■ When blending liquids, especially hot liquids, only
use a tall jug or mix smaller volumes in order to
avoid spills and splashes. Never mix hot oil or fat.
■ Never insert your fingers or any objects into the
working blender.
■ Do not use the (hand) blender for longer than one
minute at a time, as this may damage the motor.
If you wish to use the hand blender for longer, first
switch it off and leave it to cool down for at least
4 minutes.
■ This hand blender is for indoor use only.
■ Never touch moving parts. The blade is sharp!
■ In order to avoid splashes, always blend liquids in
a high sided jug and do not start the blender until
it is submersed in liquid. Do not overfill the
measuring beaker.
■ Make sure the moving parts stop moving after use.
■ Children and anyone with limited physical,
sensory or mental capacities, or a lack of
knowledge or experience, must not use the hand
blender unless supervised or instructed by an
adult responsible for their safety.
■ Children above the age of 8 years and anyone
with limited physical, sensory or mental
capacities, or a lack of knowledge or experience,
may only use the appliance when supervised or
instructed regarding the safe use and possible
dangers of this appliance, by an adult responsible
for their safety.
■ In order to protect children younger than 8 years
from the dangers of electrical appliances, never
leave them unattended with the appliance.
Choose a location for your appliance where
children cannot reach it.
Also ensure that they cannot reach the cable.
■ Children must be supervised in order to ensure
that they do not play with the hand blender/set.
■ When preparing food, make sure the blender and
blade are clean.

Use of the hand blender
The hand blender is intended for
■ blending liquids, e.g. dairy products, sauces, fruit juices, soups, drinks and
milkshakes.
■ mixing soft ingredients, such as pancake batter or mayonnaise.
■ puréeing cooked ingredients, when preparing baby food, for example.
PLEASE NOTE
Never use the hand blender to grind or break down hard or dry substances.
Add a little water when blending fruit or vegetables.
5. Cleaning
Make sure the hand blender is switched off and the appliance is unplugged
before cleaning it. The hand blender can best be cleaned directly after use by
rinsing the jug or bowl and the blade under hot water. The motor housing and
cable must only be cleaned using a damp cloth (do not immerse in water!).
To avoid damage, do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents.
The blender itself must be washed by hand. TAKE CARE! The blade is extremely
sharp, be careful when cleaning.
6. Storage
After cleaning, store the hand blender in a dry, well ventilated place. Store it
out of the reach of children in order to avoid them playing with the appliance.
7. Disposal at end of working life:
In compliance with the directives on Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment, this product must not be discarded with domestic waste but
should be disposed of separately for recycling. If you wish to dispose
of this product in the future, do NOT throw it away with the household
rubbish but hand it in at a specially designated place, such as your
municipal domestic chemical waste depot.
The packaging material should also be disposed of separately.
8. EC Declaration of Conformity
This device was designed for contact with food and was designed in
compliance with EC Directive 89/109/EEC. This device was designed,
manufactured and marketed in compliance with the following: the safety
objectives of the “Low-Voltage Directive” no. 2006/95/EC, the protective
measures of the EMC Directive 2004/108/EC “Electromagnetic Compatibility”
and the requirements of Directive 93/68/EC.
9. Quality
Safety and quality is very important to HEMA. We have our own laboratory,
which assesses all equipment in terms of electrical safety and ease of use,
before it is included in our range. HEMA also monitors the product quality in
collaboration with the manufacturer.

10. Security
This HEMA article may be fitted with a plastic anti-theft strip. You will find the
strip on the bottom of the product. This strip does not influence the quality or
the operation of the product and can be removed without a problem.
11. Faults and repairs
If this device needs to be repaired, you can hand it in at a HEMA branch after
packing the product securely. Do not try to repair this product yourself.
For repairs that fall within the warranty period, you will need to show a proof
of purchase and the warranty document. Regularly check the power cord
for damage. If there is any damage to the cord set, please return the item to
a HEMA branch for repair. Do not try to replace it yourself. For safety reasons
we recommend that you do not carry out any repairs to an electrical device
yourself.
12. Warranty conditions
We guarantee the quality.
B.V. fully guarantees the product named on the warranty receipt,
against all defects caused by material and manufacturing errors. For all
domestic electrical appliances, the warranty period is 2 years from the date
of purchase.
The warranty on this article is invalidated if:
a. the defect occurs through incorrect or improper use, neglect, connection
to the wrong power voltage, or if dropped or knocked;
b. you have attempted to repair the article yourself, or have had it repaired
by a repair service other than during the warranty period.
If you wish to make a claim under the warranty terms:
You will need to hand in the article at one of our branches together the
warranty receipt. Under normal circumstances the article will be repaired
free of charge within 14 workdays.
Extra certainty for the right choice
If, after purchasing the article, you are dissatisfied (because it is not exactly
what you expected or you already have this article), you can return the
article within 30 days of purchase, on condition that it is undamaged and in
the original packaging.
Remember that you must always bring your sales receipt.
You can either exchange the article or request a refund.
The warranty conditions apply in all countries where there are
branches.

■ Deze staafmixer is uitsluitend voor huishoudelijk
gebruik. Gebruik de staafmixer niet voor andere
doeleinden dan waarvoor deze is bedoeld, anders
kan de staafmixer verwondingen veroorzaken.
■ Voor het mixen van vloeistoffen, in het bijzonder
hete vloeistoffen, moet gebruik gemaakt worden
van een hoge houder of moeten kleine
hoeveelheden tegelijk worden aangemaakt om
morsen en spatten te voorkomen. Mix nooit hete
olie of vet.
■ Houd uw vinger of andere voorwerpen nooit in de
buurt van het staafmixermes terwijl deze draait.
■ Laat de (staaf)mixer niet langer dan één minuut
achtereen draaien, aangezien de motor hierdoor
zou kunnen beschadigen. Als u de staafmixer
langer wilt gebruiken dient u deze uit te schakelen
en minstens 4 minuten af te laten koelen.
■ Gebruik de staafmixer alleen binnenshuis.
■ Raak nooit bewegende delen aan. De mesbladen
zijn scherp!
■ Om spatten te voorkomen vloeistoffen altijd in
een hoge maatbeker mixen en de mixer pas
starten als deze ondergedompeld is. Vul de
maatbeker niet te hoog.
■ Let op dat na gebruik de draaiende onderdelen
stil staan.
■ Kinderen en personen met beperkte fysieke, sen-
sorische of geestelijke capaciteiten of een tekort
aan kennis en ervaring mogen de staafmixer niet
gebruiken tenzij er toezicht aanwezig is of instruc-
ties zijn gegeven door een volwassene die ver-
antwoordelijk is voor hun veiligheid.
■ Dit apparaat mag worden gebruikt door
kinderen vanaf 8 jaar en door personen met
verminderde fysieke, zintuiglijke of mentale capa-
citeiten of een gebrek aan ervaring en kennis, als
zij onder toezicht staan of aanwijzingen hebben
gekregen m.b.t. het veilig gebruik en de mogelijke
gevaren van dit apparaat, door iemand die ver-
antwoordelijk is voor hun veiligheid.
