• Keepthetoolsingoodconditions;donotremoveeithersafetypartsorsilencers.
• Afterrepairingand/oradjusting,makesureyouhavealreadyremovedtheadjustingspanners.
• Beforedisconnectingcompressedairhosefromthetoolmakesurethatthereisnopressureinthehose.
• Theseinstructionsmustbecarefullyfollowed.

GENERAL NOTES AND USE
Thetoolcanbeemployedonlyforthreadedinserts
withthreadofM3toM8(metreictool)or#6-32
to5/16-18(uniedtool)diameter.TheAE60oil
pneumaticsystemassuresmorepowerthanthe
pneumaticsystemusedforothermodels.Thatmeans
areductionintheproblemsduetothewearandtear
ofthecomponents,therefore,therewillbeanincrease
inreliability.Thetechnicalsolutionsadoptedreduce
thedimensionsandtheweightofthetoolwhich,for
thesereasons,makeitveryhandy.Thepossibilitiesof
leakagefromtheoil-dynamicsystem,areeliminated
bysomesealedgaskets,whichsolvethisproblem.

andtearofthecomponentsinmovement,thereforewesuggesttousealubricativegroupforcompressed
air.

Makesurethatthecoupletie-rod/headmountedonyourrivetingtoolissuitablefortheinserttoclamp;
otherwise,changesizeaccordingly.Usuallytherivetingtoolissuppliedwiththecoupletie-rod/head
correspondingtoaM8thread.Beforeusingtherivetingtoolandafteranychangeofsize,performthe
followingoperationsaccordingtothesizeandthicknessoftheparttoclamp.Adjusttherivetingtoolstroke
totheminimumbyturningtheringnut“G”to“–”markedonthetool.Placetheinsertontothetierodand
pushslightlyonitsoastomakeitclampautomatically.Makesuretheinsertheadtouchestherivetingtool
headproperly.Fastentheinsertandinordertoensureaproperclampingofthematerial,adjusttheriveting
toolstrokebyturningtheringnut“G”accordingly.Byincreasingstroke,i.e.byturningtheringnut“G”
to“+”,thedistance“H”betweenheadandinsertdeformationwilldecreaseandclampingwillresultmore
effective.
WARNING!!! A WRONG ADJUSTMENT OF THE RIVETING TOOL STROKE MAY CAUSE A FAULTY
CLAMPING OF INSERTS AND MAY BRAKE THE TIE ROD!

CHANGE OF SIZE
Dependingoninsertthread,itisnecessarytoreplacethecouple“tie-rod/head”asfollows:
Picture 1.Loosentheringnutbymeansofa25-mmstandardspannerandremovetherivetingtoolhead.
Picture 2.Makethepinsuppliedpassthroughthepertinentserviceholelocatedontheconecarrying
headandapplyalightpressureontheheadinwards,inordertodechuckthetierodclutch,atthesame
time,unscrewthetierodandextractit.
Picture 3-4.Keeptheclutchdechuckedandscrewthetierodsizedesired.Whenthereplacementofthetie
rodhasbeenperformed,swingituntilyouhearaclick.Theassembletheproperheadandlockitwiththe
correspondingringnutloosenbefore.Eachtimeyoucarryoutandchangeofsize,repeattheadjustment
operationsasspeciedinthepreviouspages.

Youneedtotopuptheoil-dynamiccircuitafteralongperiodofwork,whenyounoteapowerloss.Putthe
rivetingtool(DWELL AND NOT FED)inahorizontalpositionandremovetheplug(A),bymeansofa5mm
Allenwrench(equippedwiththerivetingtool);duringthisoperation,checktheoillevelinordertoavoid
anyoverowingThen,slowlypourtheoilPANOLIN HLP ISO 32intothebellowscontainer(X)whichshall
bescrewedtoitsseatontheplug(A).Whilekeepingtherivetingtoolinahorizontalpositionandstart-
ing air feeding,pushthetensilestrengthbuttonandmaketherivetingtoolcarryoutsomecyclesuntilair
bubblesinsidethecontainer(X)stopcomingout.Thisconditionindicatesthatthetoppingofftheoilhas
fullybeenachieved.Atthispointstop the air feedingand,whilekeepingtherivetingtoolinahorizontal
position,unscrewandcloseupthecontainer(X)andtheplug(A).
WARNING! Before disconnecting the compressed air hose, make sure that it is not under pressure! We
recommend to use oil PANOLIN HLP ISO 32 DIN 51524-2/HLP or similar.
TOPPING UP THE OIL-DYNAMIC CIRCUIT
Warning: Make sure that the oil filler cap
(A) is tightened at a torque corresponding
to Min. 5 Nm ÷ Max. 8 Nm.
