5. Operation Procedure
1. Connect the machine to 220V power source according to the indication
mentioned in specifications.
Fig. 3
2. Switch on the power, the red light is on.
Fig. 4. Diagram of the control panel
for impulse sealer
3. Adjust the sealing time ac-
cording to the materials and
the thickness of the bags to
be sealed. The sealing time
should be adjusted to around
grade 1 before sealing (Fig.
3). Put the opening of the bag
into between the heat sealers,
step down the pedal (Fig. 4)
and the yellow lamp lights.
Take out the sealed bag 1~2
sec after the yellow lamp is
off.
6
If the seal is not tight enough, increase the sealing time. Check
that there are no wrinkles or creases on the sealed bag. If there
are no faults, seal bags at this sealing time and temperature.
PLEASE NOTE: The cooling time should not be too short, oth-
erwise wrinkles can appear on the seal. The longer the sealing
time is, the longer is the cooling time.

4. Never try to seal without bags. Select the sealing temperature only
experimentally. Otherwise, the Teflon cloth might be burned. If some
plastics unfortunately adheres to the Teflon cloth because of careless-
ness ,never try to scrape it off with something hard. In this case, reduce
the sealing time and seal the bag once again. Release the pedal a little
after the yellow lamp is off. It is very important to carefully remove the
bag from the Teflon cloth. The remains of the polyethylene will be
cleared from the Teflon cloth with the bag.
5. Switch off the power and unplug the machine when you finish the op-
eration.
Note:
Sealing time depends on the thickness of plastic bags, and can be determined
experimentally. Otherwise, the Teflon cloth might be damaged.
Note:
You do not have to hold foot pedal pressed. Sealing and heating parameters
are set by control knobs on the control panel (see item 3) and do not depend
on foot pedal pressing time.

6. Maintenance
1. Always keep the sealing surface clean. Otherwise the remains in the
sealing surface will shorten the life of the heater and the life of the Teflon
cloth. Never try to clean the sealing surface with wet cloth.
2. To avoid burns, never touch the heating block with hand.
3. Check the rubber in the upper pressing arm at regular intervals. After a
long period of use, it can wear and should be changed. The rubber must be
flat and straight.
4. Add lubricating oil into the moving parts at regular intervals.
5. Always check the condition of the Teflon cloth when replacing the heat-
ing element.
6. Do not disassemble the machine if there is no urgent need in it.
