WARNINGS
1. There are sharp edges on external measurement jaws (g. 1/1), internal
measurement jaws (g. 1/2) and depth rod (g. 1/3). To prevent cuts be very
careful when using the caliper.
2. Do not make measurements of rotating objects. Rotating parts (e.g. of a
working machine) may cause body injuries. It also causes faster wear of the
caliper measurement surfaces.
3. Do not apply voltage (e.g. of electric tester) to any part of the caliper, it may
damage electronic assembly of the caliper.
4. Remove battery from the caliper, when it is not to be used for a long time.

CALIPER OPERATION
Ensure all caliper surfaces are free from grease, dust, dirt and lings before
starting to use the caliper. Use a cloth to wipe all measurement surfaces of the
caliper before starting to work. Use of any organic uid is forbidden. Ensure that all
buttons and LCD display operate correctly.
To make a measurement:
• loosen slider lock screw (g. 1/7),
• press ON/OFF button (g. 1/12)
• select desired measurement unit by pressing the unit toggle button (g. 1/9) –
every time the button is pressed, measurement units change,
• use the slider shi roller (g. 1/8) to move the jaws closer; displayed value
(g. 1/6) should be zero; when it is not so, press the zero adjustment button
(g. 1/10),
• display can be zeroed at any point within the measurement range.
Measuring external dimensions (g. 2)
• Position measured object as close to the guide reference surface as possible,
• Move measurement jaws to contact outer surfaces of measured object.
Measuring internal dimensions (g. 3)
• Slide internal measurement jaws as deep as possible,
• Move measurement jaws to contact inner surfaces of measured hole.
Measuring depth (g. 4)
• Slide the depth measurement rod into the hole and position the guide
perpendicular to reference surface of the measurement.
Dierential measurements (using display zero adjustment, g. 5)
• Used for e.g. deviation from a standard, zeroing at a calibration dimension.
MAINTENANCE
1. Keep the caliper dry and clean (any uid may damage the slider) (g 1/11).
2.
Measurement jaws should be delicately wiped with a cloth. Never use petrol,
acetone or any other organic liquid.
3. To save power when the calliper is not used for some time, switch it o with
the OFF button (g. 1/12).
4. Except for the above, all other rules of operation for a standard caliper apply.
