessary.
Important: In case of damage to the lens, the complete
lens/gasket assembly must be exchanged.
3) Replace lamp.
4) Ensure that all surfaces are clean and dry. The reassem-
bly of the luminaire is done as described in the installa-
tion instruction.
5) For maintenance clean the lens regularly, remove dust
and leafs etc. to avoid overheating. It is not allowed to
put down or store anything on top of the inground
uplight.
Protect our environment: Discard used lamps in compliance
with the most recent environmental legislation.
