1.1.2 Target group
These installation and operating instructions are intended for the operator and qualified
personnel. They should be observed by all personnel working on the unit.
Work on the unit must only be carried out by personnel who have the relevant training
and instruction.
Persons with limited physical, sensory or mental capability may only work on the unit if
they are supervised or have been trained by an authorised person.
Children must not play with the unit.
1.2 Guarantee and Liability
Guarantee and liability claims for personal and equipment damage are excluded, if they
can be attributed to one or more of the following causes:
▪ Non approved application of the communication module
▪ Non-observance of the installation and operating instructions
▪ Continued use despite a fault
▪ Repairs, which have been carried out incorrectly
▪ The use of non original Weishaupt parts
▪ Force majeure

2.1 Permissible application
The WCM-COM communication module is used for monitoring, remote control, error
signalling and consumption data collection from a heating system.
2.2 Safety measures
Safety relevant defects must be rectified immediately.
2.3 Electrical connection
For all work carried out on live parts:
▪ Observe the accident prevention instruction BGV A3 and adhere to local directives
▪ Use tool in accordance with EN 60900
2.4 Disposal
Dispose of all materials used in a safe and environmentally friendly way. Observe local
regulations.

4.1 Wall mounting the WCM-COM
▶ Fit DIN rail (35 mm) to wall using fixing material.
▶ Leave right side of housing accessible for external connections (network cables).
▶ Insert locking contact c.
▶ Fit communication module to DIN rail.
▶ Connect cables (see CH. 5), close housing cover.
