SAFETY FIRST
All products manufactured and sold by iTOOLco, are sold with the express understanding that
the purchaser and user are thoroughly familiar with the safe use, proper care and application of
the product.
Responsibility for the safe use, proper care and application of the product rests with the user.
Failure of the product can occur due to misapplication, abuse, overloading, or improper care
and maintenance.
There are numerous government and industry standards that cover products manufactured and
sold by iTOOLco. This document makes no attempt to reference all of them. We do reference
standards that are most current like ASME B30.26-2010 “detachable load indicating devices.”
Ratings shown in iTOOLco literature are only applicable to new or “as new condition” products.
Rated capacities define the greatest force or load a product can carry under usual or normal
environmental conditions. Shock loading and extraordinary conditions must be taken into
account when selecting products and product capacity.
Some of the products in the iTOOLco catalogs are designed for use with rigging hardware and
components which could be supplied from several different manufacturers. It is crucial that you
read and understand the literature from these manufacturers, as well as governmental
standards and industry technical manuals.
The rated capacity, design factor and efficiency rating of each iTOOLco product may be affected
by wear, misuse, overloading, corrosion, deformation, intentional alteration, age and other use
conditions. The recommended proof load on all items manufactured and sold by iTOOLco is
twice the working load limit (WLL), unless otherwise shown. Proof testing is included on all
iTOOLco load indicating products.

WARNING – PERSONAL SAFETY HAZARDS
The Safe Pull Running Line Tension Meter is used in conjunction
with other equipment and running cable or synthetic ropes.
Only qualified personnel should install the product.
This manual presumes the operator is qualified to rig and work
with cable or synthetic in all situations.
Make sure the cable or synthetic rope diameter and expected
tension are suitable for the model of Safe Pull Running Line
Tension Meter you are using – if in doubt do not proceed and
take advice.
FAILURE TO OBSERVE THESE WARNINGS CAN RESULT IN SEVERE
INJURY OR DEATH.
WARNING – ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARDS
Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water
entering a power tool can increase the risk of electric shock.
Plug into a (GFCI) ground fault interrupted circuit outlet only.
Use a 20 Amp 120 Volt extension cord no more than 100 feet in
length. Maintain proper care of power cords. Do not use the
cord to carry the tool or pull the plug from an outlet. Replace
damaged cords immediately. Damaged cords can increase the
risk of electrical shock. Do not use this tool near live circuits.

maximum speed of 50 meters per minute – check cable or
synthetic rope speeds – if in doubt do not
proceed and take advice.
Check the Safe Pull Running Line Tension Meter for any visual
fractures, wear or deformation.
The sheave has needle roller bearings but movement of the
sheave on the axle should be checked and should be less than
1mm
The rope must be in the sheave and the Safe Pull Running Line

SET UP AND OPERATION
Step 1. A fixing method needs to be found for
each individual Safe Pull Running Line Tension
Meter before it is rigged.
The Safe Pull Running Line Tension Meter needs
to be fixed in such a way, that it is kept as
vertical as possible or use provided mount.
The fixing method could be by bolting down (1)
or by chains or by wire attached to the shackles
on the Safe Pull Running Line Tension Meter (2).
Figure (3) shows how to attach shackles.
If an articulated arm is required, please contact
your local iTOOLco partner for more
information.
The chosen method depends on the possibilities
and the surroundings on your worksite.
